I agree with what you said, to add to that, in Feud there's been a much more heavy focus on Dao which is usually the foundational element of a xianxia genre, they went more in-depth with such hence for international fans it could be quite hard to grasp. Chinese watchers on the other hand ended up loving this drama a lot more, because of this and how reflective it is of their culture and traditions. I've been reading lots of analysis and posts from domestic watchers and was able to understand a few things here thanks to their post.

This is actually not unusual in this site. If there are no other users downrating the drama in its initial episodes then you'd likely get this high rating but overtime the ratings will gradually fall as MDL also has a system that balances the ratings with the number of watchers. 9.2 rating only came from 7 users so it's too early to tell. I enjoyed watching the 1st episode and I am hoping the plot doesn't disappoint all throughout.

The cinematography somewhat reminds me of ARRTI, Always home and Go Ahead. It's giving nostalgic mood.

Great analysis and I agree with you. This is also one of the reasons why I loved the mortal realm. Others might think it was just the usual mortal realm tribulation that the characters need to go through but you pointed out the exact depth of those scenes. Meng Chi's character also symbolizes something in this story.
