I'm confused with the ending......can anyone explain what happened in the end?Ahn Joon Ho runs away without following…
I think the mid-credit scene was some kind of tribute to the real shooting that happened in 2014 (Hence the drama was set in that year). What he did was also to attract the media since the upper officials always turned a blind eye at the perpetrator and put the blame on the victim.
βI think I'll be camping on the comment section until the drama is on episode 7/8 to decide whether to watch it or not. I want to see how this drama progressing, because it has the potential love triangle which I'm personally not fond of.
Siblings trio + mysterious stranger, I guess this would be My Mister but with romance? If so, hopefully the romance would be subtle and they would focus more on the slice of life aspect. What I like the most about the writer's work is that her slice of life aspect has this gloomy and sombre tone rather than a heartwarming one. All in all, I'm rooting for this drama!
Finally, not another K-drama where the characters, regardless the economic background, are using the latest Samsung S series lol
In a more serious note though, most of Netflix-produced K-dramas are interesting and different with such idealistic execution. Also the fact that romance genre being almost non-existent from the 2021's Netflix K-drama list, it's actually a plus for me.
The BIGGEST PROBLEM that people are not seeing with this drama is that characters like pje doesn't change that…
Let me frustrate you more, there are actually a lot of people who considered Nabi ended up with Jaeon as her choosing herself because she chose what she desired. I mean that's not the concept of choosing yourself π
After episode 9, there is no way that Nabi would want to get back with Jaeon. The writer (or whoever responsible) clearly forced their desires to Nabi, instead of letting Nabi decided things as her own character. Also, who tf hijacked JTBC? It doesn't feel like them. They mostly end their dramas in a rational way. Even on their recent drama "Monthly House Magazine", they literally made the main couple breaking up because each of them pursued their own purpose. So, why they ended this drama in such cliche way?
I don't know if it's because the love triangle was done well or because people who watched this were more mature, either way or both, I'm just so happy to see people cheering up for the last episode, no ridiculous war zone or irrelevant hate on the drama. Kudos everyone π
Firstly, the incident is not over one image. Also, it's true that the fact that this came out at such a time is…
Disclaimer : I got all the informations from my Chinese friend who is neither a fan nor a hater.
I think ZZH has always been rather problematic. People did criticize him, but he was still "nobody" back then so people let him got away. Besides his scandals regarding Japan, he got other scandals too. One of the infamous one is him publicly defending an actor who was exposed as a domestic abuser. This is why there are actually many women that feel offended with his fans calling him "Lao Po".
Basically, ZZH already had negative sentiment from public way before he got into fame with WoH. I guess this would be one of the reasons why he barely got recognition even after building his career for years. Therefore, what just happened is actually something that will be coming for him eventually.
It's known that his Chinese fans turned a blind eye and tried to cover his problematic deeds so his International fans wouldn't know. His recent controversy was started with the rumor of him being engaged. Believe it or not, some of his fans were bitter towards the rumor that they became the ones who started to resurface his past photos in Japan which led to his downfall.
ZZH is said to be in the circle of Al*b*b* which is really powerful there. That's why, if it's some antis, it actually could be dealt easily. Since his controversy angered the public in general, nothing could be done.
I just want to give a huge hug to Shin Woo right now. All of this pining and love that he has for Tae Kyung and…
I feel like Taekyung actually has a feeling for Shinwoo, but at times Shinwoo's insecurities got the best of him? Sometimes when you like someone and you feel insecure, you tend to overlook the good things. Taekyung is clearly sending signals, but oftentimes they are overshadowed by Shinwoo's worry towards Taekyung-Daon's relationship. I think the episode was directed in a way that we saw things on Shinwoo's perspective. That's why it felt rather frustrating even though the hints of Taekyung's feeling towards Shinwoo were everywhere.
I don't know if it's intentional, but I actually like that they put viewers in SW's perspective for this episode. The hints of TK's feelings towards SW are everywhere and pretty obvious, yet people still got frustrated. I mean TK and DO's interactions in this episode clearly mean nothing special.
At this point, Iβm assuming people just like JE because of Song Kang. SK is lucky heβs cute because if it…
It's true though. I stumbled upon a lot of Jaeon's apologists that ended their arguments with something like, "Song Kang was already a sad boy in Love Alarm. I won't him be a sadboy in Nevertheless too." I mean, is that what matters the most to them? Poor Nabi, being slandered by people and now they treat her like some romantic accessory lol
My take on this issue is that he might have always been quite problematic. I assume people letting him got away because he wasn't that popular back then. Once he's on the fame, people no longer tolerate it. If I'm not mistaken, this issue started with his engagement rumor then it spread to other things leading back to his controversial photos.
Since Jaeon's actions towards Nabi have always been creeping me out (even getting worse in the last few episodes), his ultimate melodramatic confession literally did nothing to me lol
My country was affected by Japanese colonialism but I visited one of the shrines (Yasukuni) in this situation…
I think what he did wasn't something out of naivety or carelessness. Because there were actually quite a lot of his posts that could be very insensitive and enraging to Chinese netizen. If it's only once or twice, it could be people overreacting but more than that? I don't think so. I don't know exactly what his intentions are, but it made him look rather problematic. Looking back at his (repeated) past actions, what just happened is something that will be coming for him eventually.
I personally on the neutral side. However, I found out that long before the "Nazi pose" incident, he was publicly defending an actor who was exposed as a domestic abuser. What made me even uncomfortable is that some fans who knew about this tried to sweep it under the rug. He might not be an abuser, but him defending one doesn't sit right with me :(
Shinwoo and Taekyung's interactions are awkward and adorable and foolish and sweet. Gosh I might explode for how cute they are π I kinda feel guilty though, I once thought that they would secretly have a hot make out session in the student council's room. Guess I've read too many 18+ enemies to lovers tropes π
Jaeon's behaviours got more disturbing each episode. He reminds me of that psychotic and obsessive lover from a cheap Hollywood's erotic thriller. Rather than looking like he started to develop real feelings towards Nabi, it seemed like he wanted to keep Nabi on his grip until he no longer interested with her. Even though Nabi is dumb, at least she tried to run away, but Jaeon kept chasing her everywhere. Damn, this drama could add 'thriller' as one of the sub-genre at this point.
I'm actually grateful that I watched The Untamed without following the production since day 1. I think I can't handle reading people complain about things like : "Why WWX doesn't have the bangs and the ponytail?", "Why LWJ shorter than him?", "Why the drama is low budget even though MDZS is super popular?" or any other Why regarding the things that didn't meet people's expectations. I'm not against people complaining about TGCF LA, but sometimes I feel it's a bit too much since it's only a week. Not to mention some people literally making me (or maybe others) like I'm wrong or even a hypocrite just because I didn't complain about anything. I guess I'll just wait for the drama to come. All I want to do is just hyping up and being excited about the drama, but I ended up getting mentally exhausted.
Produced by Netflix : Move to Heaven, Extracurriculars, Alice in Borderland, D. P., The Squid Game
Broadcasted by Netflix : Navillera (tvn), The Uncanny Counter (ocn), Run On (jtbc), Hometown Chachacha (tvn)

I mean it's a good thing to see from both sides.
