It's ok, thank you for your comment bc you actually gave me a chance to explain a bit more of my thoughts. ❤️

I don't think you understood me bc I didn't get into that part since my point was elsewhere. I have no issue with the actor or him getting hype or being appreciated in general. The comments that I've saw though was that his character carried the show, he's the only interesting part of the drama and being shipped with the Hu Xiu character over the lead character and THESE I don't understand. Him being appreciated as an actor on top of people liking the romance of the main couple I do understand. What I've read on douyin:I don't.
Also, I personally don't put Dai Xun in the not "conventionally" handsome category. Maybe he's seen like that bc he hasn't had the opportunity to get roles that showcase his handsomeness? I don't know. I do hope he gets this opportunity from now on though.

It's possible. Or super young that can't understand how valuable it is to see female characters being decisive, strong and open to express their love to the person they actually like.. But then again these same douyin folks that complained about Pei's reduced storyline also said bad things about the male lead's acting which was when I knew I couldnt take them seriously considering I think CXX has been great at this role, creating an electrifying couple with LYX. 🤷

Wait until you learn the original novel had him dating the female lead for quite some time and it's only bc the drama decided to adjust those storylines that we didn't get a very messy love triangle and an annoying female character. 😩Chinese viewers though are OBSESSED with Pei and the actor that played him which honestly I don't get. I guess it's a taste thing, it seems a lot of Chinese viewers want more mess, when I tell you I saw many comments on douyin saying the adjusted script was more cliché and they wanted the Pei-Hu Xiu dating storyline. 😩 They made me wonder if we had watched the same thing bc what's more cliche than an annoying female lead that goes back and forth back and forth. lol

Title Love between Lines Spoiler
What episode did they break up?
Ep24 but it's kind of more complicated bc even though they officially break up the in between episodes have many scenes that show how much they care for each other.

I absolutely loved this drama. Between this and Shine on Me, it seems modern C Dramas are making a comeback. I…
Interesting. I kind of saw this differently. I felt like the best friend's storyline was a nice original way of showing how a seemingly great marriage falls apart but the woman is able to deal with it and refocus on herself. If they had her dating the other best friend, it would've been more of a cliche for me, even though they had good chemistry. But personally I enjoyed the power of that character and how she dealt with what happened to her. She gave me more as a supporting character than most dramas allow for the supporting characters that just exist to move the main couple's plot. I respect your opinion though, I only wanted to add my perspective. ☺️

I'm on ep 23....can't wait
Lucky you!! The next episodes are like an acting masterclass on sadness and yearning and being madly in love. This couple is like the gift that keeps on giving! 🎁🫠

Dear lord the ep27 reconciliation scene.. I'm going to repeat that scene around 100times and then some more. My jaw on the floor with the acting and whole execution.. Probably one of the most romantic scenes in a drama.🫠

Me: Nooo I don't want the fast express, I don't want this drama to end.
At the end of ep25: where's ep26????? I need ep26!!!lol

I don't have the time yet to go on the last 6 episodes binge that I want but I couldn't hold myself and saw some clips on Twitter that ONCE AGAIN made me think:
What a natural couple!!! My pet peeve with romance dramas is that a lot of times the main couple doesn't seem as IN LOVE as they say that they are. They usually dramatically state their bigger than life LOVE but they don't feel like a real life couple.
Fast forward LBL gave me that actually passionately in love real life couple. The actors played this so beautifully. The director just captured it so beautifully. The whole production knew how to show it beautifully. Like FINALLY. A couple that made me believe they were in love.

I hope Yuxiao gets both internationally and in China the smart, supportive fans that she deserves. The type that know how to promote her work, show support and be insightful with the comments that they leave in public places.
Yuxiao is a talented, compassionate, mentally & physically strong woman, so she deserves fans that are like her.
Anyone that takes the time to read her interviews will realize she's emotionally sensitive but not fragile, reflective, optimistic by choice and someone who believes in small impact, gradual change, and lived experience

The day of booting the new drama is getting close. I hope she realizes that she’s putting her career at risk…
Can you please stop with these type of negative comments? Below you've expressed many times that you like LYX and if you actually do these type of comments HERE don't help her in any way. She WILL do this project, there's a signed contract and it's not going to change. As for TJC's situation who the fck knows what has actually happened and we'll never know unless solid evidence is provided. Overall, acting is a job like any other and when there are contracts actually stepping out of a contract hurts one's career more. If you can't stand the next project go on your twitter page to complain about it please.

Im getting diabetes from watching ep 21..they’re too sweett❤️
Lmao SAME! I had that exact thought! I couldn't stop smiling! What is this sorcery!?! 😍

I swear this is the only drama where it doesn't feel like I'm watching a 40min episode. They feel so short and that they end so fast and I end up wanting more!! Whereas on other dramas I end up wanting to skip here and there. With this one an episode end and I'm like "why so fast" I lose all track of time. WHAT A COUPLE, WHAT A SHOW!!!!!

This!! The amount of people I have seen on Twitter wondering about the vr glasses and how is it possible for Hu Xiu to enter the game without them or how did they kiss, etc. Many haven't realized what you said about the audience pov.

The only thing is "if they don't wear the glasses then why doesn't it show them holding them?"
Well to that, this is where the drama can be more drama-like and not try to fit in all the realistic logistics. From a production choice visually it would be more annoying to always see people hold the glasses so I think the vr element they made the choice to not bring it up again and let people not think about it as much. However, since I've seen people wondering how they do this or that with glasses or not glasses I thought it'be good to write my own thoughts on the matter.
On Love between Lines Jan 19, 2026
I think I need to point this out: the game it's a physically REAL game that has vr elements. The vr glasses they can wear them to see the extra vr elements. BUT they can also not wear vr glasses and theyd still be able to move inside Rong Cheng.
The game has an actual set. I've seen many talk about how did they kiss with the vr glasses but they didn't have to wear the glasses. You don't need to wear them to exist into the game and set. Wearing them will just add how they actually perceive the set as the city of Rong Cheng. Or like with episode 3 being able to see the ghosts. It can be confusing I guess bc the drama showed the vr glasses in ep1 and then never shows them again but I think it's bc it left it to viewers' understanding that the glasses are not needed to exist and move inside the game set.

This drama has so many scenes that I have really loved how they were shot.
Currently the one I can't get out of my head is on ep17, the moment the ost song "I wish for you" by Sunkis played during the night convo in front of the coffee shop. I just loved how that whole scene was captured on camera, the angles, the acting, the way that song fit that moment. And when the sprinkles opened and it washed away the mirrored image of the leads on the water surface.. Cinema 👌
