As someone who has dropped Cdramas a lot, I could understand your feelings. The usual length of Cdramas over 50…
If by any chance u have seen Tientsin Mystic what do u think of its female lead? Coz when u said "Cliffhanger ending" + "sacrificing female" makes me thought up of that drama. It's one of my fav this year, but I can't watch it again if the stereotype is real. Just makes it hard to watch. Feel a little bit essshhhhh. I like the story but why make A character like this! Can't describe it in words. Some said LoveO2O's female lead got no goal after landing in a relationship/a more successful guy. But I don't "Luvvvvv" that drama so don't care= meh.
I marathoned princess agent. Seriously, it wouldn't even be good if it had a happy ending. ZYL's xinger is not that strong IMO. I find it hard to like her. Of course, your cup not my cup of tea. So I agree with that person up there, it depends on whoever watch a drama. period. I used to think dramas from a particular country outclassed other countries', ratio-wise, statistics-wise, annually they come out better, etc. until I saw their bad ones. Maybe at that point in time, I was into psychological or one genre that they do really well. My taste changed like crazy. Last year 2017 I can't believe I liked what I liked. Maybe in the future I'll find what I watch now ridiculous. Maybe you too later on. 5 yrs from now come back n watch PA and say u like it as much or not. All k-drama, j, c dramas have all of those same formula. Nowadays, I just pick better actors to watch, so I ended up avoiding many of the bad dramas from all three countries.

have a nice day :)

I finished this in one night. Bad tho that i had to sleep in the day to get back my sleep. LOL and Xiong Zi Qi has a very natural face in his talk show interview. He's not plastic. I like his type of face.

Title Tientsin Mystic Spoiler
hi, did u download from the last link, dostforu.blogspot? is it safe?
sorry for a late reply. I plan to see it again soon as I had seen it unsub previously. When I saw it, I watched this youtube vid and this director gave a quick review of it that I don't agree about: https://youtu.be/vnjrIOiW4-4?t=6m54s
He said the characters aren't distinguishable. I thought he was disdaining/salty. I didn't agree when I was watching it, but after I finished it, I still think those characters are all very different (you can tell them all apart). However, I certainly feel that female lead's character is a bit off toward the end. It's like she exists for only loving him.
C-drama watchers on a chat/forum are also discussing this "common female roles/no ambition after landing on a relationship/exist to love male lead" type of roles. They were talking about Wei Wei from Love O2O.
It got me thinking hey it's like this girl too (female lead of Tientsin Mystic). She's not on the cast list up there. Why? I love her actress. She's so pretty. One of the young faces that I like. Young actresses nowadays are too plastic, but she is just naturally likeable. I like her as much as I like Eternal Love's Liang Jie. She's also not in a lot of TV. I really wanna see more of her. How come she landed a leading role on a famous web drama and doesn't get more work? Coz I think Li Xian is working hard. LOL I see him here and there all the time. Anyway, her role is. . . . . good. . . but I expected more from her at the end. I know she loves Guo De You, but till the end it's still like "that" almost to the point that I can see viewers might think she's annoying. She's very likeable in the beginning and the middle. And because I like her so much that I still will like her when she becomes (stupid/silly) annoying for love.

And of course I love Xiao Lan Lan's pair. I was waiting for it to happen, but it could've gone "happen" or "not happen".
You see . . . . Ding Mao is so fcking subtle, and Lan Lan doesn't show much interest in him in a romantic way; but you can see the possibility there, the chemistry, or maybe my hope is so up, and that's why it's a not-so-360 degree turn when they suddenly wanted to date; but still 180 degree coz it makes me aware of this near ending rush. It's like gradually in a friendship then hey pause the plot, let's date!
It's like "hey guys it's near the ending soon, so let push the romance on both pairs forward. Let's get this done". Suddenly it's time to develop that. I didn't feel so much so on Xiao Lan Lan's pair but on the main pair it feels like they're rushing it. Or maybe it's just kicking in and i'm just too overly aware of this.

So it's like 3/4 is the story/plot, then pause for the romance, then 1/4 is the climax/finale.
I don't know if this directing is suitable/effective.
We got a cliff hanger at the end.
If that ending were meant to be like that, and they did not rush the romance+ plot, then okay fine; but I just can't help but think they ran out of budget and rush the romance. The romance is always there with both pairs, underlaying, then pops up. Cool. Never seen this kind of directing before. Cool to see sth new coz usually most dramas mix the romance into the story very evenly, not so separate like this one. But is this one effective?

That director in the link above, I don't get his point. If this drama had a problem, it would be yes character development, but nope not that they're not distinguishable. The drama also has a problem with plot development. The story is so good, like goooood cool and unique, and 3/4 of this drama develops goooood too, but the last 1/4 is not so good. . . . . . . ok if it developed good, we wouldn't see a girl getting stabbed, sacrifice herself for a guy then a cliff hanger.
ALSO I really hate near ending climax = we never get more characters bonding time (if it's a happy ending) because it has to end soon after the climax; and the worst is we get a cliff hanger.

Same thing I was also thinking about!
hands with gloves touch the camera then touch the corpse then touch the camera again. That's what I meant. haha but it's just me being picky. I tell myself this all the time.
