Female character Is Great
It was a different kind of story but I love the lead female character. She was strong, independent, straightforward, and did not let herself be hurt by what people think of her. She was cold because of her past and very private but her sincerity was great. The lead male character at first does not know what to do with her but her sincerity, I believe is what makes him fall in love with her. He stand by her side and supports her thru all her struggles. I enjoy the story until they started inter twining all the characters story between his fathers death and her father and brother. I did like the surprise of the news article and the ending. NO MEANS NO
I could have enjoy this drama more if the women were not made to be puppets of these men. I question what they think is love. To force someone into sex the way these women were force I don't consider it love. They were pressure and to me, that is rape. When they are saying "NO" and the men keep going and force them into bed to me that is rape. I wonder what the writer consider what is love. These men treat love as an obsession, to be dominants and ruler of their partner or have more then one partner. The writer need to open their eyes and see what the world is like realistic around them. What are really women now in 2022, Yes, at the end the lead girl gets a back bone and choses for herself but through out the the drama most at these women were being cattle by the men with pressure to keep their job and to do what ever they said, if they wanted to move up in the company. The women are made to look naïve and stupid and to keep everything to themselves or just to say keep quite. Yes it has a happy ending but I can't give it much of a rating. We are in the 21st century and women are independent, smart, and know how to work along men to be equal. Many of us lead major companies. Cheer Her Own
I always love a strong women and the lead female is one very strong women. She is an ex-athlete that put what she has learn in her athletic career to help her with her new job. She combines her love for web toons to her athletics career to make a change in her life. The men in this drama do not know what to do with her but she cheer them on and helps with the everyday problems and authors of these comic books. She also learn how to socialize with the book store owner and workers so these books get put in their shop so they can be better sold for both authors and shop owners. We follow the lead female how she grow in this career and her change in life. The actors performance is great and love the story line.Was this review helpful to you?
Watch And Relax
This reminds us that sometimes taking it a littler slower and taking a break from social media is not bad. I am much older and remember does day. I like the importance to help our neighbors and thinking of the food we eat and what does it contain. I enjoy the cute romance and the love triangle. I did not like the 2 episode that bring in and ex-girlfriend and that she is obsess with making the lead male actor hers all of the sudden. I do not know ay women who break up with an ex and moves on. believing that she can come back and force him to make a relationship start again. Very Relatable
I like the story but it was a little to long. I know that the question about an older women and a younger man and the issue with her mother. Her mother seem to want women to be independent and learn to live with out a support of a men but then she is old fashion and wants her daughter to have a wealthy husband and older then her daughter. The mother contradicts her self thru out the whole drama. As old as the female lead is, she is insecure and not confident enough. But the lead male helps her to be confident and secure and that is why he fall in love with her and she with him. He show her that a men can be caring, supportive, and loving. I like the supportive women characters also who help her succeed but not the characters who bring her down and make her in secure. That is what her mothers contradiction makes her to be. The lead female is strong and picks a strong career as a lawyer but when her job choice is not up to her mother stander and her mother is not proud of the job she choose, she becomes insecure and not confident of herself. This is something that many of us women know how it feel and understand. I enjoy the ending. The actors performance was great and the story was good.Was this review helpful to you?
Enjoy The Music
At first I did not know if I would like this drama but they did a good job making us believe that these were real classical musicians. As the story went along I enjoy the music and you learn about the composer and why they wrote that particular music. It seems that this story tells us that music geniuses have a little mental problem which makes them great musicians or they have to suffer when there young to become a great musician. ( I do not believe that) The relationship between the male lead and the female lead is very weird. She constant acts like a child and he acts very arrogant. He starts realizing his problems and makes friends with other students who are consider losers. but I feel that his relationship with the female lead character is more like he is her parent and she needs a lot of attention. There is no real emotional romance between then but as a teacher and a student and they are very loyal to each other. A good Fantasy Story
I like the story and the main male lead brought a lot of sincerity to the story. The female lead I could do with out. She made the story a joke until the last few episode were she was more serious about what was happening. I know the writer was trying to show that she is young and spoil but it did not come thru that way. I found her character annoying and stupid that did not care for even when her dad was in prison she did not act serious enough. The crown prince characters was also made to look stupid and childish. It became annoying. I wouldn't have married him either. The ending was confusing and not satisficing. But over all I enjoy the drama. The romance was not very strong but still cute and nice sceneries.Was this review helpful to you?
Try It You Might Like It.
This a drama you can enjoy or not. I like the story and the characters in the story, but I think is to long. Some of the episodes could have been done away with because to me they where a waist of time. I do enjoy the three brothers and their life's. The family issue was also very interesting. The twist and turns were good except the pregnancy's. The older son wife is pregnant when the 2nd son gets married but then they act like the wife are in the same trimester. Impossible but unless you listen carefully you would not have catch that. The actors gave a great performance to bring sincerity to the story. Is Better Then You Think
A very tense drama that make you think. After each episode I was left wondering about the story and my own experience. At first you start wondering about this couple but as it goes on you start seeing both sides. The devil as I call the spirit who is commending the female lead character is just hateful just because of his experience but those not really understand this couple. The one thing about this couple is no communication which let up to so many misunderstanding. The twist and turn on this short drama are very good and little by little it start unfolding until the surprise ending. No Good, But Not Bad, Just SOSO
I wanted to watch this drama because I am such a big fan of Ren Jia Lun but it was not as good as I would have like it to be. In some way it felt like a documentary while they explain the training and everything that fire fighters do. Then after you get constant scenes of them training you get to see a small part of action of a fire or a rescue. You get to know very little about the characters other then the lead roles. I was very surprise how early in the episode one of the characters dies. The 2nd couple started with a good story but then all the suddenly the writer decides to have the female character not want to get marry after all she fought to have the male character fall in love with her and she leaves because she can't face him on something her father did. Then she comes back they get back together but her father is against it. The story did not cut it for me. The romance of the 2 leads had no chemistry and the female lead was a cold turkey. The drama was to long and slow in some scenes. It was an OK drama if you are a fan but not a favorite.Was this review helpful to you?
Some Episodes are Good, Some Episodes areBad
I like the characters in this drama and the plot of the story but it was to long. As the younger sister gets in trouble and is suppose to have martial art skill that we see very little of it. The older sister is more reserved and refine and tries to keep in control the younger sister. The writer tried to throw some curves that to me only upset does who where watching the story. The evil aunt that could get better assassins and even her maid was a great assassin but the emperor could do nothing. The aunt that can get away with all the bad things and then leave it to her son who was a good person but turn bad because of jealousy. No! to far fetch for me. The obsess maid that was in love with her son, did all the dirty work and did not care that she was treated badly, To far fetch. The romance is cute but sad with all the couples. The ending left me very upset. After you made us watch 40 episodes and we were enjoying the Emperor and the women (Older Sister) he love finally be together you ended with them separating. What, hoping for a second season? The actors did a good performance and most of the story is enjoyable, but be ready for disappointment.Was this review helpful to you?
This Is Hard, But Not Bad To Watch
The chemistry between the FL and the ML is very good. I love the way they decided to help each other out. I really enjoyed the storyline. I appreciated the friendship that developed between the leads. As a relationship built on needs that each other had. Even do as they do not realize how they are helping each other it's only once they get to the the end they can appreciate each other. She needed something to live for, and he brought some joy, love and friendship into her life. She help him feel confidence of himself with her friendship which turn to love. Acting performance of the actors was not bad and the story line as hard it is to deal with death we all can relate.Was this review helpful to you?
Great Story to Watch.
Cute story and very well directed. , The actors performance was very good. At first I thought Tori Matsuzaka who is 24 was too old to play the part of a high school student. He convince me in his performance that he was well match with the FL and there was great chemistry between them. I really enjoyed this movie. The story was well paced, with no extreme highs drama or ex-girlfriends with an obsession. Just a beautiful realization of self-worth for the FL. Female Lead Saves The CEO
I wanted to watch this drama because both of the leads are in my top 10 actors that I admire. When it first started, I quickly started to love the FL because Tan Song Yun was strong, smart and great charisma. I like how she stay calm when her boss would try to insult her. But I could not understand that her boss is the character that she would end up with. As a women I would never feel love for someone who insult me or belittle me and disrespected me. I can see him giving her orders at work and being tough but not the way he treated her and disrespected her. Maybe I demand more of my boss. Lin Geng Xin, he was spoil and arrogant and just because he was good at his job and was talented, to me he just like belittling people underneath him. The story was good and it even got better as she starts dating and becomes a great investor. Her boyfriend did leave me with suspicion, especially when he became angry. The FL had to save the CEO and his family. That is so good to say. But then came the ending and it left me with a sad look. I already had lost a bet because I said they would kiss by episode 30. The first touch of lips did not count that was not a kiss. I figure that the writer would give them 2 episode to really show romance between them and falling in love but no. 2 cold ducks that kiss and END. No sorry, that was not good for me. I Enjoy It
This story tells the Boys Over Flower story in a more detail then the Korean and Chinese. It is a little more violent that al the others. It felt more of the challenge of Hanazawa Rui and Domyoji Tsukasa love for Makino Tsukushi then any other version. We really find out that Rui does fall in love with her but accepts her choice of who she wants to be with. Other version does not specify that he is really in love. There are action but the characters always makes it as he was just trying to get them together. I really like this version and I even compare it to all the "Meteor Garden" versions that are also out there. I have watch both "Boys Over Flower" and "Meteor Garden" in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Thailand. There are parts in many of them that I really like but the Japanese version and Korean of "Boys Over Flower will be my favorite, except I did not like the ending of the Korean version. Chinese version of "Meteor Garden" I enjoy but did not like the ending.Was this review helpful to you?
