Genuine friendships, a lovely cast, no vicious drama, and some nail-bitingly tense moments made this show a winner for me. 10/10 would recommend. Binged this in 2 days and have zero regrets
This was wholesome AF and really should have been sponsored by the Kyoto Tourism Board. The most exciting thing to happen was a lost hair tie but nonetheless this was still an enjoyable peaceful 2 hours spent :)
I know the Reply series is a beloved one, and different people have their favourites, but I started with this one as Reply 1988 seems to have the majority vote for best one. My expectations are super high now for that one because I absolutely loved Reply 1997. For a show that has so many references to porn & poop, this is such a heartwarming drama and legit made me crease up with laughter. Super enjoyable!
10/10 absolutely in love with this series. Shot so beautifully, both the main leads were amazing, I found myself getting the drama flutters in the first episode when I realised how great this series could be, and was anticipating each next episode. I really can't fault it at all.
If you have yet to watch it, I am jealous of you, as I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again.
Just finished watching this, started with zero expectations and ended up binge watching the entire series in a few days, so was definitely addictive! Ending was unsatisfactory to say the least though and this had maaajor second lead syndrome
The ending genuinely pissed me off. What had been just a lovely, heartwarming series fell seriously flat on its face during the last 2 episodes. Would give it 9.5/10 for episodes 1-22 and 2/10 for episodes 23-24 argh!!!
So, I think I watched ep1 of this aaages ago and don't remember it being particularly interesting so dropped it. However, this series always came up recommended and highly rated, so decided to give it another go this weekend. Wow. After ep2 I was hooked. The dialogue, plot, everything. What a heartbreaker of a series. 10/10
You have long series with 40+ episodes that drag on and on and on...and then there's this gem. I really loved it and felt it deserved a proper series of 12+ episodes. We never got to see ML's development and there was a lot more they could have delved into. It's rare to see a true introvert/cold FL and I love this theme. 2 hours v well spent!
Can anyone let me know why he's putting the stethoscope on her head?? Is her heart located in her brain? Sorry but this cracked me up and has made me scared to watch this.
