Is express just VIP?
Monthly VIP sub is $5.30 so it’s better to go for a monthly sub + express. Seems like this is a tactic to earn more subscribers

On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Aug 17, 2022
Ep 44
“Shaoshang I- I need you.”
I’m really happy LBY is able to verbalise his needs and desire to be cared for & treated gently by a loved one despite appearing to the world as a strong and formidable General. I’ve been wanting to see a deep vulnerable conversation between them for a while now and this episode fulfilled those cravings 🥰

Ep 43 thoughts (I know I’m slow)

* I loved the conversations between the Empress & Consort Yue. Yue really has such a big heart by sharing her husband with another woman without blaming the latter. She even desires to improve the Emperor’s relationship with the Empress. She really deserves better than a rotten daughter and an unfaithful husband.

* “Rather than standing in her way, why don’t I be her back up?” Day 22 of saying the Empress is the mother we all need 💔😭 She truly understands CSS like no other.

* When LBY rode on his horse to capture General Liang, the scene is shot from the latter’s eye level while he’s fallen on the ground. I love how this accentuates LBY’s might as a smart & cunning general especially when Liang’s men belittle him just moments ago.

* “This isn’t chicken. This is mandarin duck armour!”
“It’s obviously chicken”
“No it’s mandarin duck”
🤣🤣🤣 LBY is really shameless when it comes to CSS.

* I also LOVED that we could see LBY in action. He looked so cool fighting all alone & the soft armour CSS wove for him with love actually saved him?? That’s such a good touch. Plus that rabbit doesn’t look like a rat, he needs to get his eyes checked 😤

*I love how he cares for fei & qi. He’s always ready to punish afei but can’t stand him being wounded in battle. Also afei being willing to risk his life to finish the battle sooner because he didn’t want CSS to wait for a whole month to marry LBY is so considerate. My boy is the best.

Title Being a Hero
I, personally, love it so far! Chen Xiao and Wang Yi Bo are amazing actors. Good storyline too.
Thank you! I’ll watch an episode or two & see how I like it.

Title Being a Hero
Its not bad but I wouldn't say its exceptional either.
Darn it. I’ve been running into a string of unexceptional dramas the past week & I’m bored as hell. Do you have any recs? I could really use it :)

It's true, as said Emperor in realty and drama people much more harsh on woman.. After LBY will do what we know…
I hope CSS tortures him & makes him suffer a lot before forgiving him after you know what. 🙃

But this is what makes Shaoshang so enjoyable to watch! If she was like Yang Yang it'd be such a bore... Vengeful…
It’s so satisfying seeing her get even.

Ikr and the commenters on mdl against css paint lby to be a saint....lol. idk why drama fans hold the female leads…
Just like WL said LBY is sorta unhinged and you wouldn’t want to be with him in real life. He literally told us to stay away from someone like LBY. But the majority of the audience is not able to understand this because they’re male apologists. Problematic male characters are simped over while a FL with a flaw is relentlessly thrashed.

As long as the ML is hot and cares for the FL all his actions, behaviour & flaws suddenly become excusable.

Very sad. indeed. The double standard is “real” between FL and ML favoring the ML ( in general) be it cNetz…
They’re hating on Lusi now? That’s just ridiculous.

Because the majority of the audience is female, as long as the ML is hot and cares for the FL all his actions, behaviour & flaws suddenly become excusable. In fact, the more flawed he is the better because girls love the ‘I can fix him’ trope.

I like the fact that she actually takes her own revenge and doesn't just wait for the guy to do it as that is…
Yeah, he stood her up on their wedding day. Also, the Empress asks him if he’s really going to give up CSS to which he replies ‘Yes’.

Exactly, I agree with CSS when she said that LBY's power is his and not her own. A girl needs to learn to be independent. LBY eventually abandons her for vengeance and leaves her to fend for herself for 5 years, where's his power and protection now?? LOL. You can't depend on your man for everything.

There is so much hate towards CSS on YouTube for being self-centred, independent and seeking revenge for everything. I like CSS BECAUSE she's vengeful and doesn't take shit from anyone. Why should she forgive and be merciful to those who harm and humiliate her without any provocation? If a man was like that, the same people would call him a coward and shame him. Have you ever seen someone fangirling over a male character who's truly benevolent, selfless and merciful no matter what?

Let's be real.

Her flaws make her endearing. She's impulsive but she also has the wits to back it up. She seems self-centred but she's deeply empathetic and absolutely selfless when someone earns her affection and trust (eg, the Empress and now LBY). CSS is such a well written, multi-layered character who is very different from the multitude of submissive, naive, peppy FLs we constantly see. Underneath her strong, witty exterior, she's just a child who wants to be loved.

People need to get used to leads who aren't perfect !! Not everyone can be Hei-Bai Fengxi !! That's what makes wonderful, new stories.

The worst part is the bigotry. The ML can be an unhinged psychopath and will still be loved but if the FL makes a single mistake or has the tiniest flaw, she's slandered relentlessly. Just watch the same people call LBY 'daddy' when he goes on a killing spree during the revenge arc 🙄 The hypocrisy is unreal.

Damn, episode 42 was heartbreaking! It totally reminded me of why I got hooked on the show in the first place,…
You took the words right out of my mouth. It reminded me of part 1 and why I loved the show in the first place. It was initially a slice of life family drama ! A breath of fresh air that made me laugh and cry in the same minute. This is why part 1 will always be superior in my eyes. Palace politics and romance is quite common and while part 2 is still pretty good, I do miss the Cheng family dynamics. It felt good to see them after a long long time.
