Title Love Next Door Spoiler
I knew this episode would be as heartbreaking as the previous episode, I anticipated it given the trailer and all. Yet, I still bawled my eyes out again. As I am writing this I am listening to 'Leave it all behind' by Wonstein on loop just because I am still in a very emotional state. Damn this episode is another roller coaster ride but the ending is chefs kiss for me.

Now that we have tackled the story behind Seunghyo's family. We are able yet again to see a new light into his character and get a deeper understanding as to 'why he is the way he is' as a character. For anyone else who still can't get themselves to be placed in his shoes or see everything in his perspective, whether you relate to him or not, I can't imagine how 'perfect' you are or 'overly high' your 'standards' must be to not be able to empathize with his humane character and all because he is written in a way that is beyond the 'fictional flawless' ML characters that had been nothing but a green forest, so that even if such characters make 'mistakes' or acts 'immature' themselves, they are still redeemable and still considered as a 'green forest', whereas, when given a realistic ML character who acts and reacts humanely, showing immature sides and a mistake of ignoring a friend in need whilst trying to distance himself from her because he sees her happy, trying to move on through the heartbreak, and completely having no idea about what is happening to his friend is already considered something unredeemable. Also, for sakes, all actors in kdramaland who plays ML roles are handsome, like be for real.

Seunghyo was someone who clearly lacked 'familial love'. He grew up in a family that wasn't completely affectionate. As a young child, he was already damaged by the words which his mother has spilled out in the heat of the moment. Imagine, a young child hearing such words from a mother, it must have been traumatizing. He also grew up with his parents constantly away from home, which clearly explains why he has abandonment issues and up to this point, his immature side also stems from this. When it comes to 'maturity', 'age' is completely irrelevant. There is no such written rule in life where it says, just because you are an adult, then you are automatically matured. It doesn't work that way. 'Maturity' comes from the things that shapes you in life, which you carry all throughout, such as your personal experiences and life lessons. All his life, Seunghyo has been searching for that affectionate love from both his parents, his exact words break my heart so much, "we look like we have everything, but we have nothing". The line alone is so heart wrenching and opens you to a new perspective, life is not just black and white. Some people aren't simply a green flag or red flag. What we see are mere surfaces, and could only be known if we allow ourselves to dive deep into their shoes. The way the writer wrote Seunghyo's family story with such depth, it's honestly so moving. I also liked how they showed us the struggles of most married women who still wants to pursue their career and be more than just a 'wife' or 'mother' to their family. In asian culture – or in some asian culture, it's been a norm, up until now at some point, that married women should not work but be a dutiful wife and mother to their family alone.

I'm glad his family has finally started patching things up and it wasn't dragged along until next episode. Apart from Seunghyo's family story, I seriously find Moeum and Danho's scenes hilarious, the mudflat man dream got me ijiboling. Today's episode was another great episode, I must say. The whole Seunghyo voice record thing was such a genius idea, the fact his dialogue was also in french when he said those words, I was internally screaming. Then, Seukryo's confession to him was seriously done perfectly too, it wasn't super cringey, instead it was such a natural and so 'them' coded kinda thing. Finally, the catalysts Moeum mentioned had happened. We finally got the first kiss! It's the most beautiful 'first kiss', exceeded my expectations because I thought we'd only get a hug and their first kiss might happen in their home or something. I replayed that scene lots of times. Haein is an absolute good kisser, so it Somin too!!

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
The link isn't working for me😭
This is the little spoilers shared on the article:

"On the previous episode of “Love Next Door,” Bae Seok Ryu’s long-kept secret finally came to light. Choi Seung Hyo regretted pushing Bae Seok Ryu away and apologized for ghosting her, while Bae Seok Ryu broke down crying and finally let out the feelings she had been bottling up for years.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, there appears to be a change in the longtime friends’ relationship. Although the duo initially gives off a strictly platonic vibe as they hang out on the roof of Bae Seok Ryu’s house, things take an unexpected turn once Choi Seung Hyo falls asleep.

While watching the sleeping Choi Seung Hyo from a close distance, Bae Seok Ryu reaches out as if to touch his face. With the “expiration date” of his confession rapidly approaching, it appears as though Bae Seok Ryu finds herself increasingly drawn to him.

Later, Choi Seung Hyo greets Bae Seok Ryu with a radiant smile amidst a field of sunflowers, piquing curiosity as to why he might be beaming from ear to ear.

The “Love Next Door” production team remarked, “Bae Seok Ryu is gradually beginning to face her own feelings for Choi Seung Hyo. Please stay tuned for Bae Seok Ryu’s answer [to his confession], which is the final step in going from friendship to love and from friends to lovers.”

They went on to tease, “Starting from Episode 11, there will be romance that makes viewers’ hearts flutter even more than before.”

What are we gonna do when this ends? Every year there comes one drama I get obsessed with. Last year it was my…
I honestly don't know either. I was in k-drama slump since last year, then this year came I thought it was either QOT or LR that would get me this obsessed but turns out it's LND. I will probably end up in cdrama world again...because personally for me, I don't think there's any upcoming kdrama that would impact me like LND did.

Just when I was going to start this drama so many of my friends said that it's not worth my time as it is just…
You should go and give it a try, it's personally about preferences and interest for me. If you're someone like me who enjoys their romcom with angst, melo, slice of life and healing then you might like this one because the storyline is an emotional roller coaster ride, it will leave you feeling all emotions of the characters with how realistically humane they are written and the storyline here tackles some real life struggles with some of them overlooked mostly in reality. Like, the storyline here has its own depth, it doesn't solely focus on the romantic progress between the leads but focuses on 'every' characters life journey (most specially the leads), so the romance is 'slow burn'. Another thing is, this drama will allow you to open your perspective with how humanely the characters react and tackle life problems. You will be putting yourself in their shoes. Which I love about this drama as all characters aren't one dimensional but have lots of complex layers beneath them. Oh! and memorable dialogues too! there's quite a lot of them. So, this is my two cents! sorry it got long but yeah I really suggest you watch it, because you will never know the answer to your question if it is worth your time or not unless you give it a shot.

So excited and happy that we are finally getting new episodes today and tomorrow, at the same time sadness is creeping in because of the thought that we will have two weeks and four episodes remaining to LND's ending *insert crying river of tears*

What if Seok Ryu also liked him in High school? It's not like Seung Hyo said he liked her back in High school…
That's actually the way I am seeing it. Their timing is always wrong. Literally, right person at the wrong time. Also, writer kinda hinted it for me with the flashbacks like her missing exam and the process of hardship she went through just to get him that towel. Then we got this recent clip with the cake, her jealous face haha
