i honestly did not get interested until ep 4. after that i couldn't stop watching.

i regret starting this when it hasn't finished airing T_T

goodness, those first two sentences of the summary made me think the leads are going to have some kind of incestuous relationship :(
Finally relenting to watch this because i keep seeing people here rating the drama quite high. fingers crossed it's not going to disappoint

so how much angst this drama has? just checked first 5 minutes and i'm too scared that this drama will have angst throughout

the writer of this drama is the same one as LLTG! now this has become my most anticipated cdrama! hoping god of censorship won't fail them!

is there any mention on why the xifan doesn't address her parents with mom & dad, but teacher shen & mrs shen? and what do they call shen xifan? my chinese knowledge is very baseline lol

i dropped this at the first ep but cynn-lynn blog had this drama as one of the best from 2024 so i have to check it out again lol
but seeing all the comments, i'm quite pessimistic.

how was this compared to New Life Begins?

8.2 is too low. this drama deserves at least 9! great writing, great shots, great performance from the actors! i have no complain.
would never forget that ending shot of wriggling catterpilars on the top of the mountain lol

honestly, i lost the plot at ep. 37.. things just become too convoluted for me to follow...

- i hope shengyi's brotherwon't be that infatuated to mudan in the next season. girl kept getting attention from wrong men who didn't know when to quit.
- liuchang is evil but at that scene when he go off at his parents... i'm rooting for him lol the chance is near zero but i kinda hope he'll get positive character development. that would be groundbreaking for the usual black & white dramas.
- rooting for the emperor and consort shu! they need to be united to go against the adversary! god how much i'm simping over 'getting married first (and have child first in this case), fall in love second' trope.

currently in ep 5. honestly this mika girl is probably the unluckiest in her whole batch like she kept getting into trouble lol

the view was gorgeous but i feel bad with how people kept following him around lol

ah! reading your comment makes me want to continue watching the last 2 eps but i'm scared of the 2nd concubine plotline T_T

interesting! we don't really have that level of devoutness towards voice artists here in my country. so i don't really connect with the drama at the beginning.

Nooooooo T_T I guess i'll just continue watching this after the second season got released, then.
