Thanks for the comment! And yes, it is pretty creepy how they aged up the characters but didn’t age up their…
I totally agree and maybe have the characters be more faithful to the material source. It just irks me how OOC the characters are. I may be too nit picky but this is honestly bothering me. :(
I couldn't agree more with this! Thank you! I'm so glad someone else is having the same problems with this show as I am. Don't get me wrong, I love the production value, actors and amazing OST/soundtrack, but the lack of respect for the original source material and serious deviation of the character's personality is what seems to be the deal braker of this show for me. I've seen all of the anime episodes and read half of the manga as well as read at least 10 chapters of the novel so to see the serious deviation of characters is totally throwing me off. I think the thing that irks me the most is having Tang San seem so innocent and naive when he has such a mature mind set even at such a young age. Having adult actors act like children is the thing that is bothering me the most at this point and I've watched 8 episodes of the show so far.
Hello my dear! From what I remember from the manga and anime, he always knew his past and knew that he died early…
Personally I really don't like the direction of this show. I don't like how Tang San is older already, I don't like how innocent and naive he is and I don't like how he can't remember anything about his past life. It takes away his strong, mature personality that I'm used to both in the novel and anime. I understand that by letting Tan San just learn about things helps the viewers better understand the world and for those who haven't read the novel or seen the anime, it helps with narration, but they totally could have had a quick narration in the beginning like I've seen in tons of other Chinese dramas and have a flashback scene of his previous life. Even having a child actor act out in flashbacks of how he grew up and shown some early concept of his life could have better directed the audience while still sticking with the source material and THEN direct us to the present with an adult version of Tang san if they wanted to go in that direction. Don't get me wrong, Sean Xiao is a great actor and I love his work, but perhaps having him appear when Tang Sang was a bit older would have been better. Something about his innocence rubs me the wrong way. This version of Tang San seems too childish and innocent for my taste and it takes away the intensity and mature allure that he had in the novel and anime.
guys anyone who know the story please spoil me on this....i read that the ML was reborn and that he has his past…
Hello my dear! From what I remember from the manga and anime, he always knew his past and knew that he died early and was aware of his previous life, so I think they're changing the plot for whatever reason :(
OMG this ended with a BANG! Can I just say how PROUD I am for Korea actually filming this and PROPS to the actors man! This show blew me away with the last 2 episodes. At first I was apprehensive and thought that the show was bland and at best average but the acting BLEW me away in the last 2 episodes. I'm honestly so happy and excited that Korea FINALLY is taking the step in the right direction for LGBTQ representation and DAMN that kiss scene was HOT. I was NOT expecting that at all so THANK GOD they took the extra step and went the extra mile. DAMN this totally shook me since the chemistry between KSJ and HJW was intense! Props to both the actors for making it so damn believable and romantic. Honestly they looked so comfortable with other and considering how paranoid Korea still is about reputations and the gay circle I'm super proud <3 This series was honestly a fantastic way to break the ice and hopefully lead into more LGBTQ representation. FINGERS CROSSED for "You make me Dance" to be just as heart warming and amazing as this story was. WHAT A RIDE.
I have seriously high hopes for this one, honestly the teaser looks awesome and the promo pics looks fantastic! Fingers crossed this has a captivating story. The synopsis alone has grabbed my attention and the poster update has got me spinning with excitement! Thanks AgentKevin and allekseu for all the info <3 It's so painful waiting for another 21 days TT__TT
OMG THE POSTER UPDATE LOOKS SO SULTRY AND ROMANTIC! I'm honestly so pumped for this! Thank you Vent Pire for the extra info and lovely images TT---TT I've been super excited about this one for the past month and I was honestly a bit underwhelmed and disappointed with "To My Star" since I had higher expectations, but fingers crossed this BL series will be fantastic <3 I have high hopes for this one since the same director/write for WYEL will be in charge of this <3 LET THE COUNT DOWN BEGIN!
WOW! What a finale! Can I just say that this episode was absolutely beautiful? The beach scene was so romantic is so many different ways, especially how YH was explaining the colors blue and how it was related to lust and was down right flirting with YW. Their chemistry was really start to grow on me and they were finally opening into their roles. I honestly was NOT expecting a happy ending at all, so I'm so happy that they chose this route. Of course nothing was resolved really, we still don't know what happened to YW's mom and how easily YH parents allowed him to be with YW despite how he was saying his mom was probably gonna be a restraining order on YW. Plot holes aside, I honestly thought the story was genuinely beautiful; how two people who were both missing something found what they were desiring in each other. I honestly wish they showed YH's POV earlier on so we could understand his actions and WHY a probe was obsessed with a mono; but the wonderful thing about this show was it had NOTHING to do with them being mono and probe; it was all about loneliness and the pain of suffering that YH was suffering from being unable to see people for who they were and YW being scared of himself and opening up as a person rather than him just identifying himself as a "MONO". The writer's did a fantastic job and I REALLY wish they would do a season 2. The WOW factor really came through with how they both confessed the REAL reason they were obsessed with each other and it made me LOVE YH so much more and it made the writing that much more solid since we FINALLY understood the reason YH was attached to YW. CLEVER WRITING <3
ALSO THE KISS! I WAS NOT expecting that at all; I was taking into account their age and how they were so young, plus this is practically their acting debut almost, so I was very shocked but EXPLODING with joy that they even included it. With WYEL the actors are a tad older so I can understand why they kissed, but I was honestly so pessimistic about them even kissing. I was just praying that they would at least "fake" kiss, but when they touched lips it was a WONDERFUL surprise. I'm so proud of you Korea TT___TT At most I was just hoping they'd at least lean in and touch foreheads or maybe have a camera angle kiss where it SEEMED like they kissed, but man they went for it!
THIS GEM DESERVES SEASON 2. THANK YOU FOR THIS BLESSED SHOW! I will never forget this GEM.
Wow, Ep 7 really tug at our heartstrings.YW can't bring himself to harm YH after thinking about their happy memories…
Honestly this episode hurt so badly. I can't even begin to described my emotions into words. I was so sad and still shocked even though I had a feeling that YW was going to commit suicide, I was still screaming at the screen as I was watching. It was so heartbreaking but it fit his character so well. We all know how soft and sweet YW really is and him committing suicide to protect someone he loves is something he totally would do. It was so powerful and immensely sad that YW was willing to end his life to protect YH. The hotel scene was something so greatly appreciated since, as the audience, we never were really sure of YH intentions till now. It was beautiful to see his perspective and how he was confessing to YW and opening up to him. Honestly I didn't know the actor Hyun Jun was an idol until a few weeks ago and as he said that line at first it fly over my head since I was immersed in the scene but it honestly felt like a huge kick in the gut when I understood the double meaning. This series honestly deserves a movie to fill in the extra plot holes and character development. These 2 actors are finally starting to get into their roles and I can see the development and it's honestly a darn shame that BL series like these aren't getting full length 30min-1 hour episodes. Honestly this series was a diamond in the rough and I appreciate the care that was taken to the story even with scenes skipped from the novel. I've never read the novel but I'm going off of what other people have said and this series was so emotionally touching for me. Both WYEL and this series will be my favourite all time Korean BL series.
TODAY'S EPISODE WAS SO DARK AND SAD! Why you gotta do this to me color rush? TT___TT before everyone starts panicking over Yeon Woo being creepy can I just say the acting during the scene with his aunt at the table confronting Yeon Woo was top notch? especially when he started crying? OMG MY BABY. I left my thoughts over today's episode down in my reply with Mark2299, thoughts anyone?
Okay this is a silly theory but if you watch the finding you mv then you'd notice that yeom woo was in a room…
Hey! That's exactly what I thinking. People are freaking about Yeon Woon and thinking that he will kidnap Yoo Han, but we all need to think about this carefully and about Yeon Woon's character for a minute. At first I was concerned since he was getting seriously obsessed feeling the shock of loosing Yoo han after he went home and experiencing decoloring. He was even considering it, that is true, since he was talking with Min Jae and Joo Haeng. I think it was his way of getting someone to stop him last minute and confirming his doubts about himself being a monster. We all know that since the very first episode Yeon Woo has been super paranoid about becoming a monster and he was resisting being with Yoo Han because of it, but now he considers himself a monster since a part of him WANTS TO kidnap Yoo Han badly but he's still trying to resist. We also have to consider that Yeon Woo is scared of blood as was said in episode 3 and he hates violence as was seen in today's episode 6. I think he was buying all that equipment; the camera, the new phone card and the noose for totally different purposes. Sure at first he might have been actually considering it but I think he changed his mind. The camera, could be to monitor HIMSELF to make sure he doesn't rush off or maybe to install in his room, the new phone card could be to make sure Yoo Han never contacts him again or to put a restraint for Yeon Woo to NOT CONTACT Yoo Han or possibly for when Yeon Woo commits suicide so that Yoo Han never contacts him again. And the noose obviously could be to hang himself. I searched the main purposes of a hangman's noose and it's mostly used for hanging and suicide. Sure there's obviously other purposes but it wouldn't make sense to TIE SOMEOME when kidnapping them with a HANGMAN'S noose. There are other more tighter and secure ways to tie a knot when considering kidnapping and zip ties. Not to sound creepy, but he might have been thinking about kidnapping Yoo Han at first but why then would he try to test out the rope on himself? Sure maybe to check the strength of the rope and knot on tying a person but why was he looking at a tutorial of the HANGMAN'S noose? Idk it just doesn't make sense to me totally, especially when we know Yeon Woon ends up in the hospital. So I think you're right. He'll probably end up trying to kill himself to stop his urge and obsession.
Idk why but I Think that Aunt has something Done to his mom :(Besides this episode was really good .Interaction…
Ohh really?! Are these from the novel? If so that makes sense and I wish the series was longer to tell the audience things like this that aren't obvious. Thanks for clarifying <3
THE PUN WITH YEON WOO'S NAME AND THE RAMEN YOO HAN CRAVED. AHHHHHHHHH!It was SO good and sweet *-*
honestly when Yeon Woo was caressing his face so sweetly and called him handsome I WAS SQUEALING WITH JOY. They're honestly so cute and the acting in this episode was so magnetic between the two. At first they were stiff but the actors are getting so much better! I loved the sensual touching and hand holding during their art exhibit date <3 TT__TT
