The reason YX was forced to "retire" from Excellent Era was that he didn't like to make appearances and doing activities that would put him in the spotlight like accepting sponsors. He was more concerned with just playing Glory and enjoying it.
The guy who manages the team (forgot his name) and the boss of the team got greedy and wanted more money so they came up with some ridiculous terms that wouldn't allow YX to leave freely, since they feared another team would pick him up and be stronger, and instead had to say he was retiring so that no one could have him.
I do not ever really watch Korean dramas. I've only watched a few here and there. I prefer to watch Chinese dramas. I saw my first Thai Lakorn on Netflix and have watched a few more since. At first the language sounded a bit weird but I got used to it.
Yep, I made it to ep 44 before I finally gave up. Even wrote a review and gave it 4.5 star's... (Honestly, that might have been more than this drama deserved.)
But yeah, every drama with Zhao Li Yang as the main, from what I've seen, has been a huge disappointment! Her acting is not very good (imo) and I don't believe I will ever watch anymore dramas with her as the main.

Agreed! I watched The Journey of Flower which had Zhao Li Ying as the main female lead and was greatly disappointed as well.
I don't know why but so far both dramas that featured her have been a big disappointment. She was actually a bit better in Princess Agents than in The Journey of Flower.
Since this series was so disappointing, I moved onto watching Mengfei Comes Across, only 4 eps subbed so far, which has lightened my mood considerably and gave me good laughs.
Okay, so I watched and watched and watched some more, all the way up to ep 42, hoping that it would get good but then I realized it never would since I was already almost done with it..
The main female was much better in this series but honestly, the development was so slow.
