For those who love this drama as much as i do, we’re truly the strongest warriors. Cheers to almost a week or so, that our hearts got broken and shattered in millions pieces, yet still claiming this is the finest drama in 2023. They live in our hearts, i guess that’s all that matters <3

i have seen worse rating for other drama. and it’s really not surprise me with this one. true, Douban is really a different breed of reviewers.

same here. It’s hard to move on tbh. i wanted more from them, 40 episodes seems not enough. maybe they can make the part 2 where it start with the journey to immortality. im seated for it.

the fact that mdl rating still 8.8 really tells that it is really a great show regardless of its ending. it’s okay, we cant satisfy everyone 🤧

ikr. i remember being so speechless watching Ren Ruyi in the first episode, how good the fighting scene. And then, they introduced the liudao hall gang, with even more martial arts portrayal, i was so seated for it. mindblown with how good the fight scene they showed. argggh, i already missed all of them. the sign to rewatch the drama.

since i cant move on yet, let me tell the new watchers as to why you should start watching this drama;

1. A badass assassin. The smart one. The one with intelligence, beauty, persistence, and really look like a ASSASSIN.
2. a charismatic ML. the walking green forest. in equal strength with the FL.
3. these two made powerful couple! a really matured relationship.
4. a chef’s kiss brotherhood. the best friendship you could ever asked for. and you can see how precious they are. you’ll end up love each of them.
5. best written character’s growth.
6. the best portrayal of martial arts. it’ll blows your mind how good it is.
7. the comedy in its perfect timing, it makes you laugh of how petty and silly some of them are.
8. handsome marquis with his curly hair!
9. the journey in search for peaceful life, to find love and freedom. the sacrifices of each characters’ made for the good cause.
10. the line up of amazing OSTs. It won’t disappoint you.

above all, this drama has the perfect ingredients for a great drama has to be and it’s really well executed. dont try to look at the way it ends. or even you do, trust me, the ending really give justice to the drama. it’s a well written drama, with great casts, top notch acting, and a beautiful journey to love.

it depends on your interpretation. i personally think it’s a good ending.

this time, listening to the OSTs will never be the same, it comes with different sentiments now. I missed our Liudao Hall brothers already, our boss Ning, Ruyi and our Yang Ying.

I need to remember they’re just fictional characters, I cant get too attached to them 🤧

What a journey! I must say this is by far the best wuxia drama i’ve watched. Top notch qualities of great casting, the martial arts, the portrayal of war, the development of characters, the comedy, the angst, the romance, the OSTs and the lessons that comes with it. From the first episode till the last one, it never fails to make me speechless. And it still does.

I quite disagreed when people said this is the bad ending. Because I personally think, it’s not. Sad yes, but not a bad ending. And these two totally not the same. I also disagreed when people said it kinda rushed ending. Imo, there’s nothing rush in this drama. It was well fleshed out. Every characters shine on their own, gets to tell their stories. Even their ending got to be shown in the perfect amount of screentime so we, the audiences, can properly grief for them, cried for them and even proud of them.
And in my own interpretation of the ending, i would like to believe that Ruyi and NYZ still alive happily with their daughter and son, somewhere far away from the bustling world.

The Liudao hall brothers will hold a special place in my heart. I cried in all the flashback, all the good memories when they’re still together and alive. Proud of Yang Ying’s growth, she came all the way from a crybaby to a persistent lady. LTG surely did learn his lessons, he need to encounter all those failures and made stupid decisions, in order to be wise in the future. Chu Yue might be alone at the end, but im sure, deep in her heart she knows, there’s a guy who love her more than anything, he died protecting her and the city.

To our beloved Yu Shi San, the most handsome guy, the one who always come late. But you never failed to come. Alen Fang, excels in his performance as YSS. Also, I need to see more of Liu Shi Shi in the future; she mesmerised me in every way possible. And we need more of Liu Yu Ning as a male lead, his charismatic deserved more spotlight. Thank for all the supporting cast, you bring this drama to another whole level. This experience is UNFORGETTABLE.
