regardless of how talented they are, they're too plastic and generic tbh...can't help but wish kdrama creators would cast more unique-looking actors/actresses
"Her ribs were injured when they were playing around previously... "Wtf? Who breaks a RIB from just…
@DreamingKoreanBallad that's right, what you gave is an example of an injury that clearly exists outside the realm of an abusive relationship. That's not the same thing as domestic abuse in any way, shape, or form.
@Raincat yeah keep deflecting. Rather than trying to protect your ego you might want to take a good hard look at the excuses you're making and see how your comments aren't above criticism.
No. Claiming that she "could have hired people to do that to her" is disgusting and it's victim-blaming at its worst. If you're a very suspicious person as you say then I wonder why you're only being highly critical and suspicious of her motives and not his. Even likeable people who seem totally normal are rapists and abusers, just because it's hard to imagine doesn't mean it's okay to be in denial.
No one knows the real story..And actually, this sounds like a drama to me..I've already seen Shut Up Flower Boy…
...and that's exactly why you don't learn about the way real-life works by watching dramas. Not to mention, many of the so-called scandals you see in dramas are meant to cast female characters in a bad light (e.g. as manipulative golddiggers for instance) and they portray the male character as an innocent saint who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I suggest you don't take life lessons from that shit
I think we need first wait with what official investigation ends. All third partie comments and media trials are…
"All third party comments and media trials are meaningless and harm both sides"?
Are you serious? There's concrete proof of her injuries and the abuse that she suffered from him. How in the world can you even act like anything about this "neutral" stance of yours is anything but an apologist stance is beyond me
"Her ribs were injured when they were playing around previously... "Wtf? Who breaks a RIB from just…
but that's why it's not relevant in this context. it's not that it's difficult to break a rib, but in this kind of case you can't deflect from the situation by claiming that it was done in any way other than by severe physical abuse. if you don't want to defend anybody here then you gotta realize that listing other possible causes isn't appropriate. when you do that, you ARE choosing a side, whether you realize it or not (i.e. of making excuses in favor of KHJ).
Anyone who defends his actions needs to take a seat. What he's done is disgusting. The worst thing is that he'll probably get away with it and continue to shamelessly show his face in public without any repercussions.
Yes! So excited! Hopefully they will do it right. *crosses fingers that it turns out amazing* I am so glad it…
yeah that's a very good sign, the live-shoot system always ruins the quality of a drama lol and 10 episodes means it's less likely to have filler scenes too
This drama represents the reason why I loved Kdramas in the first place. I find myself hooked up to screen following…
thanks! Yun Ji's also one of my faves
btw, do you know what the name of the actress who played the teenage girl is? The one that looks like a younger version of Moon Geun Young?
if you like low-key slice of life dramas where the characters are realistic then this drama is definitely more like that, it's not a glossy kdrama. 50 episodes don't seem long at all when the story and the characters are all so good. darksmurfsub are doing such an awesome job with the subs btw :) make sure to thank them
I wonder if she is going to save him and give him CPR? But everyone is bothered by d age, I'm not disturbed.
She's 14 years old AKA a minor. I'm assuming you're a minor yourself, because trust me when I say that when you'll be older you'll cringe at the idea. And you can't excuse things by saying it's "just a show" or "it's acting," that's not how it works. Also, using the argument that "she looks older for her age" is a classic line used by pedophiles and their apologists, just in case any of you guys aren't sure what you sound like.
I didn't think it was slow-paced at all, the plot actually moved along pretty quickly. It's a movie, so it's not…
I meant that the format is different than a televised one. The slow pacing here is definitely antithetical to what we see in a typical drama, especially since there's more visual symbolism being utilized and that's why there's many shots that linger on the subjects.

p.s. - jsyk, J*p is a racial slur, it's better to just say Japanese or jpn. if you must
