I'm only on ep 2 and am having a hard time tolerating such a whine-ass FL.
I watched 3 eps and so far she mainly speaks in an annoying, whiney voice and idk it's really irritating me. I really liked the book so i'm pretty disappointed in FL acting so far. I think her voice may be just making this worse? Will continue watching and hope for the best
I wish we had a bit more context as to how much time has passed from Dragon Bones prison (15 yrs promise) to current episode...'cause I'm confused if that deadline has been met or not yet? Not reading the book yet bc I'm massively on team XL and I'm scared of the book's ending haha
I'm kinda confused as to why Wang Churan is being scapegoated for Fireworks of My Heart. She didn't write the original webnovel, didn't adapt the script, wasn't a director or producer so can't be blamed for medical inaccuracies and did just fine in acting (her actual job).
It's incomprehensible to me as to why she now might be dropped from Joy of Life 2, and may lose or has already lost sponsorships apparently due to her anti-fans.
If someone can explain this to me, I would be super appreciative, especially to gain a perspective from someone living in China rn.
ok wtf this had the most cinematic, heartbreaking first episode of any Cdrama I've ever watched. holy shiii that young actor and actress killed me with eyes full of tears. suddenly my expectations have soared for this drama, thanks to everyone who recommended I watch! ^___^

I'm getting a tad frustrated at the cliches scriptwriters are putting in now that were not in the novel (running into a fire lmao) etc etc I get it's impossible to fully convey the complexity of a novel to a drama adaptation but it's just weakening and infantalising characters, because scriptwriters want to take a quick and easy way to force the narrative. I've been re-reading the webnovel as I watch each episode and I wish they had conveyed how truly cunning, ferocious and determined Ren Anle is supposed to be. None of this omg I need a man to save me from a fire BS. Revenge is literally her reason for existing. She lives, eats, breathes revenge and by god nothing will get in her way. Her facade hides a furious rage within her. Crown Prince is also a lot darker and less naive.
TLDR: if you're enjoying the Cdrama, pls read the webnovel!
the revenge plot and whole entanglement with Gu family is a lot more fleshed out in novel, tbh I wish they would have focused on that more instead of annoying fake DZY but oh well, hopefully that will come into focus soon.

nahhhh fake Di Zi Yuan was picked up from the streets as a literal beggar and given a life of relative luxury. Was it fun being stuck in a temple? Probs not, but lots better than starving in the streets.
She had food, shelter, was educated to an elite level and given regular gifts from Crown Prince. Instead of putting her head down and aiming to get tf out of the situation alive, instead she is delulu and genuinely wants to take over real Zi Yuan's position as Crown Princess.
When you're a pawn, don't aim to be queen...especially if you can't play chess properly.
