sure sure let's ignore that FL is stunning, even with dowdy clothes and ultra frizzy hair.... ok, great once we've moved past that, this is by far my fave adaptation of the story. FL & ML's acting was surprisingly good! Loved it, had a cheesy grin on my face at the end :D
the main women in the show are all more interesting (and imo are acted out better) than the men! Dilraba is great in this, love her expressions and vivacious facade and then her more serious side when she can truly be herself. She's pleasantly surprising me here, I can see her acting growth compared to older work, so props to her :D

She can act. She can carry a drama. Even is about an Idol drama or mainstream, the audience is at least stable.…
I liked her in this role a lot, but I honestly didn't enjoy her acting in previous Cdramas. Irrespective of how good or bad the ratings are for any dramas, I use my own personal judgement when considering acting, screenwriting etc.
Personal taste is very subjective. I wasn't insulting her at all. Surely we can accept that what we enjoy isn't to everyone's taste? Glad you enjoy her acting, but kindly accept that your opinion will not be shared by everyone. Hope we can all co-exist peacefully.

however....despite the the super young past self kinda giving me an ick and the lil babygirl voice, ngl I fell for this Cdrama hard. It's soooo sweet and delightful.
I just knew that the director was a woman bc it was shot so beautifully and for the female gaze. So if anybody is like me and was avoiding this due to FL, pls give it a shot, it's an instant serotonin boost! Their love is so perfect and unrealistic but so what, it makes me smile to watch them onscreen :D

I skip the 2nd couple plotline b,c to me, it's very boring but love everything else. legit smouldering chemistry between main couple
super scripted but also super cute. Some dating shows *coughhh heart signal 4*** could learn from the icebreaking sessions to get different ppl to mix at the start of a show. ngl the makeup class would be super fun to do, even just to make friends and get ppl comfortable w each other.

I thought it was decent but didn't move me as much as I thought it would. Maybe my expectations were too high but I couldn't help compare to other (and imo much better) Chinese films like Better Days, Love Will Tear Us Apart & Us And Them. 7/10
