This show is so weird. I just watched episode 5. What even was that? Every time I think I might start getting into it, there's a bunch of long, boring scenes. I have some questions. I decided last week, after seeing the cuts all over Praew's arm, that she was hurting herself and maybe that's why Nine didn't want to leave her. That might make sense. But nothing's been mentioned about that, and here we still are with him not breaking up with her. Honestly, he acts like he wants to have Daonuea in the bag before he does. Why won't he just break up with her aready? Then we have Candy, who both tells Nine that he's in a relationship with someone he doesn't love and that's not a good thing, and that he should reconcile with Praew. Which is it, Candy? Whose side is she on?? Daonuea runs hot and cold with Nine and acts like a petulant child. Does he want Nine or not? Is he even sleeping with his boyfriend? Tee noticed those Post-It notes on Daonuea's nightstand, and I'm assuming they were various attempts by Daonuea to write a note for the cookies...but nothing else was said about them. And even if Tee looks at them, so what? What kind of incriminating version of "here's some cookies" could Daonuea possibly write? Boat is annoying. What purpose does he really serve? And why does he have to announce he has to go to the bathroom while holding his thing? And WHAT was that sexual version of the Heimlich maneuver that Nine did on Daonuea in the restaurant? It wasn't even necessary because D spoke. (Someone who is actually choking can't speak.) The lonnnnngg, boring scene where Daonuae watched Nine work was only slightly made up for by the sweetness with Daonuea falling asleep on Nine's shoulder. It seems like the director wants to waste time. Like, oh, this is a 45 min show but I only have 10 minutes of material. I'll just have them sit and stare at each other or repeat things they've said before. What's the point of Ice? (Edit: Someone said the trailer shows Tee and Ice kissing. So, that's the point of Ice. More cheating.) And this show has been talked about like it's going to be so racy, but it really isn't. Lastly, Oooo, Tee shows up at Dreamland. Everyone acted like Nine and Daonuea were caught doing something interesting, which they definitely weren't. "Daouea, were you about to get on a rollercoaster with Nine? At and AMUSEMENT PARK?" Nevermind that they've made out a couple of times in the alley and screwed on Boat's desk. Does anyone understand this show???! (Who am I kidding? I'm probably the only one left watching it.) Oh--and what was the deal with the photo Praew took out of Nine's bag? Was it a picture of the hotel he stayed at? What does that tell her? If it had been a picture of Daonuae, that would have been interesting. And why can't Praew tell anyone she and Nine are dating?
The amount of time passing between Mark and Vee as Mark ends things with his gf confuses me. At some point, someone says something about a year. (I think to Mark--you've liked him for a year.) This is my second time watching this. I wanted to refresh my memory before watching Love Mechanics.
Talking about the reaction videos, I would have liked to have seen Mile and Apo's reaction to the scene where Build/Pete is eating the soup. I think that is such a powerful, wordless scene. Also--and this isn't something I would normally mention, but the actors spoke of it--the point of "completion" for Kinn and Porsche in the pool. The actors said something about them doing it at the same time, and that's one of the things they talked out beforehand (if I understood correctly.) But one thing I had thought about when I watched the scene was that, while K really looked like he was doing what he was doing, P never really did. Same expression the entire scene pretty much. Couldn't tell when he finished.
It's getting better with more BounPrem interaction, but the the storyline is too slow. I'm left wondering what Sun's deal is with collecting money. Why does he have so much trouble doing it? Why doesn't his friend give him some pointers rather than just doing it for him? I feel like I've missed something. BP have great chemistry, but I don't know if that can hold up this show. I'm interested in Nemo and Talay, but it looks like they are the third couple and, as such, won't get much screen time.
I thought there was chemistry until they ruined it with that whipping scene.
I don't totally agree, but I do agree with the Chinese bromance part. It's not that there need to be sexual scenes in everything for it to be good, it's just that if they're selling it that way--And Unforgotten Night is--then they need to at least look like they're willing to kiss. The rest can be off screen.
This drama is growing on me! Yes, even Kamol. It's not really 'good', but it's entertaining! In a way cheap telenovelas…
I totally agree. Out of everything, that bugs me the most, particularly since they sell it as a sexy story. (Like with that photo of Komal and Kim in bed and the handcuffs hanging off Kim's wrist.) Yeah, they use handcuffs and are in love but don't KISS properly.
The novel has a happy ending. Cherry wasn't in the novel, she's probably a newly added character for some 'love…
There was a gf in the novel. She came much later. Remember, she came to Kamol's house and tried to break up him and Kim. I think THAT's when Kim went to Day's, not early on like is happening in the next episode.
lol
