Personally I like it this way — watching the drama as it is being aired gives me enough time to emotionally recover from the heartbreak.

Zhixi must have been named DECEIT- she’s deceiving both herself & everyone around her. She actually is fooling herself into thinking she’s doing everything for her sister’s sake lol. I hate her so much but this definitely makes her a more interesting villain.

Zhixi is so manipulative. Her sister has suffered so much and feels so betrayed and yet she’s talking about her own struggles and inferiority complex. Like girl, stop justifying your jealousy and move on.
I can’t believe YD is the one apologising and even goes so far as to call herself a terrible sister. Stop blaming yourself for what was never your fault dammit.

SAME but I’m younger than him by a few years so I don’t feel that guilty. I only started the drama for Lusi, I didn’t know Leo was the ML. Still it feels a little weird.

Nirvana in Fire s1. Leo wu was around 14-15 years old when the drama was filmed and released.

I just love the FL in this drama. I'm only on ep4 and she's exactly like me. Her temperament, intellect, playfulness and desire to get an eye for an eye. I like the way she observes situations and grasps what's happening behind the scenes like who's using who. She's even over-dramatic like me. I just love her soo much. I laugh when she laughs and cry when she cries.

Zhao Lusi never disappoints in both her acting and the roles she plays. I already know this is going to be my new favourite historical drama.

It's soo weird watching LLTG right after NIF. My eyes can't adjust to how our baby boy Fei Liu has grown into such a handsome adult.

Both of them suffered a lot. Also YD is going to be driven to suicide & BQ didn’t think she was committing suicide. She was tricked by sujin, she thought she was simply leaving to the mortal realm when she jumped off the terrace. Leaving her child was also her decision since she never had any thoughts about killing herself. Yeah but I understand that it’s not right to compare them. Suffering is suffering I suppose.

Firstly, YH never brought Susu to heaven in the first place. He planned on escaping with her by faking his death. It was the Sujin who reported Susu and the heavenly officials who dragged her to heaven. So he was not at fault there.

Secondly, emotional pain = physical pain if not greater just like YD said heartbreak is more painful than being punished by thunder. At least BQ knew YH loved her & no one else even when he did betray her. At least they were together for a while and had a lot of sweet moments together where they were devoted to each other.

But in IS, the only sweet moments were in the dream and the cottage and they haven’t confessed to each other yet. YD doesn’t know that YY loves her. She thinks he loves Zhixi & will never be seen for all the sacrifices she made for him. She ripped her heart out for him and the credit is given to someone else. YY pretends that he doesn’t recognise her and continues to claim that Zhixi is his saviour. Imo, this is extremely painful. BQ never sacrificed anything for YH. She was just mistreated by others while YD sacrificed so much and did sooo much all while never knowing that he does love her. He’s just indifferent and acts like her sister was the one who ripped her heart out and took care of him.

Personally I prefer YY over YH any day. But I’m not trying to say one is better than the other. It’s just the magnitude of suffering of the female leads that’s being compared here. I know YY’s hands were tied but because of his inaction and external situations, YD suffered far more than BQ ever did.

I agree. Villains at least don’t hide their intentions. The real pain comes from finding out those you trusted always envied you and now have betrayed you. I love YD but I’m afraid she might be too selfless and forgiving. I want vengeance haha.
