Definitely! There were many moments I hated the MC too, and as for the situation with Mr.Kim, Yong was a naive party gay. The situation was more of a "right person, wrong time".

reviews aren't horrible though? It has a rating of 8.5 and most reviews are in the range of 7-9, story and acting section receiving the highest.
If u like a more deeper understanding of gay life, including the bad and sad parts then this is for u since its NOT a BL.
It gives the vibes of "call me by ur name". If u don't like serious dramas then its not for u, Theres no "one love forever" in here either.

Overall its a brilliant drama depicting gay life.

Its to do with creative freedom. Also netflix has pretty big budget and have great tv series that explores themes like gore, murder, zombies and other diffcult to portray instances. Nothing's being that "westernized" from the tv series i've watched. It also gives a legal platform for everyone to watch since 99% of Kdramas are pirated.

Why are u talking as if all kdramas are gonna have sex in it? Most don't and having sex scenes and nudity wasn't something new to tv series though it was a few. Sex scenes ain't a "western" thing. It never was. If u don't like those then simply skip those scenes an watch the rest.

Every single one of his relationships fail. Its about how he navigates through them. Its basically him discovering what love is and finding out why he can't keep a relationship for so long. Some characters die in the tv series. While he still hasn't found the perfect love he thinks that one day he'll find it but after fixing his own flaws. I'd say he's satisfied with his current life but not genuinely happy. It ends with him having a party with his friends who stayed by him through thick and thin and reminiscing his past relationships and his flaws.
