Here is my lengthy explanation about the time thing at the end based on my own understanding and from what I have read from cfans posts.

Hua Ruyue choosing to change things in the past was her finally being able to make peace with everything that happened to her and it was also her way of letting go of the hatred she had long carried. She created a parallel universe where the outcome is what she hoped for and where the version of herself has lesser regrets, she did the same for others too. She helped lessen their regrets.

The time artifact which Xiao Jingshan gave to her works in the logic of cause and effect. Xi E who is the goddess of time only makes her appearance whenever time is being altered, this makes her be able to appear and interfere at some point without totally changing the flow of time. Xi E according to cnetz shares the same universe as the primordial god who created Bai Jiusi and Hua Ruyue hence it explains why she is the goddess of time and is not seen on or known in any of the realms because she is far higher than them, they called her as mother god. So, every time Hua Ruyue used the time artifact to change the past (cause) this results to the acceleration of Bai Jiusi's resurrection (effect), hence in the end they were able to reunite. Xi E created the causality for HRY and helped her reunite with BJS and considering they are both Yin and Yang, they are interdependent and cannot exist without the other. As for why Xi E took energy from HRY, this is because Yin and Yang are also transformative, they can transform into each other. There was a piece of BJS in HRY.

I was ugly crying during those scenes the acting performance of both Joseph and Bai Lu were really so gutwrenching 😭

I have just recently started watching this and so far I am finding it interesting and enjoyable to watch. I already felt the tension between Liu Xue Yi and Meng Zi Yi from the get go. I think this will be the first Liu Xue Yi drama of the year which I won't end up dropping, hopefully the story remains good.

she is such a great actress and whenever I see her play a mother role in a drama I easily light up, Kim Mikyung is my fave kdrama mother 🩵

It's a shame but her acting delivered so it was bearable. It's great that you gave this drama another chance and i'm really happy that my review was able to shift your perspective in some way. That's really what I hoped to do when writing this review, I wanted to convey how I understood and connected with the drama as clearly as possible. Thank you so much! I actually agree with your take too, it wasn't as impactful as how others would usually be. The slow start made sense in hindsight but definitely tested patience a bit at first. I think it was rather intentional to keep us all surprised, I still remember how everyone reacted after the revelation. And yes, HRY’s growth was one of the most beautiful parts of the show. Watching her find clarity and choose peace hit so hard. I'm happy to know you thought the same. I would’ve loved that flashback from BJS’s POV too! It would've further enriched their connection, that's true given his nature, I think if they were to add such scenes it would've just showed his lingering gaze instead. You're not alone! Only for love is being rebroadcast on Hunan TV and the rating broke 0.61% making it the highest rated airing drama on its current timeslot 10pm. Looks like this is a sign for me to rewatch this again 🤭

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who felt this way. They had put too much twist on the actual truth about what happened to her. Exactly. This one definitely suited slice of life and family genre more since that is what the whole story was about.

I'm about to finish it, i'm surprised with only 4 eps remaining the story still mainly revolved around Qiao Beiyu and Qiao family, the romance feels just like a side plot and Ming Sheng's arc in the story doesn't have much either.

I knew Zhou Yiran was already visually good looking but seeing him wearing a hanfu is just so different, he fits it more. Looking forward to this drama, the trailer is so promising.

k-dramas airing schedule are different from c-dramas, k-dramas usually air two episodes per day in a week while c-dramas airs episodes everyday. It's nothing new but has long been how k-drama schedules have been created.

I just recently started watching this drama and it has been so long since I have stopped watching k-dramas, this by far made me binge watch all 4 aired episodes and I am loving it so far. I think the concept of the story is unique, I like how for a change the FL is the one doing all the heroic acts which we usually see ML always do. Other than the sweet and heart fluttering scenes, what made this engaging for me is the mystery wrapped around it. I like the FL's secret identity as a shaman and her yet to be revealed past. While, ML also has a tragic past. I don't find the 2nd ML annoying yet, I feel he will be a really good friend of the two because of his personality which I hope they don't drag the love triangle and make him annoying.
