Getting tired of the kind, peacekeeper Crown Prince. CSS was wrong. It’s not the 3rd Prince but rather the CP who is a confused man who doesn’t know the difference between right & wrong.
Can people stop interrupting everytime LBY tries to reveal his identity to CSS? It’s already hard for him to do that but y’all just had to make a sour situation worse.
I would prefer they rush the subplots and tie the knots then rushing the main story ... I need LBY and CSS scenes…
Ah I understand but the reason I LOVE LLTG so much is not just because of CSS and LBY. I love the Cheng family dynamics. I love the Royal trio- their relationship and their antics. I love how CSS handles every situation- her vengeance and her brains. I love how the story is told with a lot of heart and there is more show and less tell. Part 1 LLTG was the first drama that made realise that I could fall in love with one without the need for romance in it. Because I love LLTG as a whole, I want justice to be done to every aspect of it-family, romance, tragedy, reconciliation.
They can simply omit a lot of the subplots & focus on the main plot properly if they’re running short of episodes. Quality>Quantity.
We can really see how they’re trying to wrap up the subplots quickly. In the early episodes, every scene was fleshed out and they showed the conclusion of subplots properly but now, we don’t even see NN reuniting with her father and saving him. I was really looking forward to that emotional moment. They’re rushing through the story by wrapping up several subplots in a single episode- Qiqi and bro’s wedding, healing the relationship between mama Cheng and granny Cheng, the Lou family. While I do like the plots and their outcomes, I wish we had more episodes to see them play out properly. Granny and mama Cheng agreeing on a decision for once is good thing but forgiving ALL past grievances?? Really?? Especially since this ‘forgiveness’ was initiated by Granny Cheng who apparently “is not a petty person” LMAO I do wish the pace was slower and deeper so we could see this healing and forgiving play out properly. However, since they were in a jail and almost about to watch their sons be beheaded, I can say it’s understandable and call it a day.
After watching the latest trailers, we know that there are only 4 episodes left to show the plot after the 5 year separation. I hope they won’t rush the reconciliation and will allow the couple’s complicated feelings to uncomplicated themselves over time. I hope CSS doesn’t rush/force herself to forgive LBY but takes her time understanding where she stands with regards to the relationship and if it’s worth a second chance. I want LBY begging for forgiveness. I want LBY on his knees.
I am okay with unnecessary subplots being cut out of the story but I do wish to see a satisfying ending that ties up all the loose ends and leaves us fulfilled like we’d be after feasting on a honey roasted mandarin duck instead of a drooping, sickly chicken.

Exactly and him committing suicide was HIS DECISION. Especially since LBY was willing to plead for him and he could’ve used the map to lessen the punishment. He was fixated on him ambition to become an official and now because that went down the drain, he’s lost his reason to live.
What in the world did CSS do? She literally just exposed him in order to protect her family. He’s responsible for his own fate and actions. I thought at least HZJ would understand since her entire family died. Just because CSS gave up LY, does HZJ expect her to abandon her family just for the Lou’s family’s happiness? LOL that’s entitlement at it’s finest. And LY really disappointment me by low-key blaming CSS, didn’t expect it from him. I’m glad she didn’t marry him.

On second thoughts, I think he did digress from what he wanted to say. When she said that she would protect him, he wanted to spill everything but changed his mind and said he needed her. However, I do feel like him needing her came from his genuine emotions because he was unable to express the complexity of his secrets and put her in danger as well.
