Props to this drama for staying consistent and ending it on a satisfying note. Which is difficult to get, not every cdrama with their pathetic sad endings has that to their credit.
Mo Dao Zu Shi is the hottest web novel and anime of the year with a HUGE following. What is still not clicking for you regarding this series being hyped as it is?
Did all viewers here become fans of this drama because of novel / anime and etc. ? I dicided to watch this drama…
I saw it without seeing the other adaptations and the source material. Watched 2 eps but wasn't convinced and went to watch the anime instead. Finished in one day and was hooked by the story. Then I retried the drama and had a change of heart, now I'm addicted.
And the much anticipated Anime:Ma Dao Zh Shi has officially started.First three episodes are out.Sadly it will…
Apparently, the anime team passed the deadline for submitting the episodes to the government (April 2019) before finishing the entirety of season 2, so they could only submit the ones they finished producing aka 8 episodes only. That's why they immediately also confirmed season 3 since they'll be more episodes.
For anyone curious, The Untamed is currently at 2.59 billion views on Tencent with 18 more eps to go. For reference, Guardian reached 3B last summer with 40 eps, holding the record of the most viewed web drama.
It’s at 7.1 in douban which is considered really good apparently.
Guardian’s popularity was due to word of mouth. It reached 7.0 on Douban before it was taken down. Weirdly, Guardian’s Douban page is still gone so no idea about the final score.
I know c-netz always go overboard with hating female celebs that get in the way, but they need to let it go. It was clear from the start that WQ/WWX were never gonna be a thing. If she really was this rich, she’d be female lead by now (like Jing Tian who comes from a rich background), but she’s been in nothing more than supporting roles since she debuted so far.
The Untamed’s Douban score keeps increasing. Debuted at 4.8/10 and it is now 7.1/10 for this week. Once an ancient drama goes above a 7, it is considered great in Douban standards.
Now that we are half way through and near the end of the flashbacks (my heart couldn't take anymore flashbacks)…
To be fair, if Weiying hadn’t gone down the dark path, he’d be dead already. What other choice did he have? He’s aware of what Wangji and Lan Xichen told him, but what else can he do without a golden core. But they didn’t know that yet.
Hello, why is it so important for a man to wear a sword? Is it kind of a rule, a decorum for a man in wuxia world?…
This is xianxia, not wuxia. A sword is a cultivator’s common/main weapon that they cultivate with, so as they train themselves for immortality, they increase the sword’s power which reflects their cultivation level at the same time. Their Qi (spiritual energy) is also channeled through the sword. Without a sword, they don’t have anything much to fight with...
