In every single episode, they exceeded my expectations. I have a hard time explaining how perfect this drama already has become. This drama comprehends that every episode matters and every single scene serves a purpose. I'm shocked about the growth of the main leads they have come a long way. From episode 1 you see the difference and transformation. My emotions suffered a lot because of the intensity of the 2 episodes, especially the reunion. Also kudos to the staff members who brought the cinematography to life. The same also goes for the writer I mean to have this level of dedication to stick to your writings. Not to change it because of outside opinions or ratings for the drama. Our main leads perfected their craft with every new single episode and scene. I'm still wishing and hoping for a happy end they deserve it. I'm gonna give my thoughts on the episode sometime this week. This one is a more general overview and the emotional impact it has on me.
I don't even know where to start, this drama already exceeded my expectations and beyond. This drama is already my favorite of all time when it comes to period/josen drama. But it's also on my top 3 Kdrama of all time. I loved how the drama went back and forth with the timeline to not only make it believable but also show us what the aftermath was. I'm also glad and appreciate they took the time to show us the ugly side of war, and how people were dehumanized and treated less than animals. Again I have to thank the staff and cast for continuing to film a high-quality drama. Last but not least ur beloved main leads. The acting is in every episode beyond greatness its perfection. The dedication, consistency, and discipline they have shown us is only to be admired.
Congratulations to us guys for being patient and interacting with one another. I believe this is how we survived the long wait and it was worth it. I got a new perspective on the drama thanks to you guys. Tomorrow the rollercoaster of emotions will start, make sure to have a lot of tissue can't wait. 😭🥹🫡
While waiting for part 2 to come back, I came across an interesting Chinese drama called: Battle of Changsha (2014). This is about the invasion of China from Japan somewhere in the late 30s. It has a lot of similarities with my dearest. especially the main leads, I know it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea. But give it a chance you gonna like it is about 32 episodes long and 41 minutes long. You can watch it during the week. Let me know if you love it or dislike it love to read your comments.

My favorite Korean dramas of this year are My Dearest and The Worst of Evil. Also right now I kind of like the weekend drama Live Your Own Life. I'm just in shock that in the whole of the year 2023, I only loved 2 dramas. This means that a lot of bad dramas have been airing so far or my taste/expectations have been raised.

Anyone else going to rewatch right before Part 2 on Oct 13th, besides me?
This weekend I will start watching part 1 again starting with episodes 1 & 2. Then next weekend's episodes 2 & 3 and so and so forth. This way it feels like you are watching it for the first time and also trying to watch it from a different & New perspective.
As of right now, I have some mixed feelings about this. I'm very happy to see it come back and have another emotional rollercoaster. But at the same time, it also pains me to see that we are watching the last part. The excitement of looking forward to it every week will also end. Every good thing has to have an end and sadly this great drama is no exception. Let's make it the best experience and go out with a firework. 🥹😭🤧🫡
