I agree. I don't usually watch this genre but I picked it up for BJT and surprisingly the plot is intriguing it kept me hooked from ep 1 onwards.

I can't hardly wait for the next episodes, the story got even more interesting and honestly I love how it constantly delivers and keeps me on edge, I could never predict what will happen next because they keep surprising with new twists and turns which is why I find this drama so good.

I have only watched up to 21 eps, what I can say so far is that the first half of the drama is good and it got me interested enough to want to watch the next episodes. The main leads are smart and both are quite cunning. There's evident chemistry between the leads. As for the second half, I have yet to find out how bad things turned out with the plot. Also, this is the only drama of Liu Xue Yi which I have managed to watch half-way through, I usually end up dropping his dramas earlier on.

I could usually bear amnesia tropes however the type of amnesia trope used here is one which I specifically do not like at all. How long will Jiang Taohua be manipulated by the 3rd prince? when will she regain her memory? I am currently watching ep 21 but I put it on-hold for a while because I want to know how long this trope will last.

Despite how I had finished this several months ago, his death scene still lingered the most to me. You aren't alone, I ugly cried myself during that scene. Initially he wasn't even my favorite character but that scene execution especially that back hug broke my heart.

I share the same sentiments with you because they are also my dream pairing ever since that ep on KR. I've watched tons of novel adapted dramas and changing certain things from the novel is inevitable. So, I am not surprised if there will be changes, but what I am also hoping for is that those changes they made still do justice to the story.
