i enjoyed the drama.... but i think jinmi should have end up with night immortal rather than the pheonix.....…
ye i agree with bibi-bibi in that there really wasn't much to support the development in her relationship with Night Immortal. While he was nice to her, you could see the controlling nature begin to grow. But with Phoenix the story gives us enough to realize why they got along together, why they were fated
I do get your point that his personality shift was a lil overreactive but I guess you could explain it given what happened to him over the course of the drama with continuous accusations, realizing the love for his mother too late, and the lack of revenge to a point where the grief, want for "justice" & the fact that the very fiancee he's been waiting for years for is in love with someone else can drive a man crazy.
overall however, the drama did pretty well : D (and ye tbh given SLS you'd want for the night immortal to have a happier ending which he didn't ; -;)
Finished the drama a few days back and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I'm left speechless with the visuals be it the actors themselves or the very costumes & CGI. The stories are beautiful, and the characters?? You'll grow attached to so many, fall in love with many, hate a few, mourn for a few and just be so hooked that you'll be an idiot like me and binge past 4 am because you can't bear to leave it hanging at that one moment.
Like many in the comments, heavily recommend giving the first episode a try. Its a world of its own and I found myself on a journey with the main leads : 3
oh : O i see okeoke i haven't begun watching the drama yet so my comments are just based on what I see the synopsis saying. might give the drama a try in the coming months : D
nono the whole "being reborn again fates being intertwined once more" like i know Chicago Typewriter had the ghost in there, but just gives me those vibes
i'm going to watch this for the JCW's kissing and the fact that i missed him...sigh. I was really look forward to this but 4 episodes in i lost the wish to continue. months later her i am just for the scenes lol
I needed to say that I am not into Lee Jae Wook, he is not my type of looks and I don't get all the hype over…
This may or may not be the case but I think Search: WWW brought about even more recognition to him recently so I'm guessing that might be it? I don't mind to be honest. He was great in Search: WWW and he seems to be doing fine. I like all of the actors. It's really nice : 3
Excuse but stop making drastic conclusions on a culture like that. Okay this happened around the topic of rape.…
Okay. You just called a Korean movie that is creating a fictional world, as a means of accusing the entire country of being sexist. Aren't you basically pointing fingers and making this drastic assumption?
Okay, one movie. One scenario that you of all people find is a means of disrespecting raped women, and now the whole country is being assumed as sexist?
I am not saying they aren't sexist but I also wouldn't generalize down to a whole damn country. Who are you to point fingers at a culture that isn't yours and blame its entire population?
Yes the issue you point out is wrong. But I also don't agree in your point of saying the whole country is sexist.
I know what it's like when people make assumptions about my country of origin based on 1-2 movies and it is extremely disrespectful to someone from that very country who knows that it applies to a VERY SMALL amount of people in that country.
There is 100x more evidence showing Korean culture is not as sexist as you seem to deem it in that comment.
Point out the propaganda if you want. But do not blame an entire country and its people for it. It is wrong.
A disgusting propaganda about conspiracy around rape. The whole message of the movie: there's conspiracy, it's…
Excuse but stop making drastic conclusions on a culture like that. Okay this happened around the topic of rape. Who are you to single out Korea as a sexist country.
You can't call it sexist without looking at your own country and other countries. This message the movie shows is prominent in the WHOLE WORLD. Calling an entire culture sexist over one movie and one conflict is just disrespectful.
I have a feeling they purposely made the comedy cringeworthy in regards to them maybe playing out 1999 Korea?? It's like a subtle way of showing the difference in time period, behaviour maybe? It's too early in the story to come to the conclusion and we haven't had much of 2019 and what happens then. But its just a thought. Knowing that the two actors are very well known and good, there might be more than what one sees on the surface.
Ugh. The acting is over the top. It's unbearable. Watching it for Won Jin Ah. But she is also over the top. This…
I think there may be a reason for the forced drama...maybe..? They are setting themselves initially up in 1999 and I feel like they are purposely making it overdramatic to kind of....play out the kind of feels it was back then?? I'm not sure though. Will need another episode or two to see if there's a contrast and conclude it was intentional
Okay so those who have finally come to your senses and realized this drama is FINALLY HERE JCW IS BACKKKK - I see quite a lot of negative comments and disappointment so I shall clarify a lot of the reasons behind it.
This drama in my opinion is one of those slow-plot-reveal ones, which means as of now even though we have two episodes, the plot still has sections that will be clarified in future episodes than now. So for many there seems to be 'plotholes'. But come on. It's JUST their first week. However I understand if you feel that way.
I shall use Suspicious Partner as a comparison. First two episodes into this drama I seriously had no idea where the plot was going. I was realllllyy confused as to what even was going on. HOWEVER, into the episodes it started to get clearer and things made more sense.
I encourage those that missed JCW and newcomers to consider that lense that its only been 2 episodes and there is always more to the drama. It's still new. Give it time. Don't jump to huge conclusions yet.
Taking into account an Abyss comparison, it might mean this drama's slow plot reveal might either make or break it.
Now personally I missed JCW and his acting for quite awhile so I'm willing to stick with it regardless : P
Do not be scared. Depending on how much plot in first 2 episodes mean to you make your choice. I think the drama has ironically tried to outline 1999 drama acting pretty well, and I look forward to how the story will progress from now on. There's many unanswered questions, but only time will tell ^^
After watching the first and second episodes, I've thought enough about it to put I think is my two cents into…
I think it's too early to judge it for plotholes! It's only been 2 episodes and we haven't even given it halftime to reveal the different bits of the story.
I know many are disappointed but like...think of Suspicious Partner.
I had NO IDEA what was going on the first two episodes but once they started releasing more episodes the holes were sealed up one by one.

If you don't mind that go ahead! I personally missed JCW's acting quite a lot so I needed to start off to fulfill my deprivation
