Manifesting hard for their intimate scenes haha give us bed scene with intense kisses juseyo
I'm as desperate as you for it 😭😭😭 but yeah I feel it would be impossible to happen, we might end up only getting passionate kisses

The reason why I m loving this cause it's slow burn, when they will confess their love or start dating😭 it…
Right! this is the reason why I love slow burn romance. The 'slow phase' for their romantic development allows us to savor every precious moment between them and makes us easily connect with their raw emotions. It makes it even more exciting when we are left not knowing when the confession or dating would start. Then, when they do get together, it makes me appreciate the couple more. I also feel a shift in her emotions, she surely has feelings for him but is too contained in their past and present relationship of being just merely 'childhood friends' , so I doubt she realizes it herself, but maybe she will start to realize her in the coming next episodes.

I'm dying of laughter over here! Someone on X mentioned that some spicy scenes are on the way since Netflix changed…

I'm really glad they didn’t waste Haein and Somin’s potential on pointless stuff because both actors have…
I agree with you. Both of them are very talented actors and I am honestly so glad too that they decided not to simply waste their potential solely on romance alone, like they let them bring life to characters who are 'relatable' to the audience. I also love how despite there might be some common romantic trope scenes here, the cringe factor is barely evident, all thanks to their insane chemistry, all I had is butterflies. Such romcom dramas like this are rare now a days, honestly.

I can't be the only person waiting for Dong Jin & Na Yun to meet again. I'm rooting for our 3rd couple!
you're not alone! haha I am hoping to see them more in future episodes even for a short minute haha

It's been days but I still can't get the last scene of ep 6 out of my damn head. There is just too much intensity with how they simply stared at each other's eyes, surrounded by the dead silence. Seok Ryu searching for answers in his eyes and Seung Hyo looking right back at hers with his mellow eyes. I literally live for moments like this.

how does this over the top, generic as f*** drama has a 8.8 rating? Are there paid bots here too? FL is annoying…
You can drop this if you don't like it, no need to question why people like this. The answer for that is very simple, this is their cup of tea and they can relate to the characters in some way. You clearly won't get it, if you aren't into this lol

Okay so I never put this on my PTW, but I see it has a 8.8 rating. Is that an accurate rating so far, or is it…
I don't think the rating is overblown. A lot of viewers truly liked this, but if you want to rely solely on ratings, you can wait until this drama finishes and decide based on its final ratings by then. Although, it all boils down to your 'own taste' and not other peoples opinion. You can try watching few more episodes to see if this is truly your 'cup of tea' as this is not built for everyone. It's more for the people who enjoy slow burn romance, childhood tropes, and slice of life. Its vibe is similar to home-cha. I'm also someone who loved 'lovely runner' btw but the pacing of romance between both dramas are different.

I honestly have a love-hate relationship with this drama. I hate how cringe some scenes are but at the same time love them and even find them so hilarious. It doesn't make sense. I guess this is its charm after all. Enjoyed this so far and loving their moments!

This feels like a straight up romcom but I am still bitter over 2521 so dramas can surprise us
lucky the writer and director for this is not the same one, but rather from home-cha, so I highly doubt they would give us a disappointing ending with such type of drama...2521 is still my biggest disappointment! literally dropped that due to the ending ruining everything for me haha

Their stylist definitely deserves a raise! I find the styling for Seok Ryu's character really well suiting for…
right!! I envy her hair too haha she looked so natural during the scenes where her hair was down...I can't wait for the scene where both of them rode a bike together, they both looked so good in that scene!

Their stylist definitely deserves a raise! I find the styling for Seok Ryu's character really well suiting for Jung Somin. I know how beautiful she is but among all her styles in past dramas i've watched of hers, I must say this one's my fave. The outfits and hair style truly highlighted more of her beauty. I agree!! he looked so stunning!!

Despite coming across lots of theories about LND having a 'sad ending'. I am one of those who firmly believes that this would have a 'happy ending'. I do think there would be a tearful twist towards the second half of the drama but the usual joy will be delivered right after. This drama to me screams more about comfort, healing and life lessons apart from the romance.
On Love Next Door Sep 2, 2024
LND team had their wrap up party! They finished filming the rest of the episodes already. I hope they get to gather together again after this drama airs as it breaks new records in ratings!

I see many people are here to judge the story line with a magnifying glass ! It's ok that's there choice I respect…
Their love story is definitely made for the deep feelers and those into slow burn romance trope and I honestly am all down for it. I actually appreciate the phase of their romance, how they aren't together at the get-go but are left to dive into their emotions and feelings for each other deeper before progressing their romance. Which makes it more meaningful and realistic for me. I am all here for such small small feelings and details too! I also agree, being 30 doesn't really equate to being 'mature'. It all solely depends on how you grew up and circumstances in life, like I find it so irrelevant how 'age' defines maturity for certain people when in reality it doesn't at all. Like, there could be people out there much younger but are more mature compared to those who are already in their 30s or 40s, and vice versa. Both are two separate things. I think some negative comments come from those who fail to connect with the characters as they're either not used to such type of dramas. Simply, with how the storyline was built, I knew this wasn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. I do love this, it's been a long time since we got such a kind of comforting, heart-warming and refreshing k-drama like this.

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
I know people are bewildered/annoyed with Seung-hyo avoidance of Seok-ryu but to me it feels realistic. None of…
I definitely agree with you. In real life, when experiencing such situations, not everyone truly has that courage where they could easily bear all their heart out in the open. Even more so if they spent half their lives together. That's why in reality unrequited love truly exist. In real life people experience having crushes but not being able to confess to them due to fear of rejection and other reasons, thus, leads to admiration from a far. Even full grown adults may it be 20s, 30s or etc. still fail to make the right decisions in real life and I guess that is just clearly how life is. We all are different. We all make different choices due to different circumstances. Our choices will certainly never be the same from what has been expected by most. So, for me, this is what makes his character seem even more realistic rather than fictional. Also, I do think he is a 'green flag'. I would find it way too over the top if he got it all going for him so smoothly and perfectly. The writer definitely did want its viewers to get that realistic feel which is why they portrayed his character in such a way, otherwise, it would have been just another fictional ml character out of reach but for Seung Hyo atleast, this type of men do exist in real life. I had the exact same thought during that last scene. It's killing me how they left us hanging. The angst will be left buried in us until next weekend comes *cries*. I'm really loving the phase of their romance progress. slow-burn. Those who aren't into such tropes would definitely not like this one. I guess this is also one reason why some viewers are disappointed with Seung Hyo's character avoiding his feelings rather than confessing as the phasing for the romance here is not the typical one.

After k-drama drought, this I must say is my new comfort drama. I'm a sucker for slow-burn romance tropes and slice of life dramas. It's been quite a while since I had last watched a comforting and refreshing drama like this. The last one would be home-cha. I love how there are plenty of layers to each characters and we get to see them in a different light. Like for the Bae family, I expected Seok Ryu's mother to be the typical unlikable mother in dramas but as I watched further episodes, I realized she wasn't that 'bad' and actually is bearable. So far, my fave characters apart from the main leads is Moeum. She is comedic on her own. She was so right about Seung Hyo. Now, I think next week's episodes would be more enjoyable as seen from preview, we are getting close to Seung Hyo finally facing his feelings. Although, during these recent episodes, he seemed to be really eager to put aside what his heart truly feels. One thing is for certain, his mind might be saying 'NO' , but his heart is screaming something different. He is seriously foolish in love. The things he did for her with or without her knowledge and how he worries extremely about her, as they say, actions truly speak louder than words. Sighs. I can't believe they left us at a cliffhanger. I need the weekdays to end quickly so we can get the new episodes already.

I am excited to see more of seok ryu's pov about seung hyo. What kind of person he is to her after they grew up…
same! Although, I think the writer did give us some subtle hints. I think she did have feelings for Seung Hyo at some point during their high school days as she gave up on her exam for him. Now, in the latest ep with his ex around, there was a specific scene where her emotions clearly depicted that of a 'jealous' person. I think she has feelings for him but is unaware of it herself.
