IKR but I think they are not gonna fully go according to webtoon and it feels like they are forcing her to be…
Anyway, don't you think that Jun-Sobin's potential romance is so rushed that it felt kinda suspicious? I mean if you look back to dramas with love triangle, Jun-Sobin's relationship portrays most of MC + Second Lead's relationship, while Jun-Sohyun's relationship portrays most of MC + First Lead's relationship. I'm not saying Jun and Sohyun will be couple (they are not/they haven't been one yet in the webtoon), but I guess the bromance will be the main focus for the later episodes. Someone also told me that if you look closely, some of romance leading scenes between Jun and Sobin actually go back to Sohyun. For example, that Sobin "saving" Jun scene, Sohyun was involved too and then they stared at each other. Jun also wondering whether Sohyun cared for him, they somehow made Sobin "invicible" there.
On At a Distance, Spring Is Green Jun 15, 2021
Still cuts for episode 2 are out. It shows that Sobin will be there on the fighting scene, even though in the webtoon she's not there. Are they not that confident to let the two guys have their own moment? I don't hate Sobin, but I just don't like what they do to make Sobin relevant as one of the main characters. Sobin actually has a LOT of stories and potentials to tell without her having to be with Jun and Sohyun. This includes her long-time crush on her childhood best friend that they didn't even bother to adress properly.

Same, I was slightly annoyed at her because she always appear when the two male leads interacts or talking, and…
I know that they want to include her more to the story. But it doesn't mean she always have to be there whenever the two guys interact. At this point, I just hope that they don't turn this into shitty love triangle, because it will be ruining the original story at its worst. Not to mention, the story itself is slice of life, too much romance is actually not needed.

Ikr, I read comments here saying, in webtoon it was a bl kind of story. So i wanted it to be a bl but i don't…
What frustrates me the most is that if they want to make a light-hearted or rom-com drama, there are literally hundreds of webtoons that more relevant. I mean this webtoon had a complex and dark stories which targeted towards mature audience. If they didn't want to go all out, then it will be better not to adapt it.

Let me just say this and you guys please feel free to comment and share your thoughts to me i hope no i want Kim…
Well, my thoughts are based from the webtoon's original story. First of all, love interest between Sohyun and Sobin will most likely upset the fans of the webtoon, because it has no relevancy to the main plot/conflict yet it will cause an unnecessary drama. Second, what makes Sobin's storyline interesting and different is that her story doesn't fall into cliche execution where an average girl liked by two hot guys. Her story focus more on trying to accept her condition. Lastly and most importantly, this is a slice of life with romance as a secondary aspect, that's why too much romance will actually ruin the original story.

so like... good old queerbaiting no one asked for? Producers should know better now: either deliver or don't go…
Just wanna share a bit of context here. The webtoon indeed has lgbt context. The main/the most prominent conflicts (in term of relationships) are Jun's family drama and Jun-Sohyun's obsession towards each other. Jun is the victim of toxic family and abuse. But he can easily make people like him, except Sohyun. Hence, it made Jun interested with Sohyun. Once Sohyun put his guards down to Jun, that's when the obsession started to grow. Because Jun finally had someone he can be clingy and vulnerable with, while Sohyun had this kind of saviour complex that he needed to protect and care about Jun. Things got more complicated when Sohyun dated Jun's brother, Junhwan. Both brothers were broken and depressed yet they found comfort in Sohyun, so there's some kind of rivalry. Well, the writer of the webtoon was indeed criticized for queerbaiting, since Jun-Sohyun was way too intense to be just best friends. The webtoon isn't finished yet, but it seems like Jun and Sohyun will figure out their true feelings toward each other. As for the drama, I actually find it annoying that they make Sobin as one of the leads when in the webtoon she's just a supporting character with her own story. That's why I no longer have expectation to the drama, so I won't be very upset if they ruin the original story.
On At a Distance, Spring Is Green Jun 14, 2021
At first, I was interested in this drama because of Kang Minah. But when I read the webtoon I was like "Why did they make Sobin (Minah) as one of the leads? The only true leads are Jun (Jihoon) and Sohyun (Inhyuk)." Putting Sobin more into the scenes feels like they try to tone down (or even worse, censor) the intense and ambigous bromance between Jun and Sohyun. Which I find it rather disappointing. The first episode seemed like they push Jun-Sobin romance a little bit too much and too fast that it made me anxious. Well, I guess I'll just lower my expectations toward the drama so when it turns out that they will ruin the original story, I won't be very upset :(

It's been months and there's still no announcement of the official casts, but the next thing we'll know is the drama will be airing even before immortality, winner is king, and other danmei adaptations. That's how unpredictable and random C-dramas can be LOL
On At a Distance, Spring Is Green Jun 9, 2021
All the teasers released are giving off vibes of a rather mediocre drama. Hopefully it's only the surface and the actual drama will surprise me. I kinda have high expectation since it based on a very intriguing webtoon. Since it's rated 15+, I assume they will tone down the story and even change it. If only it's rated 18+/19+, they might be going all out to be faithful to the source material.

love triangle? more like love circle -> the FL, the ML, and the 23879813273912812 girls he has.
Hahaha even the girl also surrounded by some guys right? The bastard ex, the ML, the junior, and the childhood friend.

Title Sweet & Sour
Its because both are based on the same novel. It is shown in the ending credits.
Ooh I see. I guess they didn't say it in the promotion to keep the plot. But still, for those who already watched Initiation Love will know the whole story even from the first 15 minutes lol

Okay but why nobody mentioned that this movie is literally the same as Initiation Love? By saying literally the same, it means that I'm like rewatching a movie but with different actors.

people will disagree with me but i was frustrated watching this drama, that was just my viewing experience. it…
I actually agree with you. Personally, I found that Yangcrates and Yeseul are the most interesting characters throughout this drama. Both also delivered such a strong performance. I also felt like after Yeseul's case was disclosed, this drama gradually lose the intensity. I'm sorry but episodes 14 and 15 felt so rushed and not that gripping in some ways.
On Nevertheless, Jun 2, 2021
I guess I know why people who already read the webtoon prefer for this drama following the same story as the webtoon. Especially the ending, changing it will ruin the whole point of the story. Also, why the hell there's a love triangle tag? I mean in the webtoon the so called SML came to the scene on the last few chapters. How could you even considered him SML with that kind of condition.

the drama isn't even out yet and some of yall bashing it already? oh my god, if you u don't like cliche webtoon…
The description actually didn't do justice, but at the same time it keeps the real plot. For someone who is very selective with romance drama, I'm really invested to this drama. I just hope that they follow the webtoon which is so far from cliche, even to the point that it might not be suitable for everyone's taste (especially for people who like the lovey dovey type of romance drama).

Guys the original webtoon story is not much of a pure romance type of thing. It's more about a kinda toxic, realistic…
I agree with you. Although it may seem cliche, it's actually a fresh take on this kind of genre. Also, I guess this story isn't for everyone, especially those who like typical lovey-dovey kdrama. Sure there are cute and sweet moments, but this one has its own direction.

Yeah it's already ended. I didn't consider him as 2ML since he only came to the scene towards the last chapters of the webtoon. Besides, the main story was about the relationship of a couple who happened to break up at the end and then found another person to date. For me personally, the story kinda gave me the vibes of (500) Days of Summer.

If they followed the original webtoon, the main focus will be revolving around the relationship journey between Jae Uhn and Na Bi. That's why the love triangle tag is kinda inaccurate. She's starting off a new relationship with other guy at the end, not choosing one over the other (just like the love triangle concept). Besides, what the webtoon artist wanted to convey is that many people these days no longer consider dating as something serious. Some just wanna have fun or do not like loneliness. Some just like the idea of dating not the person. I actually hate love triangle, but this one is a fresh take on romance drama. For that reason, I will give this a shot!
