i'm so excited for this i would honestly watch anything with peat in it, i read that peats character will be older then forts this time so true to real life and honestly thank god i loved them in love in the air but fort is so young and has such a baby face he really can't pull off playing the older mature one in a CP with peat
i am already totally in love with this series, i mean i knew i would be going into it because i adore jafirst but i'm actually super invested in the storyline.
also wtf punns house is Absolutely fricken stunning omg i want to live there
the trailer defiantly made me excited it looks absolutely beautiful and i'm a massive sucker for historical asian film but i gotta say it didn't even hint at any romance, did they ever actual say it was a BL or did we all just assume it?
I wasn't happy with Pat for making Jeng cry. That man is so fine. Last episode, I really defended Pat's actions…
the thing with pat is you need to remember is he sees jeng as a "perfect" man he says as much in multiple episodes, and pat is defiantly not "perfect" (hint neither is jeng but self doubt is a killer) he in that moment literally cannot understand how someone who is as kind and smart and helpful and in a totally different social and monetary class could like him.
what he says comes off as rude and insensitive to jeng but he doesn't mean it like that he just genuinely can't understand how he could be loved by someone who in his eyes has everything, pat doesn't have a lot of self confidence the way he reacts to the confession is incredibly realistic for a lot of people.
instead of reiterating all my other comments saying how much i love this show (which i do , so much) i just want to say what the genuine hell was the point in put? in the novel put is just some rando pat dates for a couple of months before he gets together with jeng he has no place in the story it feels very much like, and i say this as big fan of up, that they only added so much to the character because ups company is part of the production se he was automatically given a large role
I wonder if this is going to be a bit like a thai version of the king and the clown? If so boy am i expecting to have my heart not only broken but fully ripped from my chest and stepped on i cant wait :D
i really want this show to have a second season, i'd love if Jeng and Pat didn't get together until ep11/12 and then have a second season where they are dating the entire time but are dealing with the inevitable issues involving work and most likely Jengs parents (at least dad) that would came from them being together i don't usually care if BLs have more then one season but i really think it would work for step by step (and call it something cringy like step together)
i rewatched ep7 lol man this show does such a good job of conveying the underlining mood of a scene with colour, i love the way the scenes with pat and put have a cold, blue, and dark vibe when they are together contrasting the warm gentle light when he is with jeng.
Nah uh, it's called Step By Step not Baby Steps, even the side couples had more action, making me wait SIX EPISODE…
i don't think you understand what a slow burn romance is, also they have had chemistry before ep.6 just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it aint there
i really feel like this series is being so unfairly judged about literally every aspect of it it's crazy i mean it's totally fine if you don't like the show diffrent strokes and all that but people are hating on everything and i don't get it.
first, as a person Pat is neither very assertive or outgoing and is probably not the type to take the first step in a relationship, ESPECIALY when the other person is his direct boss at work and unlike 90% of other BLs step by step is fully grounded in reality which means not only would Pat be scared of being turned down he could also face the very really probability of being fired and and blacklisted from other companies Jeng has ties to which is why we will only see the relationship start to develop once Jeng makes the first move.
second, people talking about how weird nonsensical Pat and Puts story is, like what? it makes perfect sense Put completely abandoned Pat out of the blue which is why he was so angry with him but he is also someone he deeply loved and was most likely Pats first or at least first meaningful relationship so it makes perfect sense that he caved in so fast he still remembers what they used to have and how much it meant to him.
third, the criticism of Ben is honestly disgusting, is he the best actor ever? no of course not he's a 21yr and this is the first thing he's ever acted in which considering i think he's doing a pretty damn good job, and the way some of y'all are insulting they way he looks is fucked like you don't find him attractive who cares you don't have to but making fun of his facial features or outright calling him ugly is plain gross. people will eat up the most abusive, rapey characters and act like they are the epitome of good writing but shit on a character because he's a bit whiney it's wild.
i just don't get it if you don't like the show don't keep watching it no one has a gun to your head there is 1000s of other BLs to watch if you don't like this one
idk bout anyone one else but i am AbsolutLy thrilled for this show, does it looks cringe as hell? damn straight but it also looks adorable and sweet and simple and i hope the rest of the buddy animal line minie series have the same vibe, i'm excited for some shots of pure sugar
i'm putting out my predictions now so i can look back and week at how wrong i was after the series has aired! firstly i think topmew will be end game and get a fairly happy ending but i think they are the only couple that will, i read someone say first or khao say ray/san end up together but i don't believe that at all i think one of their characters is going to die or end up in jail, nick i could see getting a happy ending with someone else and i bet boston is going to lose EVERYTHNG by the end of the series.
while i am really enjoying step buy step i think i'm going to put it on pause until the entire series is out, i need to know jeng/pat and end game and have a happy end
only been three episodes so far so i'm trying not to judge to much just yet, overall the show is fine it's nothing incredible but it so far at least doesn't have any major faults either, episode three really did not need so many flashbacks it added nothing to the show and just made the whole episode feel drawn out, now i'm normally a sucker for soul mate storys but i'm not sure if this one is gonna be it for me i couldn't care less about phat lol no offense to pee but i find his acting slightly off-putting almost robotic like his face just doesn't move enough to seem real, lom on the other hand i am in love with he seems more real and his acting is more organic (and ngl i think he is way hotter) i would love to see him and tai end up together. P.S title is adorable and i wanna squish his cheeks
That thing with Beam was so weird. I thought she wrote in the group chat first because she was finding it difficult…
she actually messaged beam first and then posted it in the group chat which makes it even more wild like who does that, i hope her and khanun don't have any issues i love poppy to much to see him sad lol
i didn't like jaab much to begin with as he seemed to not care at all that jan had a boyfriend now i hate jan just as much lol it's really not that hard to not cheat. chot and his boyfie/fiance added nothing to this episode but it was super cute so i'm not even mad, Ae confuses me, does she want the baby? does she even want to marry khanun? is she cheating with beam? why did she tell him about the pregnancy before her actual boyfriend, is it beams baby? Up and Ben look like they could be brother so seeing them act couply is kind of off to me, Man and Ben however look incredible together i don't care if there are any NC scenes in the series but i hope we at least get some sweet sweet romantic moments with them.
and lastly this show is first and foremost an office drama with the BL romance being a secondary aspect to it, the writers, directors and actors have all stated this so if you are waiting for the work to be less important in later episodes you are going to be disappointed
my two biggest complaints about this series is pats horrifically bad ability to not take everything so personally and jaab and jans entire storyline, i'm hoping pats maturity is something that grows along with his and jengs relationship plus his confidence and work ethic. i really really wish they didn't shoehorn in a second couple though they add nothing to the show and and i find both the characters boring and the actors subpar. i said it last week as well but it holds true i am personally enjoying the slow pace and it seems obvious to me that both jeng and pat have some mutual attraction for each other
i'm loving this show so far, i'v seen a fair few complaints about the pacing but i think it works really well a good quality slow burn romance is shockingly rare with BLs and step by step is doing it so right, man and ben are stupidly adorable together and i can't wait to see what kind of fluff they will give. jeng, pat, and ae are all such good characters but i can't say i care for jaab and jen at all saint really isn't great at acting i'm i don't like people who pursue someone already in a relationship it's real scummy i hope they show doesn't focus on them to much
it may only be one episode so far but i completely love it, it's so nice to see new faces in a lead roll and man and ben are doing great so far. and can i just say i am SO happy that pat is not only openly gay but also has had past relationships with men that is sadly so rare in BL so i'm thrilled, big ups to deehup
regardless of whatever technical issues this series has it is 1000% worth watching just to see james in those bathrobes holy god how did he make something so simple look so erotic??!!
also wtf punns house is Absolutely fricken stunning omg i want to live there
