the romance is so fast-paced, but its kinda cute. the ml is so hilarious, but the fl's acting is kinda off at times i feel? she's great at comedic scenes, but other times, not so much.

fl abandoning ml and keeping in touch with sml is something i hate with every fiber of my being, but ZW has a special place in my heart, so imma forgive her lol. Even though I understand why she did what she did, I still find it quite cruel and selfish, especially cause of the way she broke up with LXX. But them being just messy teens with no parental support makes it sm understandable imo? Also LXX's grandpa telling an 18 year old that someone she loves is on death bed cause of her when she, herself, was a victim is so evil. Its sm worse cause he thinks its coming from a place of care, when he did the most harm to LXX (LXX was right— the Lus are all shitty)

y'all are all so parasocial its insane (both the ones defending him, and the ones hating on him to the extreme). is it too hard to remain unbiased over a case about a dead person? this isn't a career-shattering controversy, it involves a dead person who he allegedly had a relationship with when she was a minor(i am not gonna speak on who did what wrong cause i am not following this case anymore)

you should read the manhwa. i found him quite autistic-coded there. he basically has the same freaking routine, wears the same t-shirt, eats the same thing, doesn't understand social cues, and romantic feelings. Also he gets literally mad at the ml for disrupting his routine, it was to the point he has a breakdown. i related to him a lot too(i am level 1 autistic)!!

he's the most autistic-coded ml I've seen after the mc from Semantic Error😭 he's so adorable, I wanted more eps of their dating arc :(

This is literally the first Ding Yuxi series that I've finished. I think we all knew that Hai Xia was gonna die, but the problem is they killed off such an important character, and gave us a BS reason for it??? If they wanted to stick to the novel, then they should've never revived him. Hai Lou killing Hai Xia was so OOC, the bailejing arc made no sense to me, and Hai Qi getting revived all of a sudden is so ridiculous....This drama's plot was quite ridiculous to begin with, but they butchered the one thing that made the viewers stick with the drama - Lou-Xia's bond.

Hai Xia is dead in the novel, so even if they give us a season 2, it'd probably be ZHL fighting alongside ZQL and WX

ZHX, you were too perfect so the writers had to do this to you. They really killed off two of the mcs(then revived one, and gave us zero explanatio), and showed us the chief and her victim being happy (i genuinely didn't gaf about both of them, and i don't even think anyone shipped them. their romance part was so forced and unnecessary, when they could've used that time to give more meaning to ZHX's demise). I knew Hai Xia's end would be tragic, but they barely even showed Hai Yan crying over him??? I genuinely feel like they cut off their scenes in Ep 33

I have no idea how to rate this drama. I knew it'd end this way, but I am still in denial.

the reason a lot of people like goblin and dismiss the age gap is def cause of misogyny, but at the same time, its fantasy, which makes it easier to ship the leads (i still found it weird tho) and this drama was potrayed as this coming-of-age romance between a student and a teacher. You won't see a teen girl getting groomed by a goblin, but you do see teachers preying on their students all the time, and this drama normalises it(i am not saying that the age-gap in goblin is okay (like the fl literally calls the ml ahjusshi and somehow, its supposed to be romantic, but this drama causes a lot more harm than goblin at justifying pedophilia).

All of SIG's dramas since Doom at your service have been so bland, and boring, and he keeps getting typecasted as the “cold, perfect green flag” which just doesn't suit him tbh, but I still keep watching them for him. I can already tell this is gonna be a frustrating watch cause of the sml and fl's past. I do like the chemistry between the leads. The ost is so good too. The direction for Ep 1 felt so awkward at times. I hope ep 2 would be better

tbh the romance part of this was the only reason i watched it. PBY always has the best chemistry with her mls, and KSC matched her acting level here. Despite Woogy's character not being so fleshed out, he was able to potray his feelings perfectly!! I wanna see them together again in a rom-com or maybe a romance heavy thriller with a better scriptT-T

“moments that just won't happen in real life” isn't that the purpose of fiction? tho i remember loving this show cause of how relatable it was. the way it potrayed depression, generational trauma, grief, living in a small town, and trying to fit in a big city was all so realistic to me(tho i wasn't a fan of Mr. Gu's backstory)
