Pardon me but I'm still on ep. 11, and all I gotta say is we gotta protect Hwal's precious smiles istg T_T (AND I LIVE FOR HWAL AND DO HYUN INTERACTION YA'LL!)
Kinda glad kinda not about this drama not being that famous (you know what I mean???). But oomg loved loved loved the stellar performance of the cast this week TT_TT
I honestly did not expect Woo Shik to ever get another drama lead role, at least not as a romantic lead. He's…
I agree with the "innocent and cherubic". He looks so cute and adorable, but that in itself makes it amusing as we are given a not-so-typical male lead.
Don't get me wrong, I loved this. But tbh, my tendency these days have been to be overly concerned with the plot,…
(reworded-ish + added my own thoughts, credits to @Nauriya)
Hye Ja was suffering from Alzheimer's and due to her extremely painful past and hardships she imagined or built a life far happier than her reality.
But as it turned out, it was a world only of her imagination (Ep. 1-10), where she thought of herself as the 25 yr. old Hye Ja, and believed her son and daughter in law as her parents.
A main reason to the whole Ep. 1-10 storyline which climaxes to Ep. 10, was Hye Ja's deep regret and desire to save Joon Ha (which she couldn't do so in her actual life; revealed on Ep. 11-12). But when she was left alone on the seaside, it was actually a moment of realization (as she finally came back to reality). It was excruciatingly painful, but it was also beautiful how her imagination brought her salvation, and relief to her final days.
In the end, she chose to cherish the happy moments, and her son told her that it was alright to so. And to end the series, we are brought to Hye Ja reuniting with Joon Ha.
We are given a hint that Hye Ja passes away, but her death did not mean "parting" alone but rather a "reuniting" as well (WHICH I FIND SO T_T).
Don't get me wrong, I loved this. But tbh, my tendency these days have been to be overly concerned with the plot, but like in the process of doing so in this drama, I got lost. HELL MY BRAIN BROUGHT ME TO DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS!
Well to sum things up, although I was near "getting" the story, at the end I was consumed more with frustration brought about by my confusions with this drama.
...AND THAT IS WHY for those confused (like I was), here's a comment (from this comment section as well) that I think pretty much explains the whole plot for that matter, which I'll mark as spoiler:
i just wanna cry T__Tin the manhwa, they showed ever since YS was a kid, she only had her grandma, there is no…
bish...this supports what Yeonsoo said to Woong about him being the only one she could throw away (because her halmoni already passed away and she's got no one) during their breakup scene T_T
The writer's brother mentioned that diabetes ran in their family....so if he had in fact developed antibodies and there's correlation between diabetes, authorities must have found the cure based on that????? (lol dunno tbh).
I mean...we kinda knew how this was gonna end up as the opposite of "Happiness" for whatever the title's worth, but FUCCCC MA BOI YI HYUN OMG YOU AND SAE BOM DESERVE EO SM T_T
....ok that's enough XD
2018 Joon Ha w/ daughter Hye Ja felt so real imma criii (had to pause and literally absorb this fact for some time).

I wonder if there's any meaning to that, asides from the ongoing observation of the "Happinəss" fading away.
(BUT HEIIIIL NOO MY YI HYUN-AH!!!! T_T)
