I have never actively followed Trainee A. I've heard of them and their sudden disbandment and what happened to Lee Leo.
While I get that his lyrics were perceived as problematic and he lost a huge following I must say:
He is the most talented participant on the show. He is an all-rounder.
Don't get me wrong, there are most definitely trainees that have better dance skills or vocals or visuals (lowkey what this show seems to take in account for more than it should), but I could not point to a trainee that can sing and dance at the same time as well as Lee Leo (thus far performance wise on the show).
To be honest, most trainees can dance, but even the ones who get praised — and don’t get “evil edited” by Mnet — often sound off-key when they sing.
I didn't quite like season 1 and dropped it. I watched season 2 and I loved it: Xiu's scenes and his moments with his troup are way more intresting than the political plots happening "back home". Waiting for a season 3
I didnt understand one thing....what happened to chen junyuan?? The guys that named chen duo.
it's left open. he was transported to another place. I am guessing they leave many things open bc if this season receives great ratings they are (hopefully) planning on more seasons, in which they are going to meet the so called "aliens". I am guessing/hoping for at least 2 more seasons bc: season 2 needs a third season bc of you-know-who, so I pray that they are going to make a season 4 or they involve the aliens help in season 3
to people who are deciding whether to watch or not:
watch at least 3 episodes I promise it's worth it!
I watched the first episode and was incredibly biased... thought the story line was bad and dylan's accent threw me off completely. I just didn't understand why it was given such a high rating/ thought it was just bc his fans rated it.
after watching 20 episodes this is def worth it! great story line... kind of gives me joy of life vibes. (joy of life is my fav drama)
I'm really enjoying the format thus far. The participants I really liked rap-wise:

kaogaii: bro is in his fourties and still acting like a child/immature "nasty kids": honestly the guy would've been better off if he was participating alone. the whole concept of a crew for a show with this kind of format is very selfish and the costumes are just too much.
PLEASE watch DASHING YOUTH BEFORE watching blood of youth. I watched it before and didn't know the dramas where connected... my jaw literally dropped when I made the connections lol. It will also be much more interesting if you watch dashing youth before imo
I really really liked the first 4 episodes. The rough sex/nudity scenes gave me game of thrones vibes. they weren't necessary but I guess it added to the dark vibes.
I have a question that will probably spark a lot of debate. And I would like the people that answer to be objective.…
IMO she loved both Jing and XL. I‘d like to make a comparison btw the Drama and real life.
Sometimes you can’t help yourself but to feel drawn to certain peopl . Those ppl make you feel excited and give u butterflies. Certain circumstances won’t allow you to pursue your feelings and you know that and keep distancing and persuade yourself that you dont like this person. The usually make u feel confused and u question your feelings bc of their contradictory behaviour. - XL
Where as there are other people who make u feel comfortable, are always there for u, care for u and openly show their feelings and communicate well. - Jing
In the long run maturing is putting comfort over excitement that comes with confusion. I think she didnt let herself fall in love with XL bc she knew there wouldnt be a happy ending . Anyways I Liked XL better 😭
