I can't believe he's a rookie actor? His performance in The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty makes him seem like an experienced one. Hope he gets more roles that will showcase his talent. There's potential for someone as young as him.
Actually, the bromance thing on this drama of Hu Yi Tian is not like what you've seen in those B.L drama, according…
I know he has a female love interest lmao? I'm literally also watching it for Xiao Yan? I'm not expecting it to be BL. Just pointing out the bromance that fans on weibo and douyin are talking about. You're not the only one who can read chinese here.
This must be the adaptation that is the most faithful to the novel (the scene with Xiao Yuer "dying" to him being resurrected and jumping to hug his brother went EXACTLY like the novel, word by word) and while I appreciate that, I wish they could've changed Princess Lianxing's fate and not have her die at the hands of her sister.
I feel proud of myself that this is the first cdrama of 2020 that I've completed without regrets, considering that I can barely finish cdramas nowadays, but maybe it's got to do with the lack of wuxia these days which I've missed soooo much.. This one will mark down as one of the best adaptations of the novel. My favorite scenes are the well-choreographed fights and wuxia-nerdy scenes, Xiao Yuer using his brains and the interactions between the brothers (I feel like HYT and CZY both have better chemistry with each other than with their respective love interests lol). The only big issue I have with this drama is the editing, but it's understandable considering they had to cut down from 50+ eps to 40+ due to NRTA new quota.
Honestly, I like Xiao Yuer with Tie Xinlan better only because of her better personality. Su Ying is such a disgusting…
If you think su ying is bad in this adaptation, wait till you see how worse she is in the novel lol. When meeting tie Xinlan for the first time and learning that she is a love rival, she wishes to take TXL's heart out and stab her heart until there are holes in it before deciding to kidnap her to wei wuya's palace. The girl is selfish but crazy as hell. This adaptation is actually doing her favors by whitewashing her despite what she tries to do to HWQ.
