maybe is it because there are so many missing person case that police can't handle and care? and dr. Lee state…
I think it happened in 1995. Also, we can infer that her family wasn't rich enough to help with the search or take care of it themselves. And we forget about the trauma on both sides here. Her mother insisted on staying at the restaurant because she was waiting for her daughter. It's very common in families where a child has been kidnapped or disappeared that they wait until someone brings them or they return on their own. “What if I go somehwere and my daughter comes back?" Besides, the police could tell that if they found her daughter they would bring her to the restaurant, so her mother's reaction was to keep waiting. Lee, on the other hand, was very small. Under the influence of emotions such as fear or shock, her brain may have tried to defend itself against negative emotions by making her forget even the simplest things. It happens that children after a trauma stop talking or unconsciously push away emotions that may be threatening. The same situation happens to Ina/Ena. After seeing the murder of her uncle, in a few hours she is unable to recall any details or the face of the person she saw, and even she herself admits that she is not aware if it wasn't her who killed him, yet we know that she was a teenager. I think the director could have made more of an effort to show some relationships and scenes from Lee's life as a child after she got lost, then it would have been easier to deduce what really happened, because now we can only guess from a psychological angle why the story of mother and daughter turned out the way it did.
I don't buy it that the male psychiatrist (Dr Hwang) had no idea what was going on. I think he is at least an…
Well, I guess that he was shocked when he saw those puzzles on TV. He stated that he never asked her why she had needed those drawings, and she also kept his secret so he trusted her. He probably couldn't believe that she could be a murderer so he wanted to be fair (and probably loyal to her because she didn't tell anyone about his secret) and firstly ask anonymously without further questions. But then it got him. Also, there was a posibility that if he went to the police station immediatelly, he could have been killed as well, or the police could take him as a murderer. So he could be driven by fear
The drama is so far really interesting, I hope they'll hold a high standardfor this drama. Dami as an actress so far never disappointed me. Her acting skills are very natural and versatile, making her a great actress in different drama themes
Business as usual is a charming short kdrama portraying two main characters who decide to give themselves a second chance after 8 years. I like the story, the acting, and the cinematography, which I think has no comparison to bl dramas (or most bl dramas) from other countries. I do like how nature and city views always somehow play a role in the Korean series, so that we can feel like one of the characters. When it comes to the main couple, I liked both characters so much and their chemistry. I like complex characters because the struggle makes them feel real to the viewer. Don't get me wrong, I like Korean dramas about finding a perfect match, a partner who is perfect and has no flaws, who changes the whole world once you get together, BUT I'm a big fan of dramas that show realness. And I think Minjun was that kind of example - he was struggling with believing themself and doubting in happy ending, so he made bad decisions, but he finally got braver when he understood that if he wanted something, he sometimes needed to fight for it. And while watching all episodes, I was reminded of that quote that says, "you don't need to be perfect or perfectly healed to be loved," and nowadays I feel it's true - sometimes we heal when we work, when we make our dreams come true, when we are in a relationship... Healing doesn't require being alone, sometimes we can only heal or fight our fears when we move and do something. The plot was enjoyable. I don't know if it's similar to or the same as the web comic, because I haven't read it. But as a person who didn't know anything about the plot, everything was clear and understandable. Maybe I'd like to see a couple of more scenes of their workplace, but anyway, the plot was fine, focusing mostly on Jinhwae and Minjun's story. I understand if not everyone liked this drama. I think if you are a fan of romantic, perfect characters, you won't enjoy this drama, but I think it's worth seeing!
This drama is about loneliness, pain, trauma, and the hope that one day we will get all the answers to move on with our lives, but also about growth, friendship, and family. It is the perfect recommendation for those who are looking for something comforting, but are not afraid of tears! The acting is on a professional level. I was impressed, because as many as 3 actors are k-idols, and personally I noticed that not every actor-singer can play well. And here they all played their roles very convincingly. Special kudos to Minka, playing Uri, and Eunjung playing the mother. Their representation of emotions was, in my opinion, the most convincing. I think healing occurred on both sides and all the characters understood that despite the trauma and sorrow, there can always be hope and light at the end of the tunnel. The brothers understood that they should support each other and not blame themselves for their actions, while Yeoreum gained friends and family who truly cared and supported her
Are you able to sacrifice everything to make your dreams come true? This drama was a surprise for me. The plot…
I will admit that Ji Hye was pissing me off a lot. I understand that she wanted to be successful and she was envious of Ahyoung, but she got miserable only because of herself and her decisions. Also, I don't think that Ahyoung was a bad friend. It wasn't her fault the direction didn't like Jihye writting and that Myunghwan fell in love with her. She even declined his love because she knows her best friend had crush on him. Personally, I saw her as a green flag friend. Too bad, Jihye prefers to blame everyone else and make sure to take a revange on everyone, rather than say that she f*cked up herself. Sadly, sometimes we meet in our lives people like that
Are you able to sacrifice everything to make your dreams come true? This drama was a surprise for me. The plot was interestingly written with many plot twists and actions during all 6 episodes. I read many comments about this drama and I'm surprised at how many people recognized the main lead as a stalker who wants to be Ubin's girlfriend and treated her as an annoying character. Yes, she was clumsy initially but I think she was also a brilliant written character. Also, not every day we teleport into a laptop to save the world. Honestly, I think all the characters in this series were played very interestingly and realistically, even if we like some of them more and others less. Personally, I think the whole drama tells the story of how much we can give to get what we really want and, also how miserable we can live if we constantly blame others for our mistakes and decisions. And probably only admitting them will let us grow up and learn. This is the first time I've watched an O'pening drama in this format and I'm eager to check out other offerings.
I found this movie randomly while looking for something to watch. The whole story is very heartwarming and nice, mixing scenes of sadness and happiness. While watching this movie, we meet three characters who seem to be very different but develop strong friendships with every minute we watch them. Haneul is a cute and silly girl who has a mental disease and sees everything from a child's perspective. But she is also very talented; she plays violin very well. One day she meets Bada - a depressed girl who her parents abandoned. Girls, even though seem to be different, try to find a similar language and become friends. A big congratulations to Nara for playing a great role. Her character is believable and very easy to like. I think it is unusual for us to see characters with various difficulties or illnesses who are not portrayed as stereotypical, only sad and characterless. The movie was released in 2009 and the money paid for the production came from Jang Nara's family so obviously we can't expect the fantastic special effects that we see today. Some scenes look funny, unprofessional, or even weird compared to what we could see if the movie was made these days. However, I think that for fans of Korean cinema, this might be an interesting one to watch. We see characters wearing very normal clothes, and living in apartments that we probably wouldn't see in today's movies or series. Everything seems to look very normal. Honestly, I think it added charm and normalcy to the story. As a viewer, I could feel that the characters could be my neighbors or school friends.
A really nice prequel that can be treated just like a tv series. The visuality and cinematography are on top. I know that not many people are fans of slow movement but I actually loved it in this drama. It seems to be a story full of little moments that we can cherish or be sad about with little dialogues here and there. And I love that even if we didn't get much of it, some conversations were left open sometimes, you could, as a viewer, observe their thoughts and what they wanted to say to each other through their expressions. The time of fever is short but I think the story is well balanced, it portrays to us the first love emotions, confusion and hopefully, acceptance. It's something a lot of queer people needs to deal with every day, that's why I liked it. The drama isn't all cute, rainbows and butterflies, but also the reality of life. I haven't watched the other drama which is continuation, so the ending was something that I'm okay with, and personally, I think it matches the whole structure of the series.
I'll be honest, seeing Dongwook in one of the main roles had me expecting more. Yes, he acted well, just like the other actors, but after the movie, I felt like they didn't utilize the full potential. The movie tells the story of two people who seem to be polar opposites and need to work together on an essay. While it attempted to blend romance and melodrama, at times, it felt more like a documentary on book publishing. I'm not the youngest K-drama watcher, so I don't expect action in every movie. I like films about daily, basic life that I can connect to, but this one didn't hit that spot. It has nice, calm scenery and good songs. There were opportunities for the screenwriter to delve deeper into themes of love, personal growth, pain, and loneliness, but the easy plot turned out to be boring. Finally, just when the movie started to get more interesting, and we learned about the main character's past and his view on love, it turned out that the movie was about to end
After reading many comments I expected more from this drama and especially from the plot twist. As a fan of Korean…
To be honest, in the whole drama I only felt sorry for YoungHo, because it was clear that despite the misfortune that befell him, he cared about his foster sister. Unluckily, he ended up with sick parents, fascinated by religion, who instead of realizing he was sick, thought he was possessed. I think that because of what both of his parents went through as children, what happened happened. From the ajumma's story, we know that Myunghee was ridiculed from the very beginning, was disfigured and traumatized. That's probably why she couldn't understand what siblings and real love is. Also SeoHa's father messed up everything and his actions after all haunted also his daughter. Also, I must admit that Kyungsoo's acting was impressive at times.
After reading many comments I expected more from this drama and especially from the plot twist. As a fan of Korean crime series, I found the story a bit predictable and by the end of the ep 3, I already suspected everything. In my opinion it's a very average drama, I wouldn't rewatch it, and I felt a bit bored in some scenes. I think the idea and plot wasn't that bad especially that the director combined it with shamanism so it added a bit mysterious and mystical thread. It also touched on a taboo subject. Although I know many people found it disgusting, I think it happens more often than we think, but like in this drama, it is often well hidden. When it comes to acting, I personally didn't find it very appealing what I noticed in many korean dramas made by netflix. At times I was waiting for more reactions from the characters, which could have established a better bond with the viewer and made us more involved in what was happening on screen. I give it a 6.5.
A movie with a a seemingly straightforward plot telling the story of a popular footballer who loves getting into trouble and needs to face challenge: assembling a team of individuals seemingly unfamiliar with the game to compete in a championship, all to redeem his tarnished reputation. Initially, I anticipated a clichéd narrative of a privileged youth exploiting the less fortunate to save his image. However, my expectations were swiftly shattered as the film revealed itself as a brilliant and heartwarming tale that left me teary-eyed by its conclusion. Beyond the apparent simplicity of the storyline, the movie delves into the lives of an underclass in our society who face different problems and hate due to different sexualities, illnesses, or family problems. I think that football is only a metaphor there for showing us that it's always worth fighting until the end, even though we see other people as more successful or richer. The film underscores the value of eschewing easy paths, illustrating that by earnestly striving, we can forge meaningful connections and create lasting memories with those around us—an invaluable aspect of life. The comedic interludes not only elicited smiles but also provided a necessary balance to the weightier themes explored. I think the movie transcends its initial appearance, evolving into a powerful exploration of human resilience, empathy, and the significance of authentic connections. It serves as a reminder that behind every individual lies a story unknown, and by embracing the journey, we may uncover shared moments that define the richness of life.
I believe Day is wrong about his brother. The accident was caused by Day himself. At least this is recognized,…
What I understood (its only my opinion), he was bad because he was partying and drinking while Day was a "good son" because he was a sportsmen and winning matches, he probably was a good student as well. It doesn't mean that he was really "bad" because he did something terrible. And Day probably hold a grudge because, again, Night was out drinking and Day needed to be an older brother and take him home. So he used this as an excuse. - If I hadn't have to pick Night up, it wouldn't have happened and I'd be healthy. - it's a common behavior for people to put the blame on things or others when they are suffering. Then, from Day's dad words we know that Night was blaming himself for what had happened, too. That's why he stopped drinking and partying. He changed himself because he was feeling guilty. He knew that if he wasn't drunk, they would have had the accident. But Day thought that he changed not because he was sorry, he probably misunderstood Night's behavior. From the ep 1, we know that Day thought everyone was pitying him. Maybe he thought that his brother does that to achieve something, not because he is truly sorry. I think he realized that when he was talking to his father because he showed him the other perspective. I think we'll see Night and Day having a heart to heart conversation soon. About Day's mom, yes what he did was probably selfish but he probably did it because she was deeply hurt and she wanted her kids's father being hurt as well. She had nothing else to do but pack her bags and take kids with herself. Is it good? No. But she probably only showed her side of the story to her children where she did nothing wrong. And Day was little so he didn't remember or have any memories of his father, so he didn't call into question what could've really happened back then. I am a kid of the same situation and only when you are old enough and when enough time passes you can notice that maybe there is another side of the story
Overall, the movie was fine. Not something that I expected to be because the synopsis on the website where I watched…
If I can be honest, as far as I felt the love and romantic feelings from Kim Young, I wouldn't say that about Hansol. In future times, she told her sister about her first biggest love but we didn't see that clearly. At times I thought she wasn't interested. Maybe the director focused on showing the whole situation from Kim's perspective, so he emphasised the fact that after he heard about future of Hansol, he started being more suspicious. Anyway, I would kinda prefer to see more plot of Kim Young, Hansol and his best friend because I got kinda left between Youngji being a good friend and secretly crushing on Kim Young's girlfriend. Some scenes like him fixing Hansol hair, peeking and smiling to her are mostly showed between loving interests. So it gives me a thought that in a scenario where Munee doesn't use HAM radio and she never meet the main character, either Hansol or Youngji would cheat. And I will never understand that concept of starting dating your best friend's gf or ex, even if you miss that person. The other thing that I wasn't a fan of was Kim's disappearance. I think it's kinda wild scenario. I would prefer to see a scene where he goes abroad or something. I just think disapperance is such a big thing to do like you disappear in the middle of the night without your things and just start a new life? And you can correct me if I'm wrong but Munee and her parents were living in Kim Young's house in future times? Because it emphasise only that Youngji took from his best friend everything he could: from his pet, his girlfriend to his house. Of course, I understand that if Hansol and Kim Young would marry each other, Munee could never being born and Kim Young sacrificed himself to save her and meet her in person one day. That's why he became Munee's miracle. But I also think that since they started talking via HAM, the future should start changing, because in normal scenario, he wouldn't get a call and know anything about Munee
Overall, the movie was fine. Not something that I expected to be because the synopsis on the website where I watched the movie was inexact. I also haven't seen the original version from 2000. So, I thought it would be more like a romantic slow-burn with a time-traveling plot. Something that I usually enjoy a lot. I think the production and acting were great. I really liked the melancholic vibe of the movie and the main plot of Kim Young and Munee meeting through HAM, helping each other, and practically becoming best friends while learning about life in the present and past. I think their friendship is developed very well in the movie. Thanks to it, we as viewers, can understand the next steps and behavior of the main lead character. What I feel that was not made very well was the second plot of Kim Young and Hansol. I guess it's a screentime issue, but I didn't feel completely gripped by their plot and I couldn't feel that chemistry. I would prefer if we had more scenes about them so maybe we would understand it better. I also didn't feel convinced by some of their actions and words. I'll tell more in the next comment, under this one so there will be no spoilers.
It was a very good movie and a way to watch it by people not very interested in historical movies. I don't think there were comedy moments at all! I liked how they made it into a musical version. The songs were heart-tugging, mostly sad but also uplifting for the characters who were singing them. They also gave the atmosphere to the whole story. The whole story about Ahn Junggeun, who was a real person, was very interesting. All the actors and actresses did their very best. I'd like to highlight Goeun's acting skills. She's a phenomenal actress who can play in every kind of movie and series, from romances to fantasy to historic movies. I think she should have been more appreciated by the cinema.
i might be dumb but did the ml's mom get off the bus? or when and where did she see the news? i was convinced…
I think we don't know where she watched the news but the ML said she hadn't seen them. maybe it was her way to get an alibi? she could get off from the bus on another station
