I guess they won't. Because it will be contradicting to what they say about the drama being hyper-realistic.
I still have hope though. I think this is one of the few cases where the producers don't give a fuck about the audiences by letting the director and the screenwriter do as they pleased. Besides, JTBC has been idealistic with some of their dramas. For example, Be Melodramatic only got 1% ratings but they stick to the original idea til the end. It also had 16 episodes compared to 10 episodes of Nevertheless. Well, if this is from TVN I'll be worried, but this is JTBC. They actually have balls to go bold.

@yzhn13 KBS2 seem to have really been on a “hit or miss “ slope over the past year or so. I do understand…
Bestie, this one is airing on KBS2 not TVN😂. But I do agree TVN can be a hit or miss. Not to mention their love for bermuda triangle. However, if this one is airing on TVN I think it would be better than KBS2. I mean they already have a lesbian main character on "Mine" and most of their slice of life are actually great and don't hesitate to go realistic and dark.

Well said. I understand it's annoying to have people come in here bashing the drama every week for the lack of…
They could've just upgraded a mediocre and cliche webtoon, but they chose to downgrade a heavy and complex one instead.

I think the scene at the end showed how much he is not healed by love. Sobin will only probably be the first person…
Jun falling in love actually isn't realistic. He's a victim of family abuse. He got a lot of traumas and demons that turn him into a sociopath. The webtoon isn't a heartwarming one, so the resolution won't be as easy as found family. It's very dark that the most possible and rational ending for Jun would be : 1. He goes to therapy, 2. He spends some times in mental ward, or 3. He commits suicide. I think the production team are just really confused on how to properly adapt the original plot. In the drama, they introduce Jun as if they will follow the webtoon, but as the story progress it feels like Jun is just an angsty youth with some issues and identity crisis.

If the writers try to sabotage this by shoe-horning in some hilariously unrealistic and incredibly contrived 'redemption-arc'…
I guess they won't. Because it will be contradicting to what they say about the drama being hyper-realistic.

In webtoon, can someone tell me who is the love interest of Nam Soo Hyun coz I really ship him with the girl with…
It's Junhwan (Joon's brother) because Soohyun is actually gay.

I came here for the bromance all i got was two scenes every episodes and the whole hour about forced romantic…
Because there's nothing else they can do to emphasize Sobin as a main character without pulling a forced and cliche love story and ripping off Soohyun's moments with Jun for her.

You're not alone. Sol was just being polite to him. Her expression literally didn't show any romantic interest…
I'm actually on a neutral side, so I'm okay with either straight or gay couple. The thing is some people are just being denial. I mean if Sol was a guy, I believe those people will hype up Jiwan and Sol to be the endgame and care less about their conflicts.

Am i the only one who think sol isn't interested in that guy ? Whole time she kept bringing her bestfriend in…
You're not alone. Sol was just being polite to him. Her expression literally didn't show any romantic interest towards him. Even their scenes together were not directed to give off romantic vibes, but to lead people into thinking that they are a potential couple. Sometimes I see people with a logic that when there's a pair and if one of them is (romantically) interested with the other then it means that both are automatically interested with each other. I guess this is because they ship the pair from the start, so these people are projecting their own desires regardless the real situation.

I managed to find a chinese translated version of the webtoon so I'm gonna skim through it but it's quite long…
They were obsessed towards each others in such an intense and ambiguous way. Sometimes, they also acted like a couple (Hence, the webtoon garnered criticism for queerbaiting). Soohyun actually dating Junhwan (Joon's brother) though. Since the webtoon isn't finished yet, Soohyun and Joon are in the situation where they haven't figured how they truly feel. I guess there's still a chance that they might be a couple at the end or at least they actually love each others in a romantic way.

Finally someone who mentions 500 days of summer! I also feel the same way, except 500DoS was more light-hearted and healthier while this one leans towards a darker story and delves into toxic relationship.
On Nevertheless, Jul 2, 2021
If you don't like/want the webtoon's ending and/or all you worry about is who will she end up with, then this one is definitely not for you :")
On At a Distance, Spring Is Green Jun 29, 2021
After watching this drama until the latest episode, I realized that I should've just put my expectations under the ground the moment I knew that they will make Sobin a main character and the drama will be aired by KBS. I just can't help but to feel bitter at how they adapted the webtoon.

Ep 5 give me hope if SooJun ship will sail, but ep 6 preview break my hope. Oh please don't play with my heart
I guess it's because they ripped off some of Soohyun's parts in the webtoon for Sobin. That's why it feels like they're going back and forth between the two pairs.

i can see people are worried about the kiss and i'm not saying not to be bc idk how it'll be lol but if you want…
Have you seen Lee Jehoon's short movie "Just Friends"? The kissing scene got me speechless because they literally went vacuum kissing there lol

Sorry for being such demanding brat, but hopefully the kiss won't be the dead fish or kiss the wall type :)
On Nevertheless, Jun 26, 2021
Maybe it's just me, but when Nabi stopped Jaeon from kissing her and then she initiated the kiss herself, it felt like she's saying "Boy, I'm in for whatever game you're gonna play but I won't let you take the control."

okay how tf did this girl kiss him after she saw him kissing that other girl?????? WTFalso i genuinely thought…
Based on my experience and people around me. Fuck boy actually good at treating a girl as if she's special, but at the same time his red flags are pretty obvious. It's up to the victims either they want to turn a blind eye or not lol

I mean if Jun likes Sobin romantically why there's no single moment of him thinking about her whenever he's alone?…
Me too, but also because I really like slice of life genre. If only this drama was on JTBC or any cable network, we could've got a more faithful and proper adaptation. Just like "Mine", one of the main character is lesbian, but people are pretty chill about it, some of them even give praises for the diversity.
