goodbye my fellow makjang fan, hope we meet again soon.
Same but I like thrillers too π wish they'd make more of those classic makjangs again like East of Eden than those artificial high class society dramas nowadays. Anyways hope to see you there in the comment section!
goodbye my fellow makjang fan, hope we meet again soon.
I'll talk about this in private message with you if you don't mind since I'm gonna go rambling here again with another long post and it's gonna go off topic from Second Husband π it's nice to chat with other people who likes these obscure/unpopular daily dramas (except I'm only interested in the makjang ones instead of slice of life 'cause those cliffhangers makes me motivated to watch more of it). There was another nice relatable user who liked AMIAV with me back then but she's busy IRL and not active on MDL...
goodbye my fellow makjang fan, hope we meet again soon.
"no going back" trueee it's funny Uhm Hyun Kyung was secretly a chaebol heiress for 3 different dramas now! I didn't really see any The Promise vibes from that trailer? π€ The Promise was pretty good, I actually liked Seo Joon Young's character there more than Sang Hyuk who felt too one dimensional. That ending music gets me pumped up for the show! As someone who likes listening to instrumental BGM it enhances the viewing experience for me. I was so addicted to AMIAV I wrote a ton of comments there and even 2 people admitted they wanted to watch the drama because of me LOL one of them said I was promoting the show more than the actual creators π I loved the ML Seo Ha Joon from Phoenix 2020 even though it's low rated/plot wasn't that good, but the romance was better than the original 2004 version. So that's why I'm eager to watch his next one. I feel bored of newer k-dramas nowadays but for some reason I'm always addicted to these makjang dramas π they don't make those older makjang like East of Eden or The Innocent Man anymore so I watch dailies or lakorns for that.. it's always about those artificial high class society dramas nowadays that feels like a knock off of Sky Castle/The World of the Married.
goodbye my fellow makjang fan, hope we meet again soon.
I watched dailies since Gracious Revenge (2019) aired (Ji Soo Won was in that one as the villain) the cliffhangers were killing me everyday π but I skipped out on Love Twist. I was addicted to Uhm Hyun Kyung's previous drama A Man in a Veil too, this was a reunion drama for her and Kim Hee Jung except she was also a villain there. I even listed all the ones I watched on my profile except for Ugly Alert which was a slice of life.
Can't wait I need something after the second husband ends π
Lol where are the rest of Second Husband watchers at π I would've had doubts about watching this tbh since the synopsis sounds vague but I'm here for Seo Ha Joon π
I don't think it is. But the plot reminds me a bit of the novel "Before I Go to Sleep" by S.J. Watson?
That was weird I got 2 notifications from you but only 1 reply here, maybe because you edited your original comment? I honestly forgotten about the title since I read it a long time ago but didn't watch the movie π sometimes there are plots that feel similar since it's harder to come up with original ideas nowadays with so many shows/movies coming out. For example, Utsukushii Hito/Love in Sadness sounds like "Sleeping with the Enemy" except with plastic surgery. I'm listing that just because it's also about a wife/husband plot.
Same with me. Rather disappointed with their reunion here.
The way they ended the 2nd leads like that just felt too strange for me, why couldn't they just give them a happy ending? Even if this was supposed to be karma/punishment for Sa Ra, Cha Gun didn't deserve this. also, Young Guk did seem too harsh on her in the beginning with that first rejection before she did all this nonsense π€ Back to watching those 100 ep makjang daily dramas instead.
wanted to watch this for the 2nd leads originally but was highly disappointed. Most of that screentime of her clinging onto the ML/taking advantage of his memory loss despite being rejected multiple times and being kicked out of the house could've been used to develop a good 2nd leads love story but that failed miserably.. If you're looking for a good love story out of them avoid this and watch Apgujeong Midnight Sun instead
Anyways hope to see you there in the comment section!

the writer deliberately left it gender neutral. Check out this Soompi forums post for explanation on the missing kid https://forums.soompi.com/topic/464641-current-drama-2021-the-second-husband-%EB%91%90%EB%B2%88%EC%A7%B8-%EB%82%A8%ED%8E%B8-mon-fri-1950-kst/?do=findComment&comment=22320770
