The lead actress's acting feels kind of weird to me. Like, the way she laughs and talks... I don't really like…
I think the real problem here is how often actresses in TWdramas are given these badly written characters, it's not the actress's fault.

although its the in thing or whatever. I find the noona romance weird. It feels like romancing your aunt or something.…
So why did you come here to voice your opinion if you're not gonna watch it anyway?

"To watch or not to watch; that is the question."
(from Koalasplayground): "That drama is like a moron frankensteined combination of parts of other idol dramas and then handed to two actors who can't act and have no chemistry."
So to summarize...it's pretty bad, yeah :p Go for "In A Good Way" if you want a Taiwanese drama ^^

I know what you mean, but I don't see why she is getting picked on when Aaron Yan's acting is pretty much on the same level. And real life rumors don't have anything to do with acting, he's been sketchy too and no one seemed to talk about that or equate his IRL persona with the role he's playing.
Is there anyone who's keeping track of how many times they've boinked already? lol they're breaking records, it's…
I don't know at what episode you dropped it, but this drama's really well done with a lot of attention to detail (unlike Sleeping Jukujo, this is a literary piece). If you want to understand what's going on better you could read recaps like Koalasplayground/Creatingvolumes/Noonasoverforks and episodes-outside-seoul also has lots of great commentary about it.

Yeah, if you don't get the symbolism and nuances or appreciate them then it's probably not your cup of tea. You don't have to force yourself into it...it's not geared towards a young audience to begin with.
The female lead is like a Candy character on acid...it's hard not to facepalm 10 times an episode
lol I think it's still worth watching if you don't mind all the clichés :p It has a nice soundtrack and overall it's a really feel-good drama, even with the facepalming and all haha
I love the lead actor. The way he's playing the character is so amazing. You could really tell the difference…
I also really love the production team that's working on this and I hope they keep up the good work ^^
"A Wife's Credentials" is supposedly the most similar to this drama since it has the same director, writer, half of the SLA cast, etc. :D It's probably worth checking out
The mother's death was clichéd, yeah...but it does aid the story and Sun Jae's character growth in a way. It allowed Sun Jae to face real adult challenges on his own for the first time in his life, and hence he grew emotionally as a person. I suspect they'll use that to legitimize and intensify his passion/emotional turmoil as a pianist and a lover in future episodes.

Yeah, the intensity was definitely more meaningful than most Kdrama kisses, I agree. It was kind of more about how it changed everything between Hye-won and Sun-jae than about the actual act itself.
And she invited him in because she wanted to have the upper hand in the situation. Whether or not she had feelings for him is only secondary to her interest in being in control of her life and restore its normal order.
By inviting Sun-jae in, she was able to reclaim control as well as lock him in where she wants him (i.e. in the piano room, as a student). By putting him in that spot she gave herself the opportunity to be the one who decides what the next move is, not him. So it was more about her having the ability to rationally be in charge of the situation, and then decide where she'd want to go from there.

Agreed...but hopefully not exactly like that kiss, since it wasn't supposed to be romantic. It was aggressive and not necessarily consensual. <br />It'd be nice to see more kisses where the female lead is fully into it rather than her being submissive and unaffected (especially when violence is involved)...
