I'm a user at MyAnimeList and they have a rule where you can only submit a review after you've watched a certain amount of episodes, depending on the anime's episode length. For example, an anime that is 13 episodes long you will need to watch at least 4 to submit a review. Of course, this doesn't solve the problem because people can just fake it and pretend they've seen the amount, but it's better than allowing people to review something off 1 episode off the bat. Also, this way it's easier to filter and report when there's a rule in place. Maybe MDL can implement this rule? I don't know if they have one in place already but I don't see that mentioned in the guidelines.

I usually like to wait until completion before I put a review as well, but for some reason, at EP 7, I got the feeling this series was going to remain average so my rating 8/10 will not change. I like it, it's cute, but that's it.

Ah thanks for your input. I was just thinking using odd editing and having the guy repeat "yo yo" over and over again was tasteless. But yes, I can understand it could have been funny to others.

No, I don't feel bad about what you said, I was just lost on where all of your frustration is coming from, especially when you're directing at this comment section specifically like we did all of the things you mentioned, when clearly, most of the comments here have not even so much as talked about BrightWin's personal lives. Furthermore, if that was your point, then please put that in your original comment, because right now, you've only mentioned MDL's comment section. That makes it confusing.

Otherwise, yes, I don't agree either with the fans who take every moment of BrightWin's and infer that into some fantasy that they're dating, then get mad at the people in their lives. That is definitely crossing the line. That's a no no thing to do.

Same. I haven't seen any comments hating on Bright/Win's personal lives. I have heard twitter has been a mess though. But that's twitter, not MDL. I'm genuinely lost lol I can feel all the frustration in the comment but I think it's been directed at the wrong comment section.

I've seen a video of Win and this other dude auditioning (not sure though but they were talking like they were being interviewed and asked their opinions on BL relationships) for a BL role. I think there's a chance Win will star in another BL series since he has a past of being interested in such roles. But then again, he's pretty popular now. He will probably have more options to choose from and they won't necessarily be BL.

I mean, as far as I know, people are allowed to change their minds and feelings, based on what they see. If they saw something disappointing, then why not express it. Overall, many people still agree that this series started out great. Idk why it's so weird to you. Seems like a pretty normal thing to do. You spend 5 months online chatting with this sweet guy, last minute you find out he's been in jail 10 times, of course you change your mind and stop liking him. Same concept with watching something and changing your mind about it after certain aspects of it doesn't turn out as good as hoped.

Yeah I think that too, but mainly cuz Bright felt like his life (personality, sports, music) matched with Wat more than Tine.

Don't know the details about when the director/staff decided to switch, but Bright has said in interviews that he requested the change.

Okay since we're ripping this series to shreds anyway, I have a small question. Y'all remember that one scene in the earlier episodes when Tine went to get Wat's phone fixed and the dude working there was going all "yo yo"?? The editing was weird and the dude made no sense.....what was that all about? Was it supposed to be comedic? I didn't laugh.

You know what was refreshing in EP 12? When Tine hung with all 3 of this friends at the food stand. That was probably one of the best things about EP 12, for me at least.

I guess not in Thailand, since tons of their BL series and normal series (too? I haven't seen too many) have product placement. Some less subtle than others, but product placement nonetheless. And yeah, agree that doesn't mean it's alright. Frankly some of the products they're trying to sell are weird. But it really does all come down to profit.

......uhmmm, you didn't address the fact that personal insults were thrown? Unless, you're the type to like insulting people because they have a different opinion? If so, then yikes.. Same. When Pam appeared I just thought, damn, feel bad for her. Her situation is actually relatable. Not knowing what you have until it's too late. But yeah, I'm not mad she wants to get things back, I just feel bad she realized too late.

Yeah just wait. I think with the 7 day wait between each episode can also hinder the enjoyment, if you had any. Waiting to watch it all the way through to the end will probably be better.

The only toxic fans I've seen are the ones defending this series like no tomorrow. They've called people names (i.e. rats), insulted people's intelligence (i.e., faulty perspective), and insulted their personal lives (i.e., hopeless romantics who have been mind fucked). So far, lots of fans with real criticism has not stooped as low as to insult people personally. You "true fans" on the other hand have done much more. So.....who are the "toxic" fans here? I'll let you take a guess.

Because those product placements partially make these shows, why would anyone gripe about that? Take away the sponsors, have no show.

While I agree that complaining over late subs is stupid, cuz years ago fans would have needed to wait days or weeks, but now they're so privileged they think subs coming out half an hour late is gonna kill them. BUT that's it. Everything else you said completely ignores that what many fans in MDL have been saying is expressing disappointment by criticizism, not plain hate with no reason. Generalizing off skimming a few comments to say people are being "toxic". It's better to actually read them even if you disagree, than to make baseless generalizations.
