sorry I like this show but first episode in, she hits a few colleagues (coz they're below her in rank whatever, k-culture, workplace-culture, I get it) after talking about that trans-woman getting hit by her family. LOL ain't that a bit hypocritical? still hit them. and In the bar, she uses a glass (contain straws) but is still a glass-object (it breaks) to hit the male lead on the back of his neck to stop him from hitting a mentally ill guy. He's on the floor. Luckily, as plot has it, he gets up on his feet right away, curses her, and chases after her. She is some sort of a doctor, a psychiatrist, but she'd smash sth-glass onto another person like *that*. On the head too. In panic really? Doesn't she have some sort of rule of conduct for medical practitioner/ or self-restraints? Don't quote me on "medical practitioner" coz I'm not sure if "psychiatrist" falls under that term. The white coat she wears, at least give medicines to her patients not just advice. I know it's NOT like "doctors" or general practitioner. but damn, a glass to a head= bleed. Even if just saw the guy once, hated him, not a strong hate at all, more like a dislike. A Normal woman would not aim for the head or even do this. So a psychiatrist would? I'd call it "plot-convenience" for the boy to have something to interact with the girl later, or just call it "general k-dramas". Too often seeing rush things like this.
Doubt even need a spoiler tag here, it's first episode's information. Forgive me.
seriously sometimes I think as a smart spy as Chen Shen is, he can
he can trick San Xing by a telephone call with bi cheng in ep45. Then last time the bomb in his house: he came home, didn't notice anything at all until Li Xiao Nan showed up . How convenience it is that he just so happened to notice traces of a home intruder at the exact time Xiao Nan lift up the water bottle with bomb. It's like the plot makes him smart at the time that they (writer) want him to be smart.
Why Zhong Liang changed 360 degree to Chen Shen's side on EP44&45. Either it is Chen Shen successfully brainwashed him, got him wrapped around his fingers, or he just . . . really wanna get rid of San Xing (but he doesn't seem to hate San Xing that much). He even instructed Chen Shen to "hide Xu Bi Cheng well, don't let anybody find her" as he said. I just had to come here and comment that after he said that. He became Chen's puppet. His behaviour and action now are plausible for his character. so yep. but this change is quite weirding me out.
EP43: San Xing, u so fcking good, I fcking luv a capable villain! I Wish to be on ur side coz u'r winning them main leads. Sometimes I think Shan Hai is always having his ass saved by Chen Shen. Now he's really doomed. - -- - IT can't be only me who would "sometimes" cringe at Dong Yu's acting as Xu Bi Cheng ? I watched and like Dong Yu in Hawthorn Tree and the Palace. I've always thought her acting is "good". I didn't watch her movie with Ma Sandra and the new movie with Jing Boran, which were all acclaimed and she got awards. They say she's an "excellent" actress. Maybe this Xu Bi Cheng role just isn't cut out for her. Honestly, I don't see what Shan Hai and Chen Shen like in her. What is her undeniable quality to attract "two" males? - -- - - other smaller supporting roles from Xiao Nan to San Xing are believable good actors. Tang Shan Hai's actor impressed me the most. His acting always "deliver". When he hugged Bi Cheng in this episode: OMG Cringe (because of her acting). Actually, his acting saved her acting a slight bit. In fact, when Chen Shen hugged her and kissed her too. I cringed. Not Only because I don't ship Chen and Bi Cheng, but they just don't match. ------ male lead Li Yi Feng's acting is alright here. He got criticised by other commenters saying he is "under-emoting". I saw that too when he drove the jeep chasing after Meina and ShanHai. His facial expression was "boring" when he should convey "I am rushing". But the point is he is the main lead and able to carry a drama on his shoulder. It is a must for a main lead. He didn't fail. His acting as Chen Shen is like a 75% "pass". He got 25% dragged down by Zhou Dong Yu.
two gold bars (from the nationalist): given to San Xing by Shan Hai. Taken back from Secretary Qian. Then San Xing give it back to someone else. LOL This show! why always TWO? - - - -EP43 : silly Zheng Su guy tryna protect his lil son then died of a bullet instead. If I knew San Xing was gonna be assassinated, I'd be no where near him/ near the gun shooting. LOL this dramaland afterall, didn't you see a small role spy guy got pushed by Tang Shan Hai to block a bullet for Bi Zhong Liang before? Lesson learnt: Do not ever stay near shooting place or near the person to be shot. I actually dropped this drama for 6 days straight coz I couldn't handle all the snakes in this show. Everybody's a snake. Now Zhong Liang wanna get rid of San Xing by using another snaky underhand methods again. My gosh, my headache, this drama is so good.
Can someone explain to me why there are always comments like "although PSJ is not the best looking among k-actors", something like that, etc. Their standard is way higher than mine. Who are the best looking among k-actors then? I first think he looks like David So, but that is just there are so many korean guys that I think look like a thinner David So. I can't unsee it sometimes in many guys. There are even ppl who say he doesn't look like the secretary kim webtoon's CEO's face, but who look like a MANGA guy's face? It's a drawing! Isn't that just a foolish expectation?
I never had a second female lead syndrome before, ever. Love Xiao Nan so much! I like Tang Shan hai too, so i guess i'm having both male and female lead syndrome all in one go, viewing this drama. It sucks I saw the ending theme song and saw Shan Hai was being dragged out with a smile on his face by some men. I had guessed long ago that it's unlikely for Shan Hai to have a "alive" happy ending. Sometimes, you don't need him to end up married with a female to call it a happy ending. Sometimes, just being able to be alive for a character is already enough as a happy ending for them. Now, I see that Xiao Nan is joining the spying with Chen Shen and even leaves an evidence (a gray knitting thread ball) that could be traced back to her. Fck! A giant F*CK! What did we learn from Tang Shan Hai and Meina's ending before? Why Chen Shen gotta repeat this mistake with Xiao Nan too!!! Now , Li Xiao Nan is gonna have a Liu Meina's ending too. A recycle ending. Why writers have to make us hate the male and female lead so much? IF Chen Shen and Xu Bi Cheng ever get together in the end, their happy ending won't be celebrated by me. That's all. Nothing personal.
None of my text is an obvious spoiler but guesses. Let's hope all of my guesses aint true. But it's going in that direction, the sad chinese drama style.
- Seriously, ep 43!!!! Chen shen doesn't deserve li Xiao Nan. Ughhhhh, why bae Su San Xing has to be so bad? They made him a creep. He's just such a babe with his slick hairstyle. - yes i was aboard xiao nan and chen shen's ship this whole time (Can you blame me? if the female lead is so incompetent!) but boy Chen Shen is such a communist. I forgot he is a communist. He chose Bi Cheng in the end (the playing the harmonica in the church scene). My fcking heartu! His style of speaking is way communist style and his thinking too. Lucky for Xiao Nan, then, she has dodged a bullet. Any woman is lucky to dodge a Chen Shen.
- I never had a second female lead syndrome before, ever. Xiao Nan deserve a better man. She is a character that I like the most in this drama to the point that I sort of became delusional with her too. I thought she had to win him no matter what. I wanted her to have him in the end even if he doesn't love her back. I love Xiao Nan's personality and that she doesn't give up and still fight for him; she totally is smart and not naive as we all know so I think she did intentionally trick Bi Cheng into pitying her (when she got stabbed and Bi Cheng treated her wound and then asked Chen Shen to marry Xiao nan). I had a yandere way of thinking for a while, then I woke up. I see that "who give a fck" if Bi Cheng and Chen Shen want to be together. LET's the cows be together (don't wanna call them cows but seriously hate them two). There are BETTER fishes in the sea. Maybe not Su San Xing.
- can't digest their kiss in ep 41 nor see any chemistry between li yi feng and Dong Yu (Chen Shen and female lead Xu bi cheng) - laughed at the bowl with Xiao nan's blood that Chen Shen was holding when he was hugged from behind by Bi Cheng. I have to say Chinese a metaphorical scene like this is way not my cup of tea. It just came off laughable.
yazzzzz, Li Qin as main role, probably not the main main chick, so I'd prolly dislike that lin yun girl . never like her movies anyway. I mean if she's a mary sue here, if not I'll like her. can Li Qin not be a "evilly liking male lead" type of role. lets pray.
