There's fault at your logic. You're completely misunderastanding human psychology as to why someone will leave thinking it's the better decision on not wanting anyone else to get hurt bc of them. Like what kind of logic are you using when you're saying, he's TOO wiling to die as a negative thing?? Yes he is bc he's not a selfish person and he feels like he's the reason others might get hurt and even though he listens to them and tries to HOPE that they can all fight through the situation, it's still too difficult seeing the pople he loves being in danger bc of him. Self sacrifice is not "too suicidal", it's being unable to withstand seeing people get hurt and thinking the only way it would stop is by going at the front and standing yourself in front of the danger. That is Khem's motive when he steps out of the ring. Actually it wouldn't make sense if he stayed IN the ring. It would be like "how are you letting everyone else die just to save your ass" which is literally Khem's prevalent thought at that thought. He is "Peem has sacrificed so many things already, I can't let him die bc of me".

I think this series has one of the best portrayals of a romantic relationship. With the acting and post production choices, I think the couple showed what it feels to be in love with a soul mate which btw is a rare thing. Kudos to everyone esp the Keng Namping pairing. The face and body acting of being in love with someone was impeccable.

It's not lack of backbone. He was trying to persevere for so many years, with his mom dead and only being chased and traumatized by ghosts and incidents constantly trying to attack him. Jet was helping as his only friend but I want to see if you were put into the shoes of this character's back story if you could do better. You think you would but until you experience really traumatic shit you can't really know. Also there's the fear of someone else dying bc of his karmic curse which is what incites the running away and maybe being tired of trying to outrun something that seems unavoidable. I'm explaining my own perspective on the character bc I felt your take lacked a bit of empathy.

Yes! I also have all the songs on their own Spotify Playlist. That's how much I liked them. Tbh a show needs good music and good ost songs that will drive the plot forward and they can add more value to the emotions shown on each scene. By the way I agree with the I wish for you, it's a shame it's only on YouTube and I can't enjoy this with the others on Spotify. lol

I'm rewatching it and dear God ALL romance dramas need to hire the music director of this show bc the OST songs were pretty incredible. I can't think of any other modern romance drama I've watched this year whose ost songs weren't at best mid. LBL really did the damn thing on all fronts!!

As someone that has lost my father from cancer that whole plot with what Wan has gone through as a child and 18yo with such a shitty mother.. I'm just annoyed. Also annoyed for the male lead 's past. We're talking 2 extremely traumatizing childhoods that would normally need a long period of therapy to help them overcome it as adults. sigh

On ep 16 and that birth mother is just such an evil person. E V I L. The woman doesn't deserve a good day in her life. Smh

Tbh the ones you mentioned even as the most popular they didn't impress me much with some aspects that's why I recommended the 2 dramas that I actually really liked. On another note if you like historical ones, try out The Guardians (2025) which is a Republican one and its so far the one cdrama that has impressed me the most with everything, directing, plot, acting and editing.

There are a lot of good modern cdramas. I think you're in for a treat If you try them. Meet Yourself with Yifei is one of them, it was added on Netflix 2 weeks ago and it was really wholesome and Love Between Lines that was earley this year was super buzzy.

I'll be honest. I personally still find her acting lacking here. A lot of her really deep emotional scenes didn't hit that much for me. I'm not saying she did bad, it's just I didn't feel that immersed in some moments. Zhou Keyu visibly had better immersion in his character with more facial expression than Bao Shangen. However if they're both improving from their past performances good for them! It shows they have the right mindset for this profession.

One thing's for sure up until ep 14. Zhou Keyu is ACTING. I'm impressed. Good for him, I didn't know he could showcase a role so well. His future is bright.

I really love the Sunburn Ost song. Up until ep 13 they have played it 3 or 4 times. Its really a perfect song for the heartbreaking moments. I don't really like the other ost songs but with this one they really made a great choice! It adds so much emotional value to all the scenes they've used it! 10/10 song

By the way, sometimes I will start a costume drama but some of the acting will feel flat so I then go and re-watch Yuxiao in MJTY so that I get reminded how it is to be mesmerized by an actress's delivery of a character. lol

I love her so much! I've watched countless movies and shows (Asian ones and just as many or even more non Asian ones) but I've never cared for an actor on a deeper level but something about Yuxiao turned me into a fan the moment I discovered her as an actress and as a person. She is talent and light, I'm really excited for her upcoming projects and I can't wait to see even more people fall in love with our girl and become her fans.
