Actually they cancelled the ban due to negative reactions. Yesterday, another series called Investiture of Gods (another historical/fantasy drama) started airing, so it must be true.

I wonder if this is a loose adaptation because some stuff are VERY different from the original work...

Destiny of the White Snake is more like a spinoff, while this one is much closer to the original work.

Love her in The Legends, she played two different characters really well.
She’s also just as good and expressive in Legend of the White Snake. Looking forward to her future projects and her eventual lead roles!

Did anyone notice that they changed the background music in that one scene in the last episode? The version that was released for Youku VIP members had all three background music which made the scene even more emotional and heartbreaking, but the one on Viki and YouTube had only the ending theme song as the BGM??? How annoying
