So for me what makes this drama stand out from the rest is that its not ur typical gentle drama. It doesnt shy away from the violence (proper beat up of FL in ep 2) sexual harrasment. And the chemistry is of the charts. Im not condoning the violence but to see it in a recent chinese drama makes things more real for me. This drama is a guilty pleasure as I enjoyed the strong ML all about power and control. Im bored of seeing politicaly correct dramas where the couple bearly hold hands and kiss like wooden dolls and we r suppose to believe (or use our imagination) that they actually love and want each other, Im a visual person I want to SEE it! Maids Revenge reminds me of the English drama Bridgerton with its sexual tension, hate to love relationship and you see skin and love making! Maids revenge never got as far as that but as sure as hell has worked up my imagination/fantasy. Also I have loved this group of people who have made me laugh in such a long time with ur comments its veen a blast. Thank you all. ❤️

For me I saw this pop up on my Youtube feed. I had just come of watching Immortal Samsara. I couldn't bring myself to finish it about 5ep left due to neg spoilers. Repubican era is normally a no no for me as its always depressing (although I love the visuals of this era) but noticed the FL CFT. I have been a fan of hers for awhile. I had also just finished watching her other mini drama My kungfu girlfriend (dont watch that its bad). So I watched first ep of Maids revenge with no expectations. DGZ abs was a pleasent surprise 🤭🥵
I'm just wondering how China is going to receive today's episode. Will they be able to differentiate between fiction…
I agree with you @Amaportia. People need to remember that this is a drama and that they r all actors, acting out a character. SML has done a great job of being the villian caus we all hate him now. But I dont hate the actor I applaud him for taking on this role, knowing the plot direction. Alot of actors would not have done it for the very reason of backlash. I hope he does well as ML in the next drama to showcase his acting skills.
