Just watched 20 eps so far and I like how the two leads slowly fall in love with each other making it more ‘realistic’. The female lead isn't going overboard with liking her crush (except for the fact that she keeps the male lead’s stuff in her drawer). For instance it’s nice to see that she chose her university based on her interests rather than following her crush. Moreover it was wise of her to transfer to another department to chase her dreams instead of staying in a department to be close to her crush.
I also liked how she changes her appearance gradually rather than having a make-over in one day.
I'm not really a fan of the idea of lying like this to the guy she's supposed to like and after 2 episodes I already…
Yes I didn't like the ML too at first, because he was so rude. His character kinda gets better. This drama was okay, I would rate it a 7.5. I would recommend it if you have a lot of time/patience. In case you want to know some spoilers you can check out my other comment ;p
I liked the fact that this drama started off where the main leads already knew each other for 2 years. This is in contrast to other dramas that usually start off with the main leads not knowing each other and falling in love very quickly. In this drama the main leads already worked with each other for 2 years and had a good relationship prior to dating, which makes them falling in love more ‘realistic’.
I also liked how Xing Yun trusted Xia Ke at all times and she luckily wasn’t a typical dumb female lead with unnecessary crying scenes. In addition, I liked the role of Yao Qing; instead of being a love rival she became a matchmaker and brought Xing Yun & Xia Ke back together. What I didn’t like about this drama is the first few eps with Xing Yun and Chu Nan's relationship and Shen Qing’s story.

Tbh the acting was sometimes a bit lacking. I think this movie would have had a bigger impact on me if the acting was better. Overall the movie was okay, I rated it a 7.5/10.

The drama is set in the year 2005 - 2007/2008 & 2017 and is mainly about the friendship between Yong Xin, Ya Xiu, Da Wei and Yu Xuan (+ Da Weng & Yong Yi).
Yong Xin (female lead) is a hardworking girl and is ranked one of the top in her class. One day she has to personally give an exam paper back to her classmate called Du Ya Xiu (male lead). Du Ya Xiu is known as a “bad student”, he skips class often and when he is in class, he always sleeps. That’s why not many students know his face. When Yongxin gives the exam paper back to Du Ya Xiu, she accidentally leaves her notebook on the ground and Du Ya Xiu picks it up. It turns out that Yongxin’s notebook contains drawings & some “bad” remarks about all her classmates. Du Ya Xiu threatens to release the contents of the notebook if she doesn’t do what he says. As a result, Yong Xin becomes his errand-boy, buying him bread & drinks. They become good friends and form a group together with Yu Xuan (the goddess of the school) & Da Wei (second male lead with whom Yongxin grew up together with).
It turns out Du Ya Xiu ‘fell in love with Yong Xin on the first sight’ when he saw her feeding a stray dog that he usually fed too. When she handed him the exam paper, he realized that this girl was his classmate and decided to go back to school to get to know her more. He uses the notebook to get close to her and starts to take school seriously because he found out Yong Xin likes smart guys. Du Ya Xiu is in fact very intelligent, he was just too lazy to write the answers on his exams. He becomes the number 1 in their class and is known as the Genius of their high school (and later at their university). He does many sweet things for Yongxin and everyone knows he likes Yongxin. Yong Xin likes Du Ya Xiu too but it takes a very long time for her to finally confess it. She also feels that she is not worthy enough to be his girlfriend, since she is so “plain/ordinary” while Da Yu Xiu is a handsome genius. It eventually takes 10 years for them to finally become girlfriend-boyfriend.

- In the beginning Yu Xuan was a mean girl and bullied Yong Xin but they became best friends and she eventually marries Yong Yi, which is Yong Xin’s little brother.
- Yongxin grew up together with Da Wei (second male lead) & Da Wei’s brother called Da Weng ("third male lead"). Both Da Wei and Da Weng have a crush on Yong Xin. At first Yong Xin had a crush on Da Weng but when he confessed to her, she realized that she admires him rather than likes him. When Da Wei confessed to her, she rejects him saying that she only sees them as good friends. One day Da Weng suddenly dies in a diving accident. After Da Weng’s death, Da Wei moves abroad without properly saying goodbye and doesn’t contact Yong Xin, Yu Xuan and Ya Xiu for 10 years. The group of friends finally meet again at Yu Xuan & Yong Yi’s wedding.

- When Du Ya Xiu got a fever, Yongxin took care of him and kissed him. This indicated that she liked him back and she knew it herself too. Du Ya Xiu has already told her twice that he likes her, and it seemed his patience ran out when he directly asked her “What am I to you?”. So it doesn’t make sense that they would remain in an ambiguous relationship/some relationship after 10 years…
- When Da Wei’s brother Da Weng died, it felt liked everyone got over his death pretty quickly? It felt so unnatural.. Also the fact that Da Wen just left without properly saying goodbye and not contacting them for 10 years was weird and quite mean..
The acting wasn’t good, female lead was sometimes very annoying, some (transition in) scenes were weird and the ending didn’t make sense (see comment below).. I still rated the drama a 7/10 mainly because the male lead (Du Ya Xiu) was just too sweet! Overall it’s an okay drama, but it’s definitely not a must watch.

Yww! Yes so sad :(( It was expected that there would be sacrifices with so many dangerous missions.. But at least these sacrifices were made at the end of the drama!
This drama remained interesting with a lot of action even in the last few eps. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this drama. It’s definitely worth watching! ❤️ I’m gonna miss it so much T_T
- I shed a tear when Huang Song died T_T He was so precious and even smiled when he passed away. He was such a good friend to Xie Liangchen, he always took care of her without knowing she was a woman. Its pitiful that he didn’t know the truth about Xie Xiang, but on the other hand he would be so heartbroken if he knew..
- Li Wenzhong death was a bit sudden but so sad. At first I really didn’t like him, but seeing how he became a better person and improved his relationship with others, I began liking his character. It was heart breaking how he ripped the page of An Wen’s/the flower girl’s notebook to erase him from her memory T_T
- I also felt bad for Sergeant Guo’s death :( How Xiaoyu took revenge for him was really badass tho!
- I'm happy for Shen Ting Bai that he got together with Qu Man Ting at the end. You could clearly see he truly loved her!
