Well yes, the last episodes was meh. Ming Lou and Ming Cheng was so smart but ended up doing such stupid mistakes…
"Ming Tai was a boring stupid character" LOL savage. I like you.

Yes, I totally ship Man Chun with Ming Lou. I wasn't able to ship Ming Tai with any of the ladies, be it Yu Man Li or Cheng Jinyun despite the writing making him as the main male lead with a female harem. I just generally like Yu Man Li because she deserves a better man and is overall a nice person. When she fell from the wall and got shot and died, I felt a lot for her.

I also felt a lot for Ming Lou when he stared at Man Chun's dead body. I agreed that they added that scene. Because I am just such a meticulous person in real life so when I watch dramas, I nitpick, and I cannot stand this coz it's always there in the back of my mind that they had not retrieved that recorder yet. It was too much of a panicking and thrilling situation like hurry up, guys! but then I'd forgive them if they came back later (after the fire) to find it but Ah Cheng didn't go back. I assumed flour (in the air) exploded very well; any dusty materials like in a deep underground mine when catches flame will explode very deadly and can kill people in close contact (those lackeys did die), but in this case, by the amount of flour he used, the way I look at it, I thought for sure it will not burn everything to ashes. What if that recorder was under something and got covered well? Even if there was a 0.000001 possibility that the recorder didn't burn, Ah Cheng should've gone back to have a look and to get it.

I'm also confused as to how Gao Mu's fiancée was able to get her hand on the recorder. She didn't say much but just said she got it because of Gaomu (Takagi) and Man Chun had made an arrangement prior in case they die or something. The two tapes from both Lone Wolf and Gao Mu's fiancée are identical. The length of the recording from the fiancée's tape is also ended at exactly the same point like in Lone Wolf's recording tape. The sound from both tapes are also ruined and unclear coz it got burned, making them identical. So that means there's only one recording which is only from that factory. The fiancée's tape could be a copy of that original tape. Lone wolf was the only one who went inside that burned factory to get the recorder alone. I'm so curious how did Gao Mu's fiancée get that tape. However, there was no sign of Lone Wolf and the fiancée working together.

Teng Tian Fang Zheng later executed that fiancée, so it looks like he wasn't working with her either.

A new day, a new comment. Here's what the writer wants from Meng Tai: he's only human, training is like school, when you get out into society there's no guarantee that you will 100% succeed. When you are number one at training when you go on your missions you have to have flaws otherwise it's not believable. Human makes mistakes. When he goes on missions he fcks up 9/10 times but that's ok. One guy died because of him but that's ok. Wearing personal items such as a watch on missions it's ok.

sorry to shout with caplock but have to get this out of my chest:
MENG LOU STARES FOR A SOLID 20 SECONDS AT WANG MAN CHUN'S DEAD BODY INSTEAD OF HURRYING UP TO FIND THE RECORDING MACHINE AND HURRY THE F**K OUT OFF THAT FLOUR FACTORY BUILDING. He priorly set her up to be in jail waiting to be executed to her death anyway! Now suddenly he has a heart. I get it. Sort of feel for him that he sees her dying he probably feels guilty after all they were together once. I like the explosion but writer just makes Wang Kai look cool for doing that. NOBODY seems to care about the recording machine afterward and they just go on about their days like not a care in the world. This is the most irritating thing I find in this entire drama. The second one would be all of Meng Tai's failed missions and he still acts cocky. The third would be the writer just casually added in two policemen when Meng Cheng shot Lone Wolf in the street. Like it IS such a coincidental time for the polices to be guarding that street in that hour on that day. I still like Ming Cheng very much even if he did the mistakes coz he also did a lot of tasks for Ming Lou too, but I CAN'T forgive Ming Tai, especially that ugly crying in the end.

how long have you finished this drama? recently watched?

LET's get this straight:

Mistakes after mistakes; " It's a good show", but this show builds or develops their plots on the basis of a heavy dose of mistakes instead of trying to balance the mistakes by adding more substance to the plot. Meaning the mistakes leads to another and another, but at one point, everyone just keeps trying to evade the bad guys and it goes on and on. A chess game. Tryna get out of a corner.

Why the ending/Why big sister died:
1. Minglou's fault: That ending, he waited too long, should've left Shanghai earlier, (could say selfish), but he is the most likeable one of the bunch coz he's smart.

2. MingCheng's fault:
2.1 picked up Ming Tai's watch.
2.2 cool flour explosion but not a clean job didn't fcking go look for the recording after the fire. (could say sloppy). After explosion, how the fck did everybody just forget that? They need someone meticulous in the casts. The writer forgot to add that role.
2.3 Then he shot Lone Wolf right in front of polices which is their biggest and final ruin.

3. MingTai's fault:
3.1 Ming tai = terrible spy, bad character development..he didn't mature as a spy at all, wanted to quit watching many times because of this lol. Everyone is a fck up that makes Ming Lou's spy game extremely tougher (oh my poor Ming Lou). You may call his characteristics as human, makes mistakes, but he's a proclaimed number one ranking spy but every mission he get his ass saved every time. The plot armour is real in this one. Running thru grenades did not die. Probably is the most irritating character in this drama. You may ask yourself why hate the male lead if he is a hero or your male lead that is given to you, imprinted into ur brain by the drama's production. You end up liking minor supporting characters more than him.

~ Still a 8.0 rating from me coz the start was not great, the middle was great, the ending was almost bad.

It went like this:
1-10 episodes= some say boring but I say "character introduction" takes time so it is fine for me but not exciting but kinda dragging a little bit with the Man-Li and Ming Tai's romance.
14-44 episodes = exciting to watch.
45-48 episodes = could have a better intriguing plans, tactics and manoeuvres to deal with Teng Tian Fang Zheng. (I have no bias for big sister. If she die or not, it doesn't matter coz it is understandable to have casualties on the protagonists' side too if the antagonists' side keeps getting killed, but that ending could have been more exciting and not all melo).

haha we've been melo-ed enough with all the melo violins playing in the BGM.

In term of contemporary films, I usually only watch Japanese movies, so I look forward to more Japanese actors starring in China's films and TV series. I especially want the TV series with Japanese stars in China but I don't know if there are any or a lot of Japanese actors that can speak Madarin.
I don't know how they will handle the language part coz I hate dubbing with S.Korean stars.
In this film, It looks like Shota uses his own voice (from the sound of it). I don't even know what his voice sounds like, but in the trailer, he sounds like himself. So there's hope it can get into film festivals for awards.

Well. . . that's really embarrassing for the Chinese stars. It's the greedy CEOs, and like @Amaury1514 said, some old guys in the managements, dramatic.
Old_Anime_Lady Oct 26, 2017
find that most stalker guides for Japanese actors don't yield a lot of comments. Even the older ones unlike that/other country's actors.
feel bad, man, they don't receive lots of love. :(
