I'm in two minds... TTJ is so much nicer/softer than in novel and we're getting all these sweet scenes that it's kinda great. However, the drama also kinda dumbs down LSS a lot and bc they changed so much from the novel, a lot of key moments are now either illogical or out of character to what was shown in drama.
I feel like if I hadn't read the novel I wouldn't be enjoying this Cdrama as much bc I'd be like wtf why is LSS acting like that etc

I think it's bc after FL's mother found out the truth she stormed out and left a letter saying "how could you tell such a lie? guess you don't need a mother, don't come looking for me". FL mother was just being her usual annoying and guiltripping self so I guess FL went to crash the wedding and in the next episode maybe she's gonna continue the lie that ML is actually the dad, to placate her mother? But also when FL went to visit ML's mother I believe she was genuinely feeling bad for ML to have to marry such an awful person. hope that helps
I was trying to explain to a friend why I'm enjoying this so much when at its core it's your typical makjang weekend drama, riddled w cliches and toxic people .... I think it's because (a) pacing is good, things happen quickly and aren't stretched out forever (b) we actually have some genuinely decent ppl to root for (ML, FL, ML's mother, ML's lil sister) (c) ML & FL relationship is wholesome in the sense that it's not insta-love and they are supporting each other through tough times (d) writers give us a v satisfying scene every couple of episodes. bad ppl get slapped, evil ppl's lies get revealed. It's what we wanna see, amid all the toxicity
