I'm really hoping this one isn't going to be boring. Although it's so nice to see Kim J Woong as a vampire again after "The Sweet Blood", I just hope that this doesn't become extremely dry or boring. This would have been interesting if it was a side story to Sweet blood since the story is similar but overall I'm going in with low expectations since a lot of Korean BL in the second half of 2021 were disappointing or started off interesting then fizzled out. It's just sad to see that more of these Korean BL don't have enough production value since either the sound quality and sets are bland not to mention sometimes the actors are still new or fresh to the acting scene. The trailer, although interesting, has me a bit worried due to the sound quality (we could hear the cicadas in the back and other background noise). I might be nit picking but Light On Me being the exception that it was due to the higher production value and adorable acting, raises the bar for me. It just shows that all Korean BL really need is a bit more airing time and some more loving and they could really shine. Fingers crossed that the first episode Airing today/tomorrow will be interesting!

A nice slow start to the show! I don't see what the problem is that some people have? I personally liked it. It was easy going and, although it was a slow start, it was a nice start; nothing too intense and something a bit fresh compared to the usual Thai BL. Theo and Akk kinda do look a like but the differences are very clear so I wasn't confused at all. It was cute and nice. I'm interested to see where the story will go. I really like Akk's character. He's loyal and there seems to some pinning coming from Akk which is adorable since he kept his promises and seemed to really miss Theo. I like the chemistry between the leads. Let's hope it doesn't fizzle and dry out!

Not as good as S1. Not as emotional, not enough character depth. Too many voice-overs. An unsatisfying conclusion…
COMPLETELY agree with this.

Title Color Rush Season 2 Spoiler
After watching season 2 I have a LONG list of things I want to rant about so please be patient with me.

Firstly did anyone else feel extremely disappointed, disconnected and uninterested as I was? This whole season felt so... off. It's so sad for me to say this but I felt so bored and honestly didn't care much for the characters at all this season. Everything felt choppy and the story was so far removed from the first season that I didn't feel invested at all with what was going on. Someone who didn't watch season 1 could watch this and would be fine since it feels like a completely different series. Besides a few new terminology and side characters, this felt like a COMPLETELY different series. The side characters like Min Jae and Joon Heung didn't even need to be here and I felt like the directors just threw them in there without caring about them at all. They hardly drove the plot and were only in a few scenes. Even his aunt had hardly a role in this season. Support characters are supposed to DRIVE the plot but they hardly contributed to that, for example in season 1 his aunt was there to solidify Yeon Woo's desire and conviction to be with Yoo Han. His Aunt was challenging him and provided a source of conflict which drove Yeon Woo to be with Yoo Han even more especially during his hospital stay and when his Aunt threatened him they'd move. In season 1 his friends were there as emotional support and were understanding of Yeon Woo and Yoo Han's pain and personal strife which made them more loveable and memorable. I feel like they focused WAY too much on the mystery aspect that they didn't bother with the characters internal desires or personal development. No character really GREW as people besides Yeon Woo who become more open with his emotions and leaned on his friends more for support. The storyline was at times boring then nosed dived to push the plot in the last 2 episodes so fast that I got whiplash.

Secondly, the action, music and acting was..... sorry to say, a bit cheesy. The music, although much appreciated, cut off without fading and distracted me and the sudden cut off of the music added to the disconnected feeling I was already having. The fighting was a bit cheesy with the sound affects and lacked.... umph that usually makes the action more impactful. The so called "romance" between Yeon Woo and Se Hyun was practically non-existent and I felt that it was more bromance than anything. The chemistry was hardly there and was completely one sided from Se Hyun not to mention I felt at times that it was being shoved into my face with the amount of flirting that Se Hyun did. To me, it felt like what Yeon woo really wanted from his relationship with Se Hyun was understanding, companionship, empathy and overall something to fill his loneliness that Yoo Han left. For Se Hyun, it was never really clear why he fell in love with Yeon Woo or what he wanted from his relationship with Yeon Woo. Having a flashback of Se Hyun being around the school, as he stated he wanted to meet with Yeon Woo first but he was always busy with Yoo Han, would have been fantastic to see. If we got to see some season 1 flashbacks with Se Hyun being in the background and what DROVE his motivation to seek out Yeon Woo would have been far more interesting and made me care more about him. Also, HE DIDN'T EVEN CRY ONCE when his sister died. I'm sorry but that just makes me like Se Hyun less. One could argue that we understand he's in pain and he doesn't need to be running around sobbing but frankly his lack of fluctuation of his emotions towards his sister pissed me off. He didn't show much reaction to his sister being bullied besides teaching her a few tricks to protect herself, he didn't show much remorse or even seemed devastated at his sister's funeral. If someone killed off my family I'd be either so pissed or so depressed I wouldn't know what to do. Sure he said he wanted to get back at the people who killed his sister, but it lacked impact. Perhaps seeing him cry or get extremely angry and have Yeon Woo comfort him would sell his conviction towards revenge to the audience better and even create a great opportunity to have Yeon Woo bond more with him and even perhaps give the audience more reason to see Se Hyun as a love interest for Yeon Woo.

Thirdly, the actions the character's took weren't nearly impactful or clearly explained at all. The writing in my personal opinion was very weak and choppy. The lack of context for the sudden emergence of this crazy company with their nerve medicine and Lapus weird stuff was confusing and to be honest, they tried to lay the background about it with his Mom but it still felt really rushed and thrown in. It felt like they didn't have a plan and went about things like a shot in the dark and they just brought more questions rather than answering anything. Only the mystery of his mom was somewhat solved and still nothing was REALLY explained. New characters were thrown in like Se Hyun's sister without much context for me to REALLY care about her and characters came and left without much impact to give the audience enough time to care for them. If I remember correctly, Yoo Han's mom is a lawyer, his brother is in the military and his dad is a powerful CEO or something. You're telling me with all that governmental power they couldn't even find a SINGLE trace of him after 6 months? Like I said, bad writing. Although the end bit was interesting to see him potentially get some kind of forced plastic surgery, Yoo Han's disappearance was poorly written.

Five, there's a BUNCH of things that I wanted to see in this season that wasn't apparent here that was ALREADY explained in season 1. For example, they stated in season 1 that MONO'S feel extremely possessive and crushed if their Probe was distant or separated from them. We clearly saw that in season 1 when Yoo Han was busy preparing to be an idol and was absent from school for a while and Yeon Woo was thinking about kidnapping him. He even had some "withdrawal" symptoms from being away from Yoo Han when he was being so exposed to the color rush (the scene where he was running away from school and the screen went black and he was panting having a breakdown before he considered kidnapping Yoo Han). I would have LOVED TO SEE a flashback of him having an emotional breakdown or something to solidify his depression or heart break from Yoo Han. In season 1 they made the separation between a probe and Mono a big deal but in here, Yeon Woo seemed pretty okay with it all and was able to move on with his life which seems extremely out of character. Sure it's been 6 months, but having that added flashback or emotional breakdown would have really impacted and touched the audience. Another thing I would have loved to see was more withdrawal symptoms from the lack of the color rush that Yoo Han exposed him too. Sure he had some after taking the medicine but I would have loved to see Yeon Woo physically struggle with headaches and constant pain for example. Seeing him struggle would make him more relatable and have the impact of Yoo Han's disappearance much more serious. Another thing would be to see his friends actually help out instead of NOT KNOWING that their friend is missing. Having them involved like they were in season 1 would make them have more importance and give them purpose. Having them highlight their pain of loosing a friend would be so intense and wonderful for the actors to make their characters shine. Another thing I would have appreciated to see is HIS MOM for gods sake. Sure they off threw in his mom's headband in the river hinting that she's dead, but perhaps seeing flashbacks of her or what she was doing at the meetings and her depression over loosing her Probe would have been fantastic to see and I was EXPECTING that rather than having the convoluted mess we got. It just felt like they were trying to do too much that the plot became way too convoluted and messy. I personally think the simplicity of season 1 was sweeter and more easy to follow rather than having a hyped up mystery action of this season.

Finally can someone please clarify for me about who those clown freaks were that attacked Yoo Han and Yeon Woo? I never understood what the hell happened. I know he was kidnapped in April and has been missing for 6 months but by whom? And sorry if this sounds silly but I still didn't know who the hell that lady was at the end who visited Yoo Han in the hospital and has him captive. This is one last thing that seems like it's gonna be a huge backlash for the writers since I think they might have shot themselves in the foot, but what will happen to the Mono and Probe bond between Yeon Woo and Yoo Han now that apparently, Yoo Han got plastic surgery? His face is what makes Yeon Woo able to see colors so if Yoo Han got surgery shouldn't he be incapable of seeing colors now even if they DO reunite? Seems like a plothole if you ask me :( Not sure how they're gonna work around that one.

I could go on about the issues with season 2 but I don't want to seem ungrateful or rude so I'll end my rant here. Although I appreciate how they tried to explain what happened and how they invested into a season 2, I'm not at all satisfied and sure this isn't bad or at all horrible but it lacked the intention to what it's original purpose was: to answer our questions rather than give us more. I'm hoping that if they do make season 3 with a new actor as Yoo Han (as his face may have changed in the post credit scene) that all his actions and the overall characters are not as badly neglected as they were in this season.

Personally didn't hate it as much as apparently a lot of other people did.The character of Go Yoo Han will be…
hey! Thank you so much for telling me, sounds really.... weird? I'm not sure how to describe it but I'm honestly not liking the sound of it. I'm gonna watch it and give my own opinions on it but it sounds... off?

On Color Rush Season 2 Jan 27, 2022
okay soooo I need some advice on this season. I was super excited when they first announced that season 2 was coming and I was super hyped after watching season 1 about 10 times plus the movie since I loved the concept of soulmates and I personally didn't have that much of an issue with Yoo Han's actor since I could feel that near the end of the season 1, he was getting better at acting. I know about the general idea about the hate he received about his acting. Personally I don't think season 1 as a whole and the acting was "bad", sure it wasn't ground breaking, but it was better than some of the later 2021 Korean BL that come out and I personally loved Yeon Woo as a character. When I heard that Yoo Han's actor was not going to be in season 2 I was hesitant since his character was gone and after reading people's reviews and comments, I'm really hesitant about watching season 2 since I heard that they might make season 3 and people have mixed reviews on this season. It if's announced that season 3 is coming can someone please let me know?

Also I WANT spoilers please. I want to know about what happened to his mom and his probe. I would love some spoilers since I want to know if it's worth watching. I'm personally not happy at all with the removal of Yoo Han and the new character as a potential love interest which personally is throwing me off and irking me. I heard that the acting and production is better that season 1 and that they're following the novel? Don't get me wrong, better production and actors is fantastic, but if they've sacrificed the story for it, then I don't think it's worth it. I've never read the novel so if anyone has please let me know if they are following it and how close it is to the book. I would love some opinions since the ratings are lower than the first season and personally I would have rather had a recast of Yoo han than his character being thrown into the background and mostly disappear. Thanks guys and I'm really hoping for some advice.

It's a case of "give it 3-4 hours and decide". It's not the worst drama out there.
I watched the first 2 episodes and I REALLY tried to watch and finish the 3rd episode but man was I not feeling it or interested. It was just so... over the top? Idk it just seemed really intense and edgy for no reason. I gave up hahah

I forgot his name but yes, I'm getting weird vibes from him. I'm not sure what kind of dodgy and sketchy thing…
yeah I'm not getting good vibes from him either. Same with the home owner. I'm thinking someone might have been involved with Phob's death but who knows!

Honestly this is a nice change of pace for Thai BL. Although the story isn't original and the concept isn't new, the way it's directed and the acting of Phob makes it worth watching. I like the comic style opening and how it isn't over the top in terms of acting. I like how adorable Phob is as a ghost and it's a nice change for once. I like the mysterious atmosphere and personally I'm looking forward to a Thai BL for once. I hope they keep it up. I'm loving the chemistry between the leads too! For those asking for the additional scenes, you can see the uncut version at dramacool where I saw it. Honestly I'm hoping they continue on with this direction. Anyone else getting weird vibes from Pat's friend? He was doing something weird on his computer and he seems a bit fishy? Anyways I hope this series doesn't fizzle out. I can't wait for next week!

So I'm surprised that they're making this into a live action since I just saw the fan 4 episode animation and that was spicy. I'm just basing my understanding on the animation and I've never read the novel but fingers crossed they do the series justice!

I’m super excited since this looks like a high budget project for once. It will also be the second longest Korean…
Honestly Light On Me shook me to my core since it was the longest KOREAN BL and boy was it awesome. It had the time to breathe and give the characters the time they deserved to breathe life and really make them adorable and relatable. Korea really can if they want to make some great BL and has proved that they can make better BL if they just give the series some time instead of cutting the episodes so damn short. It's one thing to be cutting airing time short due to COVID which is totally understandable, but cutting it due to fear of public opinion or lack of funds just sucks since Light on Me is by far on the best Korean BL I've seen in a long time besides WYEL and other well known BL. If they gave even 20-25minutes it can make a WORLD of difference. If the same amount of attention was given to BL as mainstream rom-com dramas, they'd be just as profitable. Honestly I'm REALLY hoping that they don't screw this up since I've read the webtoon and if they can do a fabulous job with Light on Me then I'm REALLY hoping this on doesn't flop. I'm going in with low expectations since a lot of Korean BL that came out in later half of 2021 were disappointing for me so fingers crossed.

I enjoy the drama. Big time
I couldn't agree with what you said more. People are really confusing me with this show about their arguments about this show being creepy and how the ML is being a stalker and I'm just sitting here scratching my head to be honest. In terms of romance and underage romance, there's hardly any at all and this show is no way inappropriate in comparison to some of the Japanese Tv shows and movies that show EXPLICIT underage sex and teacher X student relations. This show is really focusing on the math and political themes more than anything and honestly their bond, to me, is more pure and more so focused on nurturing each other. As people they want to simply compliment each other and they're both helping each other grow. His teacher helped him out of his shell, helped him move on from his trauma and made him a better person. In respect ,the ML is helping his former teacher to regain her passion for math, teaching and to heal to move on with her life. I honestly think that this show is brilliant in terms of acting and character development.

"so I have no idea what the issue is when Seung yoo and Yoon soo (his former teacher) have literally done NOTHING…
I COMPLETELY agree with this comment since I'm also Ace as well and as I've said through my comment, she's attracted and bonded to him in the sense of intellect and math. In episode 10, she was so SO desperate to be able to solve his problem that she was having a panic attack in the library. He was bringing back the joy that she lost in solving math and I personally feel that she's just trying to regain who she was rather than thinking about him in the romantic sense. Up until this point it's completely one sided but there's still some episodes yet but so far I love this show regardless of how it ends :)
