who knows at the end AJTL will surprise us where Yu Shi San ended up with Jin Meiniang instead. Thatās gonna be a chaotic household. But, iām liking it, they make a cute couple too.
LTG transition from obsessing over his shifu to back over business is just so quick. boy cant let go his obsession over his shifu and the same time crave for more power (he needed both it seems). and for the fact he listen so well to any instructions coming from Ruyi and thatās alone make him happy (thatās cute, good boy). It seems to me, he craves for Ruyiās attention and he wants her to acknowledge him like a motherās do.
Literally thinking the same.. someone wonāt get their happy endingā¦
ikr. bcs here clearly Princess CY seems smitten over LTG. so idk how she ended up liking Yu Shi San or Yu Shi San liking her (or thatās what weāre assuming). idk where this is going, but it scares the hell outta me.
the director should be given credit for trusting LYN for this main role. and thank you Mr. Liu Yu Ning for believing on yourself and work hard to showcast your full potential, you certainly nailed NYZās character. despite whatever hate comments you received for this role, trust me, we all believed the opposite of it. this drama proven it all. you did so well in your first drama as the main lead. to many more in the future š„
now if they can let LTG be in the club and quit writing him being tacky. It doesn't make sense that he's as lethal…
iām in the slightest didnāt worry about his āobsessionā; not that much. either the enemies will use āthe princessā as his weakness or so whatever. after all, we talking about Ruyi right here. in terms of power; Ruyi is superior than him. and i know, if heās in danger; his shifu is more than willing to save him. but i do believed in the script writer, they will not do his character dirty till the end. judging from where the direction headed, they will make use LTG to his highest potential (hopefully so) and cant wait for him and his shifu to reunite.
i make it a habit to come here to just praise about this masterpiece. how it is so good, it left me breathless. Ruyi and NYZ set the bar high for how a healthy relationship should be developed. the way they tolerate for each otherās needs and wishes. the way they fight together and show what a powerful couple they are; without trying to hide from each other and cause misunderstandings. iām so madly in love with them. i can complain none, even LTG character deserved a praise. he will get over his shifu once he knows the truth, heās getting there. letās just be patient.

what i can say, this drama has nothing new with its plotline. but the execution is truly well done. the comedy, the romance, the tension, the wuxia, the chemistry, the cinematography and the maturity (unusual to happen in cdrama), all been executed so well.

i love the tension between LTG and Ruyi. the way she just need to call his name and order him to look at her, he all crumbled right there and then. the scene where she poured the wine on him, omgg.. i had rewatched it three times. talk about badass assassin and a master to her disciple, she ATE it and left no crumbs.
my heart aches for Ruyi, she tried to look calm as if sheās accepting that one point she need to let go of Ning Yuan Zhou. She had seen so many deaths in her life, people thought she already used to it, that death seems didnāt matter to her. watching NYZ passed his critical time, she cant helped crumbling down even if she didnāt show it to others.
it hurts her knowing NYZ wanted so much to live away from all the fights and being pawn in the competition of power. he almost pay the price for staying in it.
This is such a good movie. Mind you that i watch this movie with a clean slate, expecting nothing in return and not knowing whoās the main lead and whatās this movie gonna offer.
But as the story progress, i feel all the emotions resurfaced. Itās nothing new tbh watching this kind of love troupes, but thereās something about this movie that pulled me. Itās the portrayal of life, dreams that need to be fulfilled. People thought when you love someone, you do whatever you can to stay. But can you abandoned yourself for the sake of love? and this movie, gives you the answer. And i found it, quite beautiful. In the past, Ethan abandoned his life and his family for his ex lover, who he loved so much. But later on, he stand in his ground and not just work hard to achieve his dream but he allowed Joy to achieve hers too.
The lines exchange between the main lead are so powerful. You cant helped to engrave in your mind. The background music, the reality of life for migrant workers are beautifully portrayed.
Director be like; i would do you a favor. i know this part is boring, hence i make it quick for you.
While those important scenes were fleshed out, shown bit by bit, in the most beautiful way. the director truly understand the assignment.
