are there any other mini dramas that are as good as this in plot and acting? can someone recommend pls? doesn't need to be a similar genre but a similar quality. TIA
tbh didn't plan on watching this bc ML hasn't impressed me in other works but ..it's Bai Lu so I gave it a go. V pleasantly surprised! There's actually a decent plot, ML actually looks gooooood with this styling, and I really love the demon costuming and styling overall.
omg this got made into a drama? ?? Zhao Jin Mai is really great at picking scripts, she's starred in quite a few adaptations of toptier webnovels. yayy
had high hopes bc I love FL and her acting so I was worried this would disappoint me but I really really enjoyed first 2 eps. Dammnit should have waited until this was over to binge

I disagree about the idol, she genuinely seems heartbroken. If she is acting then honestly she deserves an acting career bc my heart is breaking for her. Now that I know the backstory her emotions are v understandable to me.

I agree w you that she shows her true self only to XW, whereas for ZZ she is trying to fit the version of a person that she thinks he will like (for e.g. faking an interest in jade restoration). but I still ship w ZZ ...wishful thinking I'm sure
Is the plot great? No The webnovel was basically like a wattpad story, so there's that. I'm just enjoying all the visually pleasing people everywhere :D Some might say it's a waste of all the actors' talent but I think it's more like a testament to their acting and chemistry. Despite the plot I'm still watching haha
I was actually hyped for this but it's disappointed me so far, which is unfortunate.
There are already so many forced misunderstandings, cliches, illogical moments etc that I have to roll my eyes. ML is cute and his character seems v green flag but I see zero chemistry w FL. (btw this has nothing to do w age gap, or acting skills, FL was great in Someday or Oneday, the two just have no chemistry imo on screen. Dropped this as of ep 7, as I'm not curious enough to watch what happens next.
He is my fave character too, and in the novel he is real and endgame. lmao I'm mad at this ep 30 nonsense

What's wrong with me pointing out what the novel's ending is? Also this drama followed the novel so closely, almost exactly all the way, dialogue etc, except they added ep 30 to make a new ending. It's obviously my right to compare a drama based on a novel to original source.
