Bae Seokryu has been a realistic and relatable character for me, and I’m glad to see her pursuing her dreams…
You perfectly summed up what I feel about this drama! I share the same sentiments with you, Seokryu is the most relatable character for me too, as I have experienced most of what she had went through.

I agree! I think one of the reasons why Seokryu's love has been heavily misunderstood is because she is more of a silent lover type, her love for him is evident through her actions than words. I think people tend to overlook this part very much in the drama. Seokryu's love for Seunghyo is all there, throughout the storyline. We just have to look beyond the obvious that is shown. So, I never found their relationship one-sided because I know that Seokryu's love for Seunghyo is there.

If I may ask, who enjoys sad dramas more Chinese or Korean? What are some of your favorites.
These have sad endings
K-Drama:
20th Century Girl
The Hymn Of Death
Snowdrop
Youth of May
Uncontrollably Fond
The Red Sleeve
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes

If you want more sad stories, I suggest J-dramas and J-movies they have more sad and tear jerking stories imo.

J-Drama/Movie:
Even if this love disappears from the world tonight
I give my first love to you (2009 ver)
A litre of tears
Orange
Your lie in april

It's not actually a drag but has to do more with the pace of the story which is 'slow'. Since the romance trope…
So true! that's one of the things which I specifically love about LND. The transition was so perfect that their romance felt so real and natural.

it started out really good but the drag is real with this one. i just cant get myself to actually enjoy the story…
It's not actually a drag but has to do more with the pace of the story which is 'slow'. Since the romance trope here is the slow-burn type. This drama also gives the feel of slice of life and realism. So, if you are the type who likes dramas that are fast-paced, solely romance focused and fluff from get-go, then this drama won't fit your cup of tea. The romance starts at ep 11 hehe

Has anyone here watched Alchemy of Souls or Snowdrop? I’m thinking about giving them a try and would love to…
I had watched both and loved them. Snowdrop leans more to melo and action, the plot doesn't revolve around romance much, it is there but subtle. It mostly circulates in politics. I am a sucker for angst, melo and tragedy so I loved it. Furthermore, one of my fave drama is Youth of May which was released in same year, so the vibe I got kinda reminded me of it. Jung Haein's character there is one of my fave roles of his. He portrayed a spectacular acting performance and his micro expressions were insanely crazier there. As for Alchemy of Souls, I agree with everyone had said and I am also in favor of season 1.

p.s I forgot to mention, snowdrop kind of has an enemies to lovers trope.
