Not sure why some viewers said that FL's transformation is not convincing, that she was weak and naive and now…
Also they're forgetting that she was basically the Empress for ig 5 years(?), and she gave advice to her husband during this time, so she obviously understands court politicsT-T
he's from the organisation that initially smuggled the gold bars in SK
no, Yes Money was told to keep the gold bars safe, and to give them back to these people by the Chairman. That guy is from Cambodia (i think?), and the gold bars basically belong to them
tbh Woogy was the only likable character in this drama, despite being extremely violent lol. I felt bad for fl, but she wasn't likable, neither was she super smart, and she wasn't supposed to be likable imo? I am all about stealing from billionaires, but honestly, she didn't have a good reason to do all that, except being greedy, and from the synopsis, I thought she'd understand why her greed is a bad thing, but she understood nothing, and had zero character development. Idk if this is gonna have another season, but I just hope they make it full-on romance cause the thriller aspect of it is just so bland.
Calling the murderer in this one a psychopath would be a mischaracterization
While everything he does can be explained as “vigilante justice”, I do think it is his coping mechanism too. If he got to kill his wife's rapist, I don't think he'd choose to kill anyone else. Because he couldn't kill the one who ruined his life, he tries to live by killing the abusers who ruined the lives of people he sees himself in. I love this movie's message. It isn't necessarily justifying murdering evil people, but it isn't demonizing people who choose to murder as their last resort to live. I think its criticising the corrupt system that fails to protect the victims, and the main villain in this movie being a detective is just chef's kiss. God, I love this movie sm
This made me realise how much I miss watching fun kdramas with a hint of romance. I feel like nowadays everything is either action-packed serial killer stories or trauma-packed lovestories. I haven't watched a single kdrama this year that made me laugh this much, while having a pretty good plot. My only complaint is the way they developed the romance between the leads. If CEW and PEB didn't have such good chemistry, I wouldn't have liked it this much(I wish they get casted in a romcom)
the best part of this drama was the ghost. i felt so connected to her, probably more than the fl
the romance sub-plot was honestly so unnecessary too? i usually like romance subplots, but in this case, the detective's character had no purpose for this story, and he had no real connection with the fl, even tho i did like their chemistry in the beginning. if they wanted to go for the romance plot, they should've made his character more important to the story😭😭
I really related to ml here, and loved the fl's personality in the first half. But they really butchered her character in a way that makes zero sense to me. Ig the writer wanted to write something serious, but all I see is bad writing and inconsistent characters.
