Maybe this will explain the ending a little deeper. I think the writer of this drama used this story and couldn't really change the outcome of their ending. :)
Artist Marina Abramovic was immersed in a performance art piece where she sits with a stranger in silence for one minute while directly looking at one another Thirty years ago Marina was involved in an intense love affair with an artist named Ulay. They lived in a van together doing performances. When they decided to separate, they walked the Great Wall of China, meeting in the middle. They embraced one last time, then turned around and never saw each other again. Until the day Marina performed her latest piece, sitting opposite a stranger for a minute. Ulay showed up as a stranger. Marina had no idea he was there and it wasn’t until she lifted her head to face, whom she thought would be just a random person, that she realized it was Ulay. The powerful emotion that comes over her is incredible. Ulay leaves after the minute is up and she is barely able to carry on the performance. Incredibly moving.
I was really wary of the ending because of all the negative comments and screenwriter's disapproval, but I actually…
For me personally it was the way they wiped out and re-wrote Ha Ram's total story. Yes, I can understand changing it to take into account Joon's non existence. But I can't understand wiping out that she was born a half reaper who could see shadows and got picked on by the other kids for it. She wasn't a "normal child" living a perfect happy life before Joon came into it so how could she be afterwards.
Beautifully filmed, intelligent drama that I fell in love with. Some genuine laugh out loud moments and some heartbreaking moments too. I rated this a 9 /10
I think Kim Mi Kyung is an amazing actress. I wish she would be offered a strong challenging lead role because I think she could easily succeed and go on to bigger things.
Please, please let them make a follow up season or at least a one-off special. I need to see them get their HEA after all the heartache they suffered. I was broken hearted, but at the same time oh so happy too with the open ending. It leaves room for a season 2 (crosses all fingers and toes).
Wow, Just discovered Eric. Saw him first in Another Miss Oh then immediately marathoned Que Sera, Sera straight after. Not only is he gorgeous but his acting is divine. Would love to see him cast in more lead roles!
Anyone know who the silver fox is that works for Soo Hyun's step-father President Song Choong Hee? Can't find the actor's name anywhere and I'd love to see what else he's been in. He's so handsome :)
I really enjoyed this film but I do wish it had been a bit longer with a bit more development to the romance.
It's a bittersweet May to December story of an older woman with cancer being shaken by a much younger man's desire. Yoon Jung Hyuk has a love at first sight experience where age and boundaries were secondary to his feelings; Lee Shin Ae has a much needed affirmation that she is still a desirable woman with needs and feelings and not just another dying cancer patient.
While I did feel kind of sorry for her husband, he didn't listen to her at all or show her any passion as a woman. If he had it would never have happened.
Idc how old you are, who could have refused that smoking hot kiss in the stairwell. I know I couldn't have. Lee Jong Suk never lets us down in the kiss scenes I bet he's a wonderful kisser!
