Well well well, this article convinced me to give it a go. Started 3 days ago and I'm 28 episodes in...full binge mode going (which works well with quarantine lockdown). This is the first long family K-drama I watched, going to miss everyone when it's over...can anyone please recommend me similar family K-dramas to fill the void for me? Thank you
Have to join in, started binge watching this last weekend, still not up to speed with the current episode, but my god this hits you in the feels. I cried twice! The young actors are fab, the dads are the best, and I really can't fault it. Best C-drama I've watched by far (if it continues right through to the end with the same quality of writing) and might be the best drama of the year full stop.
So, so good. I had this on my To Watch list for ages but never got around to it. Now that S2 is airing, I took the plunge and binge watched S1 in 3 days. Really gripping, interesting & flawed characters, highly recommend

I find it interesting how as the years have passed, and Korean society (at least the younger generation) has become more progressive this is reflected in Kdramas airing, it's less of a rarity to have a powerful FL, but the gender disparity is still evident (poor FL vs poor ML). Going to read your first two articles now, and will await your fourth one. Appreciate the time it took to pull this together!
I just finished watching and zipped through it, have to say it wasn't perfect, but it was definitely enjoyable. Thankful for this series for gifting me with the knowledge of Woo Do Kwan's existence. :D
